Chapter 278: In which Yaoyorozu rises

The teachers have been showing what they’re made of in this arc. Who knew Cementoss has such a temper?

But Midnight really shines with her valiant, though ultimately futile effort to stop Gigantomachia. In the face of disaster, Midnight turns to what pro hero? None of them! Instead, 1-A’s own Yaoyorozu. It’s nice to see the female heroes supporting each other.

In fact, say what you will about Horikoshi (and I could say a lot) the female heroes have had their Moments in this arc. And it looks Yaomomo is about to have her own Moment.

She freezes for a second…

…a bit reminiscent of her final exam with Todoroki…

And then fuck, does she rise to the occasion.

Not only that, she motivates the other students, which is the mark of a true leader. Also, Midnight asks Yaomomo to make anesthesia, and Yaomomo actually knows how to do that with her quirk??? The girl has the potential to be way OP.

I love Kaminari here, who has shifted from comic relief to serious hero in this arc.

Looks like the students of UA are about to join the fray. I don’t think Horikoshi will actually harm any of the students, but things will probably get worse before they get better.

Shouto’s quirk is like the coolest quirk.

And most convenient.

In Yuei dormitory

The A1 students decided to watch TV in the common area while Midoriya’s group are in the kitchen. Yaoyorozu is just minding her own business by the counter making tea for everyone as she humms a tune.

They began talking about their hands

Iida: mine are always robotic and square-ish

Ochako: yup (copying iida like the cute girl she is) they look like those old metal robot cartoons on TV

Midoriya : i always wonder if your hands are as cold as metal, is it hard like metal? Or is it just normal hands?

Iida: it feels normal for me, want to touch my hand Midoriya?

Midoriya blushing: ehhh!!! Well if it’s okay (proceeds to hold Iida’s hand) woah! Despite their looks

Ochako: it is just like normal human hands! (She finish deku’s sentence, also touching Iida’s other hand) they’re so soft as well! (Began rubbing his hand to her cheeks)
