Hey So Ive Read In A Book That Mokosz Was Also Perceived As A Man A Lot Of Times And I Asked Her About
hey so ive read in a book that Mokosz was also perceived as a man a lot of times and i asked her about it and she confirmed that she "changes genders" and so i wanted to ask if you knew about this? and how do you feel about it?
Hmmm... I honestly never heard of Mokosh being perceived as male...
She has always appeared to me as a goddess! And since she is like, connected to women, women's destiny and fate, and works that are TRADITIONALLY seen as for women... Like sewing and weaving. I never even considered her changing genders.
If that is what you believe in tho, I absolutely respect that! :) 💕
🙂🙂🙂 thanks for the ask!!!

I want to start studying Slavic mythology, but I don't know where to start, read, and genuinely learn about it. You got any good websites about it or smth??
(Sorry about my grammar english isn't my first language 😭)
Hi ! I actually answered this question once, so if you don't mind, i will give you the link to the post where i answered it!
well yes because Mokosz's male aspect was not a god of women and fate but a god of sea with a bottom body part of a fish but that's all her she just has a lot more domains that people don't know of just like some people think Morena is a different goddess than Marzanna and treat Morena as a goddess of autumn and Marzanna as the child-eater while it's all her actually a lot of slavic gods were known to be very fluid and "queer" just wanted to clarify that
Oh! I see. I personally don't agree with that , as i never heard of such take or any information about it! :)
But i respect that you believe in that! I suppose! :')
I expanded my altar! 🌟
So my altar used to just be the space on picture two! But i realized how cluttered it became and I didn't even have space for my rituals... :(
So i took the matter into my hands and expanded the altar onto the nearby table and also expanded Lord Clauneck's altar!
Did i do good? Let me know!

Hii! I saw your post saying you'd be open to questions about your practices and I was wondering if you had any notes for writing an occultist character? (I.e. practices, beliefs, environment/home life, etc) I really wanna do justice to this culture and practice since I've never really looked into it before now.
Thank you so much!
Hi! Sorry for not answering this sooner!
Hm... I don't want to be the type of person who says "just research" but it is true that researching DIFFERENT TYPES of magical paths and occultism is gonna benefit your writing! Expanding your views is gonna help you a lot!
I think that one thing i would love to see when reading about an occultist character, is the challenges of being an occultist. Especially the mundane challenges and obstacles such as:
-unsupportive environment
-prejudice
-AND also! The character's own flaws.
People think that just because a character is a part of a certain group, that they can't have their own prejudice and flaws! Which is very much false.
But also, a lot of writers try to neglect the "bad environment" aspect. They think that no one wants to see that. But it is a biiiiiig part of almost every occultist's lives.
As we all received a bad comment or a few from someone...
I PERSONALLY do not like ignoring such problems in stories! But that's just me!
I'm sorry if my reply was unsatisfactory! :") i tried my best lol
Hey there,
A not so easy and not so quick question: how do you identify the "main" (please keep in mind it is used loosely here) deity you work with?
I found myself in a bit of an eclectic setting where I reach to different gods from different pantheons. And as much as I see them as equally important, becuase they are corresponding to different aspects, I can't tell which one is the biggest part of that. I know it is not a race and some aspects intertwine between them, it just feels a bit all over the place and confusing at times.
A bonus point for any tips on a small, mostly hidden altar. (Hidden for safety of the things on it and because of the space becoming more limited)
Hello there!
Hm... That's a great question!
First I'm gonna just say that you don't really need a "main" deity. But if you wish to have one, i would say that it's best to reach out to deities you feel drawn to, and just give it time. I wouldn't say you can simply find a main deity right after starting to work with them. Building the relationship between you and your deities takes time, and you will most likely find a deity that you prioritize in your work the most, as time goes on. Put in your energy and love for them, and they will do the same to you.
But another way you can try and identify a "main" deity is to find your patron deity. Looking at it objectively, there are similarities... But the definition of a patron deity varies across different cultures and religions. As well as from one practitioner to another. Perhaps you see Apollo as your patron because you are a musician, or a nurse? Or do you see Athena as your patron because you like weaving? Or Ares because you are a soldier? Or Aphrodite because you like beauty and self care?
But personally, i think that in order to find a "main" deity, you have to not only look into their aspects, but also your connection and love for them. As themselves.
For example, right now, i would say that Mokosh and Perun are my main deities, and i am looking to work with Dajbog. They are my main deities because i connected to them the most, and i pray to them the most, offer them the most things.
As for the altar thingy! I would say you can simply put up some more subtle offerings, like... Don't put tarot cards, crystals , statues and stuff. Those are obvious. Put something that is subtle in a plain sight and is meaningful to you and your deity. Altars don't have to be hidden, they can be on shelves, but they need to be subtle.
I hope i answered your questions well and satisfactorily! 🥴🙂🩷
