Clatter

The twisted spear fell to the ground, blade bent and broken.

A pained groan left the armored beast as his black mask crumbled away, specks of blood dripping onto the stone floor. He fell to his knees, ebony-colored metal cracking as the crimson liquid flowed from the gaps.

"Damnit..." An alarmingly young voice cursed as his matted black head rose.

A gasp left the Traveller and his group.

A boy.

No younger than 14.

His big crystal eyes glaring with hate as blood flowed from the cuts on his face. His pale lips parted, only for coughing to erupt as more blood splattered to the ground. Heavy wheeze's replacing the sounds of combat as a stone of guilt settled in the Outlander's stomach seeing the child struggle to even breathe.

Click-clack

The echo of heels sounded, the boy's gaze lifted. A light shining as everyone tensed.

The figure slowly stepped out of the shadows, white and black dress, red coat, gloves, blonde hair, fair skin, and an obsidian mask twisted into a crown.

"Signora!!" Paimon squeaked with fear, hiding behind the party members.

Her icy-cold eyes stared back at them, her face blank, unlike the first two times they'd met. She was smirking then, but now-

"Mother..." A young male voice rasped.

The boy reached out a trembling hand, struggling to stay upright. Grasping for the woman with all the strength he had left- what little it was. The woman's gaze turned to him, the icy gaze never wavering.

"I'm sorry-" He sobbed, blood leaking from his lips as tears began to prick blue orbs. "You told me to hold them here, but I-" He winced as a price of broken metal dug into his side. Falling back to the cold floor, more of his armor falling from his beaten body. "I couldn't!" His voice continued, barely a whisper. "I failed you!"

"No." A gentle feminine voice soothed. Shock lit their system as the infamous Harbinger made her way to the fallen boy. The ice melting into a warm fire that only a mother could hold. Her gloved hand reached out his, holding it tight as her other lifted his face. Brushing aside his bloodstained locks, all like one was handling glass. "You did well," Her fingers wove into his hair, ruffling it gently. Voice oh so gentle and soft. "I am proud of you."

A choking sob left him, his head lowering. She too leaned down, pressing a comforting kiss on the top of his head. "Rest." She whispered. "All will be well when you awake."

With that, the boy's eyes no longer fought the darkness, and he closed them. The Fair Lady gently, slowly, rested his head against the floor, and with a snap of her fingers, two Fatui agents gently lifted his body and carried him away. All the while the Harbinger watching with a warmth that could melt even the coldest hearts.

However, as her head turned to the group, the warmth vanished. Replaced with a raging blizzard that threatened to swallow all of them whole, and leave nothing in its wake.

The Traveller tensed as she raised her arms.

Swoosh

Needle sharp snowflakes cut their skin, harsh winds stinging their eyes. A thick layer of frost covered the arena, menacingly sharp icicles glittering like teeth now hung from the ceiling. The dill moon showed through the windows, casting a soft light that only furthered the threatening atmosphere of the domain.

Crack

The woman broke off a piece of an icicle, running a finger across it, humming with satisfaction seeing the sharp point.

"I hope you're prepared," She swung the makeshift weapon, her other hand rising to form a ball of cruel ice and snow. "To receive a hundred times the beating you gave him." Her voice rang out, laced with venom and murder. They shivered not from the cold, but from how her eye glowed with pure malice in the moonlight.

"You will forever rue the day you hurt my child."

Do you know the X-men the mutants?? Well, I had this idea and it's that Yuu Kannagi from God Eater is a mutant, he can see the future if he activates his powers, however, he can only do it to a certain area or a person. However, because he's the only mutant that he knows of in the Far East Branch, he hides his powers. Yuu also has 2 childhood friends who are also mutants. However, they were captured by what's left of Sentinel Services.

They used to live in a community of survivors, like the one seen in the anime of God Eater. One day they were attacked by Aragami, so the 3 of them ran. Only to be found by a Sentinel Service controlled facility, and captured. They are then thrown into the Hound Program to be used as soldiers against the Aragami. Who seem to prefer humans with the X-gene in them. Yuu manages to escape but is forced to leave his friends behind as well as everyone else in the facility. He is eventually found by Fenrir and taken to the Far East Branch.

The remorse for leaving them behind leads to him planning out their escape. Using his future vision in a way he's never had before. As he only every looked a few seconds to at most a day in the future during combat or emergency situations. Now, he's looking possibly years into the future and looking at all the possible outcomes for his plan. Then gathers the materials needed secretly throughout the God Eater storyline. It isn't until after the events of everything is he ready, after nearly 2 or 3 years of planning. However, he's hesitant. During the Search Arc, he used his powers and saw himself failing, but he didn't. He changed the future. Does that mean that if he tries now, he might fail? This leads him to leave behind a video for the 1st Unit. Confessing he was a mutant and used them to get what he needed, he apologizes, and tells them not to bother following, because he's made sure it was impossible, but doesn't say where his going or what he's doing, its better they don't know. He leaves in a stolen truck, heading for the facility.

The video is found in a secret compartment in his room, along with a list of materials, a map of the facility, a journal, a photo, and an old camera. (Still unsure of the last one.) The 1st Unit is shocked after watching the video, Yuu managed to trick them all. I don't know they would react, because I'm still on the fence of a lot of things with this. But in the camera, there would be recordings of Yuu's life. From when he was a baby to him fleeing in a panic and fear from the Aragami. They learn his parents were killed by what was left of the purifiers when he was young. His 2 friends, Kiyoko and Hideaki, were pretty much all he had for the majority of his life. Hideaki was the oldest, followed by Kiyoko, with Yuu as the youngest. Hideaki had telekinesis, cliche, but he had short temper, and was quick to anger. But he was the big brother of the group and did his best to protect everyone. Kiyoko could make spikes ranging in size, similar to the Queen from Code Vein, but she was more withdrawn and hesitant with her powers and was easily influenced by others' words.

They also find a recording his mother made for him. Telling him he was a mutant, and to not fear his powers. To use them to protect those he loved. She tells him to not run away. To not run away from himself, his powers, and not to run away from living. This is where he got that line from.

While they're figuring out what to do, Yuu successfully rescues 30 mutants, including his friends. However, there are more left behind. Hide confronts Yuu about this after they leave, his short temper quickly turning things violent. Until Yuu reveals something.

This group had the most success in escaping. Even one person wrong and everyone would have died. He saw it. He saw them die over and over.

Hide is left speechless, unsure of what to do. Kiyo is traumatized, but they all are. Because they resisted the Hound Program. Yuu knows that the most they can stay hidden is a week. After that, he can't help them. He won't look into their futures, not after watching his friends die again and again. But he does know something.

1/10 mutants are compatible with God Arcs. He doesn't know who it is, but there should be 2 others who are compatible.

Unfortunately, they are found by the 1st Unit within said week.

Aaanndd that's all I got... Yeah, no one will probably see this. But I had to get it out there. Maybe I'll even try to write a one-shot or something.
