sorry for the lack of posts in the past few days, I haven’t really been in the right mood to draw, here’s an old wip that I decided to “finish” and animate.

Here’s a bit of a timeline for a piece I made with @dawnsoda
This is the image we started with, just some random blobs of color we got from artbreeder.com .
I then traced the image to see what a potential character from it could look like.
Made some sketches of what the character’s outline could look like before settling with this one
Added color and a background (+changed some minor stuff)
And passed it to @dawnsoda, who did a simply fenomenal shading job on it!
This is a bit different from what I usually post but I hope it was enjoyable! Might do more posts with this approach in the future, we’ll see.

Frond Friend
Swordtember 4: Elemental I thought just drawing an elemental sword would be kinda boring so I instead made a sword based on the periodic table of elements with the ability to change forms! Obviously I decided to not make one for every element (for now) but it was really fun to come up with something for each of the four elements I picked!! This is by far the sword that I’ve put the most work into so far so I really hope you guys like it as much as I liked working on it ^w^
Jonathan Harker, futuristic real estate lawyer, travels to a planet only recently served by the trans-universal space transport. There, he meets the inhabitants: a new humanoid alien race who appear relatively mundane, though exotic, to Harker's eye. They seem very troubled when they learn who is his client, pressing strange amulets on him. Harker knows there are risks to space travel and exposure to alien civilizations, but he is confident he's prepared to deal with whatever he encounters. Silly earthling.
The thing that Dracula Daily, by the pauses between entries, really let’s us see is how the biggest foe the protagonists face is the lack of context. Mina, Jonathan, Seward, Quincy and Arthur are not dumb. But since they do not know the warning signs, they cannot protect each other from Dracula. They cannot put two and two together, because they are lacking the other half of the equation. If they even knew a little bit of lore, they would have done things differently. This is why retellings of Dracula in the modern day suffer, because the characters by that point WOULD know what a vampire is and what signs to look out for. If by nothing else, then just by popular culture osmosis. So to really capture the feeling of Dracula and the dread of not knowing, Dracula would have to be an alien or something entirely different. Just because the ignorance the characters have and the ad hoc way they have to fight Dracula are such key aspects of the story.

Humans Are Crazy
Aliens have such different gender and biology from humans that none of them menstruate. So imagine this.
Alien: Human Steve, why did I find blood on the lavatory floor?
Steve: Oh, that's just Karen.
Alien: What??
Steve: Human females bleed from their reproductive organs once every month for five to seven days.
Alien: wHAT?!
Steve, calmly: Yeah, they can lose enough blood in a lifetime to kill ten grown men.
Alien: WHaT ?!?!
Karen, walking in: Steve, I need A FUCKING break. And chocolate. And a heating pad. I'll be in my sleeping quarters. Also, I threw up.
Steve: Okay, take the day off, I'll bring you your stuff in a bit.
Alien: *jots down in notebook* Human females are indestructible and fearsome. Regard them with respect.
EDIT: I swear, if this is the thing that makes me Tumblr famous, I’m gonna blow a braincell. And I don’t have many of those left, so…

Now this is an illustration I am definitely happy with but will probably hate later. It’s a plant with an almost jelly like middle and it’s rind is a natural gelatine substitute. I called it Meisai and it’s one of the many plants featured in my kickstarter fantasy journal project you can check out below.

Lately I’ve been considering continuing a story I came up with last year for school; “EXTINCTION 6.” That’s not what I called it at the time, but it’s what I’m calling it now lol Anyways, this one of a weaponized T.Rex is a watercolour based off of skeletal reconstructions of Sue. The antagonist in the plot is a giant rival organization who currently possesses the most of the [insert cool name for a futuristic tech material here] and can use it to arm and control dangerous dinosaurs like this Rex. The story is taking place after humans essentially destroy the planet, hence the name Extinction 6. Where are the dinosaurs from? Um… I definitely didn’t use the whole genetic engineering scheme of Jurassic Park….

The Future
Hey Law of the Jungle fans, my jungleheads, it's been a while since the last chapter, and I kinda dropped the series for a while. Thankfully, I've been reinvigorated back into the writing sphere with some news for you all. 1 Law of the Jungle will be resuming, and I'm going back to editing some of the past couple chapters that I'm not quite satisfied with. When they are edited I will send out an announcement that the edits are complete. ALSO I think I'm gonna start posting the chapters onto AO3 after recently learning about the site. 2 This is the cool one. Under a new pen name "Skin" I'm working on a weird west comic book called "Wizardworld" which is being posted to Tapas, check it out if you have the time or want to. If you just happened to see this without a clue as to what this is or who I am, take this as a sign to start or finish that book you've been wanting to write.

finally. after weeks of trying to get it done, 19 hours of actual working on it and selling my soul to the devil, the first character concept art for Möbius Strip comic is ready.
