we talk about the artist formerly known as kepler as 'middle management,' which he IS, but i think we're all sleeping on the fact that he is also a COLONEL. presumably an air force colonel. my man is an O-6. outside of goddard, only generals outrank him. out of the roughly 1.4 million US military personnel, he's outranked by fewer than a thousand people.

my man isn't any old middle management, he's only middle management because he has to answer to pryce and cutter. i don't know if you've ever had the (dis)pleasure of meeting a colonel, but kepler behaves precisely like a colonel given power in a spec ops area would. he (thinks he is) the special-est boy. he's special in the military and he's also special at goddard. he believes all his own press. he's gay. he's homophobic. he's not asking nor is he telling. he is only middle management when Mom and Dad are around. he's SI-5's eldest daughter who received one too many perfect attendance awards. he is the WORST type of middle management. worst character of all time i want to kiss him on the mouth and shove him out the airlock
