I'm almost finished Malevolent and to distract from that I will rant, this may make no sense but hear me out

Also mild spoilers since a few of my mutuals haven't finished it yet (also I haven't fully finished, I'm up to season 5?? I'm assuming that's the last season)

So as I'm listening I can't get the thought out of my head that Malev would make an AMAZING horror mystery video game, something like the dark pictures anthology, I haven't played all of them but malevolent really reminded me of the devil in me. As well as using something like Detroit become human's choice and morality mechanics, also it's quick time combat would fit quite well.

I think it'd be like you, for the most part where in the perspective OF John, like you were directing Arthur where to go, in a third person perspective, at least through view, though game play wise you'd be controlling Arthur, like with his actions and dialogue. And you'd stay with him for all of it, including flashbacks, which I can imagine would be in first person to show your in the perspective of Arthur when he could see.

It'd also be cool to have the choices you make as the player affect the ending, like all good choose your own adventure video games. Like how you interact with John, and other characters, and choose if you want to play more aggressively or passively, though of course when it gets to part where Arthur is actively making more aggressive choices. And through your actions more or less people you meet and become friends with will die, bringing on that extra fear that the choices you make will kill your favourite companions.

And of course I haven't seen the fanaly so I can't exactly say how your choices would shape how it ends but.... the possibilities.... just imagine. And also the most realistic graphics... and many jumpscares.

Unfortunately this will probably just stay in my widest dreams but one can hope 😔

Maby continuing to listening to malevolent at night was a bad idea but now it has me in a death grip, and now I can't nor won't stop listening

I feel WAY more on edge when listening to it compared to mag, to be fair it makes sense, since in malevolent you're more in the action, I also haven't listened to many other horror pods

I just finished listening to ep 9, AND HOLY SHIT I DONT THINK I'LL RECOVER. I don't think I'm going to go near the ocean again, which kinda sucks since I LIVE near the ocean 👍great stuff
