She Look’d Down to Camelot
A friend in Turkey asked for an illustration from British culture to hang in her shop, so she got this.
(She actually doesn’t know yet, she only follows me on Instagram, shhh)
Because of all you lovely humans I can’t watch this video of a sassy goat without thinking of Eugenides. So thanks for that.

I’m not saying that Eugenides is a goat, but it occurred to me today that his life goals tend to boil down to “stand on top of tall places” and “look splendid”, and that sounds an awful lot like what a goat does.
When giving arguments for the gospel, demanding unregenerate people to follow the moral laws won’t ever work. And that often will bring people into a path of legalism. It’s what happened to me, I was drilled with the laws before I understood the gospel, and that still wreaks havoc on me today when I struggle with not “doing enough” or doing it right. Remember that when you deliver the good news: don’t expect saved qualities from an unsaved person, give them reasons why you don’t think it’s good biblically, but then drill into them the love and freeing power of Christ. Don’t forget that. There needs to be a balance of judgement and reconciliation in your presentation of the gospel, otherwise it could be taken very wrong.
