Anger Management Class

Anger Management Class

Genre: dad!Chan, angst, fluff

Warnings: cheating, very vague mention of self harm, anger

Request: no

Character: Chan

Word Count: 4.1k

The picture burns uncomfortably in Sky's mind. The sixteen year old chews on her lower lip, drumming her fingers on the desktop as she glares at the back of her best friend's head, drilling lasers into her pretty hair.

She waits impatiently for the last ten minutes of the lesson to tick by. She's too hot, and she tugs at the tie around her neck, agitated as she pulls open the top buttons of her shirt. Anger bubbles up inside of her, and Sky breathes heavily, stirring the paper on her desk.

Discreetly, Sky pulls her phone out of her pocket and switches it on under the table. It unlocks onto the picture that feels like a punch to her stomach, and not for the first time does she wonder who the anonymous sender is. But she barely cares; the two laughing faces in the picture are as clear as day, as is their bare skin.

As soon as the bell rings, Sky scrapes her chair back and shoves her equipment into her bag. She slings it over her shoulder and completely ignores her friend's sweet smile as she turns around to face her.

"Sky! Fancy grabbing some ice cream?" The girl asks, her eyes crinkling up at her.

Sky clenches her jaw. "No. Thank you."

Confused, Ella stares at Sky. She's about to say something to her when Sky brushes past her and storms out of the classroom, the door slamming behind her.

Sky's heart thuds in her chest as she thunders down the stairs. She knows exactly where her boyfriend will be, and she bursts through the doors to the canteen as her veins continue to swim with anger.

He's in the back of the canteen, strewn like a sack of potatoes across a chair. His friends laugh as they lounge around him, the heady scent of smoke lingering around them and not for the first time does Sky wonder why on earth she agreed to date this guy.

Harry looks up as she approaches, and when he smiles at her, it's a genuine smile. It's a smile that mingles horribly with the image glued to the insides of her eyelids, constricting her breathing, and Sky shuts her eyes briefly as she tries to gather her thoughts.

"Sup, Sky?" Harry says. "You eating lunch with me?"

Sky reaches into her pocket for her phone. She tosses it onto the table, the picture glowing up at the intrigued boys.

Harry leans forward, removing his arm from the back of the seat. He frowns as he tries to make sense of the image; his eyes widen suddenly and he grabs the phone, bringing it closer to his eyes.

"Where did you get this?" Harry asks, looking up at Sky. "Who sent this to you?"

Scoffing, Sky leans forwards and snatches her phone back from his hand. She tucks it into her pocket. "Let me remind you of something," Sky says, folding her arms across her chest. She refuses to answer any of his panicked questions. "You asked me out. You begged me. For months. Literally fuck you, you two faced, ugly, son of a bitch."

"Hey, don't talk to him like that!"

Sky whirls around, incredulous as her eyes land on a sneering Ella. Sky's gaze darkens.

"Why? Should I talk to you like that instead?" Sky takes a step closer to the girl. "Fuck you, you two faced, ugly, son of a - "

The entire canteen falls silent when a crack echoes in the room; Sky freezes as her cheek rings with a stinging pain. It buzzes through her body and snaps something inside of her.

She can't help what happens next; in a fit of rage, her fist connects with Ella's jaw and the girl's head snaps back as she stumbles into a table.

"Oh shit," someone whistles just as Ella screams and charges at Sky.

She grabs at Sky's hair, pulling and tugging; Sky pushes her off only for Ella's hand to connect with her lip, her nail dragging across her skin. Ella is crying now, and Sky tries to push down the sudden bubble of laughter rising up inside of her. But it doesn't work, and she bursts into manic laughter, making the watchers around her giggle too.

"You're a bitch," Sky states in a matter of fact manner that makes Ella seethe. "Some kind of best friend you are … do you really have such shit luck with guys that you have to sleep with your best friend's boyfriend?"

A chorus of entertained "ooooh"'s circle around the canteen. Sky turns around, looking wild as she turns her burning eyes on her ex.

