[1/2] JYL Kills WWX AU: In Response To The Idea Of JYL Using Suibian To Kill Her Brother, It Takes Her

[1/2] JYL Kills WWX AU: In response to the idea of JYL using Suibian to kill her brother, it takes her a little over a week to fully register what she did. In that moment, she felt relief, triumph. She obtained justice for her late A-Xuan who was so brutally murdered by WWX's Ghost General, and was it not within her right to do so? Everyone who celebrated WWX's death reassured her that no one could blame her, and yet why, after the festivities have died down, does she feel so empty?

[2/2] She’s alone in her room when the realization finally hits her, when she can think without the distracting cheers and praise of the LLJ and many other sects’ disciples. She killed her brother. She took his own sword and killed him, and she’s not even sure if she could call it an act of justice. After all, she only felt the fury that was deeply hidden within her as she drove the blade through A-Xian’s neck. Perhaps she’s more like the Violet Spider than anyone thought, she thinks.

[3/2] She even spat venom at him as he fell to the ground, blood pouring from the wound in his neck «she» made, and as she recalled the scene, she could easily see her mother’s face over her own. Instead of pride for finally showing she was indeed YZY’s daughter, she can only feel shame and remorse. She used the hidden strength from her mother to mercilessly slaughter her brother, and she cries herself to sleep harder that very night than when A-Xuan was pronounced dead.

Oiran x Maiko

An ABO AU where omega!Ryunosuke and omega!Kosuzu are an oiran and maiko in love

(A big thanks to my friend on Discord, Paullsia, who helped me with this!)

Ryunosuke’s backstory remains relatively the same. He’s still the son of a samurai who sold his status to pay off his debts and a mother who refuses to acknowledge that the glory days are over. He also has his affinity for art and works peasant jobs to put food on the table. His fate diverges when his mother decides to sell him to a brothel in Kyoto’s red light district since, in her own words, “he might as well sell himself for that, too.” He’s seven at the time.

Kosuzu is the daughter of a geisha, who raised her to love the arts just as much as she did. Her training starts when she’s seven, as well.

The two are fueled by very different things. Where Ryunosuke is motivated by a need to spite everyone who thinks he can’t be cultured and charismatic, Kosuzu simply wants to share her love of song and dance with everyone.

When they first meet at lessons, it’s a rivalry at first sight. Ryunosuke doesn’t understand how someone can be so enthused about putting on a show in these gilded cages, and Kosuzu fails to see how such a grumpy and half-hearted boy can be so good at everything he does. They fight for the top spot in every class they share, pushing themselves to excel far above their peers. Everybody in the district knows their names.

Ryunosuke, running (almost) entirely on spite, shoots up the ranks after his debut and achieves oiran status at the age of sixteen.

Kosuzu is not yet a full-fledged geisha, but she’s why her senior sister has the most recurring customers out of all the geisha in her okiya.

The cream of the crop, everyone is vying for them; however, right under their noses, the pair’s heated rivalry is blooming into a forbidden romance born from mutual respect and a shared love for art.

.

Afterthoughts:

In this universe, omega men are just one step above women in the social hierarchy, and that means all women: alphas, betas, and omegas. An omega man will be deferred to before an alpha woman, even if the world has similar expectations for them. Being male just affords them a few more privileges.

As a male, Ryunosuke is allowed to leave the hanamachi unlike his female counterparts, and typically, this would mean he’d need to disguise his scent and obscure his face. However, he dresses so casually and speaks so crudely outside that he only needs to alter his scent because there’s no way this boorish young man could be a refined courtesan.

When Ryunosuke can’t accompany Kosuzu outside, she might bring back things that she passes onto him at lessons.

Ryu’s professional name is Shuugetsu (秋月 / “autumn moon”). It’s said that the moon is best seen during autumn when the sky is clear, and the weather is neither too hot nor too cold. It’s a beautiful scene, and that’s what he told his ageya when asked why he chose his name. Secretly, it was inspired by Kosuzu after she made a comment during a secret nighttime outing.

In his early years, Ryu was very familiar with irate patrons, earning himself tongue-lashings and resounding slaps, thanks to his poor attitude. One particularly cross man kicked him with drunken rage and would’ve beat him more had his senior brother not quelled the situation.  When his senior brother took the ageya’s punishment on his behalf, he realized what consequences could follow his actions, and that in the future, he must also be willing to shield those under him.

Those of Ryu’s patrons who bring large parties often ask for him and Kosuzu’s senior sister, who’ll bring Kosuzu along as her junior, to work their banquet. This means the pair get to work together a fair amount.

When they’re older, sometime after Kosuzu becomes a full-fledged geisha and has paid off her debt to the okiya, Ryunosuke has a son sired by a young lord who rejects responsibility for them.

Through letters and other means, the omega/omega pair arrange for Kosuzu to become the baby’s guardian after he’s weaned off his mother’s milk, and each of them picks out a character for his name: Kotetsu.

Ryunosuke chooses “ko” as in 琥, referring to his son’s amber eyes; while Kosuzu chooses “tetsu” as in 哲, meaning “sage.”

Ryu actually procrastinates and doesn’t come up with anything ‘til after his child is born, and Kosuzu makes fun of him for choosing something so unimaginative.

The sad part of all this is that he can’t openly be a mother to Kotetsu since his pregnancy was kept secret to preserve the reputation of his ageya. He has to watch him grow up from a distance with barely a hand in his life through Kosuzu.

Bloody Head God

Controversial god!WWX + ABOD’s

.

.

Before ascension, he was a general who survived a stab wound through the head, which left an ugly scar in the center of his forehead. He gained a cult following for this feat and his bloody victory in the war against the foe that mutilated him. His followers all wear red marks in commemoration of his amazing survival with the highest-ranking members wearing actual scars. His statues often double as fountains, water running from thematically appropriate holes in their foreheads.

As an omega god, his image is closer to a fiery force of carnage rather than one of method and strategy. You can thank the sexism that paints omegas as highly emotional (and therefore unfit for the battlefield).

The reality is people have buried the true WWX: his playfulness, charisma, wit, and talent in all the Six Arts. In equal measure, they overlook the part of him that is a defender, a solid and imposing wall between the weak and the ones who would exploit them.

The most obscure aspect of WWX, however, is his motherhood. He is a god, one often depicted as an immense force of violence and martial prowess, but there’s not one good mother alive who doesn’t understand the plight of another.
