How was Alien Progressive?!?!? The Facehugger was a parasite, it had no gender because its purpose was to insert a chestburster and die, though Ripley was semi-feminist The xenomorph was not non-binary as Ash called it "Kane's Son."
alien was actually super progressive for having an intersex icon (facehugger) be the star of the film, as well as a pissed off feminist hero (Ripley) and a nonbinary legend (xenomorph).
now granted they all spend at least part of the movie naked, but, wasn't bad for the 80s, alright?