"And you? You couldn't have found a different hoe?"

Sky sticks a hand out as she sees Ella moving towards her out of the corner of her eye; her hand comes into contact with the clumsy punch Ella tried to throw at her.

"Fuck off," Sky scowls, shoving Ella away.

"Sky Bahng!"

The entire canteen falls silent again as Sky turns; the teacher on duty stands in the doorway of the canteen, taking in the scene infront of her. Knocked over tables, an unusually terrified looking Harry, Sky's wild hair and Ella panting heavily on the floor with a bloody nose.

"Come with me," the teacher says, sighing heavily. "Now."

Sky purses her lips. She grabs her bag from the floor before pointing at Harry. "I dump you. I don't like beggars and cheaters," then she turns to Ella. "I also dump you."

Can you dump a friend? Sky thinks. She shrugs, stepping over Ella as she follows the teacher out of the room.

***

Sky slumps in the chair in front of the headteacher's desk. Her hair is a cloud of askew chestnut locks, her eyebrows furrowed, her pupils dilated and her lower lip bust and swelling. Her knuckles have split and congealed blood nestles in between her fingers, rimming the edges of her fingernails.

She watches the headteacher moodily. The older man is reading through her written statement, comparing it with Ella's paragraph of lies.

Bored, Sky examines her nails. She frowns, trying to pick the dry blood out from under her nails.

"Sky," the headteacher begins with a sigh. He leans back in his seat, his hands going to rest behind his greying hair. "Your behaviour is not tolerated in this school. You're a grown kid … what were you thinking? "

"My boyfriend slept with my best friend," Sky says simply.

The headteacher pauses. He looks as if he's about to sympathise before he thinks better of it.

"Even so," he says. "That's never a reason to hit someone."

"She hit me first," Sky retorts. "Is she going to be suspended too?"

"Well, she's injured enough so I don't think that's necessary."

Sky barks out a humourless laugh. "Really? I'm getting suspended and she's not? When she started it? What I did was self defence."

"Sky, don't argue with me," The headteacher drops his face into his hands. "There's no proof to say she hit you first. And honestly, with your past record of reckless behaviour … "

Sky clicks her tongue. She wishes Mrs Beaucanon was here. She'd understand. But of course, she had to go on maternity leave.

"Is my dad coming?" Sky asks.

"He's already outside waiting," the headteacher responds. "But Sky - "

"But Sky nothing," Sky scowls as she pushes her chair back, standing up. "Some school this is. The head is forever picking sides and ignoring the actual shit that goes on. You can keep preaching about how this is one of the best schools in the country, but we all know that's a fucking lie."

She ignores the deep inhale from the aghast man, and she storms out of his office and towards the school's main reception.

For some reason, as soon as she sees her father's matching furrowed eyebrows, she has the urge to cry. But she doesn't, and instead she grits her teeth as her father opens the car door for her wordlessly.

She slides into the passenger seat and Chan closes the door gently before walking around to the driver's seat. Once he gets in and starts the car, he doesn't say anything, just drives off in silence.

It's been a few minutes; the muscle in Chan's jaw jumps every so often but other than that he seems outwardly calm. Sky stares out of the window, a hand resting on her chin as the trees outside pass in a blur.

"I'm sorry dad," she whispers suddenly. She shuts her eyes, squeezing them tightly as she inwardly curses at herself.

She always acts before she thinks. It's something she's struggled with for years. And every time, she regrets it; she knows it upsets her parents, and she hates upsetting them more than anything.

Chan smiles softly. His fingers drum lightly on the steering wheel before he turns down another road. His voice is gentle when he speaks, making tears prickle at the back of Sky's eyes. "Are you going to tell me what happened?"

Sky looks at him. "Didn't the head tell you?"

"He did," Chan nods. "But I want to hear your side of the story."

Sky smiles as she looks out of the window again. He's probably mad at her, and yet, he's still as fair and patient as ever.

"I got a message from a random number," Sky begins. "While I was in class. It was a picture from the party last weekend."

"The one you didn't want to go to?" Chan asks.

"Right. That one."

Chan nods. "What was the picture?"

Sky wrinkles her nose, her stomach somersaulting all over again. "Ella and Harry. Kissing. Naked."

Chan is quiet. He doesn't say anything, but his fingers tighten on the steering wheel.

"So I confronted Harry about it," Sky continues. "Maybe I called him an ugly son of a bitch."

"Ky … "

"I know, I know," Sky mumbles. "But I can't help it when I'm angry."

Chan smiles knowingly. "I know. What happened then?"

"Ella was there. She got mad I called him ugly so … so I … called her an ugly son of a bitch too … "

Chan struggles to keep his laughter in. "Ky."

"And then she slapped me. So I punched her back. And then she grabbed my hair and I pushed her and she flew."

Sighing softly, Chan brings the car to a brief pause as the lights glow red. He looks over at his daughter, smiling sadly.

"Look at you," he murmurs, reaching out and gently caressing her injured hand. "Out of all the traits I could have given you, I had to give you my anger, huh?"

"It's not your fault dad."

"It is," Chan shrugs. "Maybe I didn't raise you as well as I should have."

"Dad," Sky is appalled, and she turns in her seat to fully face her father. She takes in his worrisome but loving expression, painted red with the car lights in front. "Don't say that. You're the best dad I could have ever asked for."

Chan smiles, scrunching his nose up as he starts driving again. "Hmm."

"It's true. This isn't on you, this is on me. You know I struggle to think before I act," Sky says sheepishly. "I'll be better dad. I promise."

"I know," Chan gently cups her cheek. "It's okay baby."

Sky leans into his touch briefly before he removes his hand, replacing it on the steering wheel. It grows quiet again and Sky shuts her eyes briefly. Her head is pounding, and she aftermath of her small injuries causes delayed pain to lance through her mouth and her arm.

"Are you angry I got suspended?" Sky asks, opening her eyes again.

Chan checks the rear view mirror and shakes his head. "No. You acted in self defence, right? And … I mean … technically you didn't do anything wrong … "

Sky giggles, and Chan chuckles along with her. "Dad you're bad."

"I thought you just said I was the best?"

They laugh again, and Chan reaches out, patting the girl's knee. "Just don't let it happen again, okay? No matter how angry you are, violence is never the answer."

Sky smiles. She was waiting for her father's life lessons. "I know."

"Are you feeling okay?" Chan asks then, his voice growing softer. "You know … with what happened with Ella and that little bast - "

"Dad," Sky laughs, cutting her father off. She's wistful as she looks out of the window; Chan never did approve of Harry, and deep down, Sky didn't really like him either. But she was sick of all her friends being in relationships and sharing relatable experiences without her … now she realises how foolish she was. "To be honest … I'm glad it happened."

Chan raises an eyebrow. "You are?"

"Yeah," Sky says slowly, wondering how to put her thoughts into words. "I … I think I know why he cheated as well."

Chan looks at her with a silent question.

Sky shrugs. "I wouldn't let him kiss me or touch me. So he probably looked somewhere else for what I wasn't giving him."

Turning around another road, Chan nods slowly as he considers his daughter's thoughts. "It's possible."

Then, curious, Chan looks at his daughter with a smile. "You never kissed him?"

Sky wrinkles her nose in distaste. "Why would I share my saliva with someone I don't love?"

Chan snorts, bursting into amused laughter as he comes to another stop. He reaches out and pats the girl's head. "That's my girl."

"I don't think I'm going to date anyone else," Sky continues, exhaling with satisfaction. "Not for a while anyway. I don't think there's a point in it. And also … I think it's going to take me a good while to find someone who treats me the way you treat mama."

Chan giggles, his nose turning red. "What?"

"I told you this last time," Sky grins. "You and mama are so cringey but you both love each other more than anyone else I've ever seen … and I want that one day."

His heart warm, Chan can't help but reach out and caress the girl's hair again. "And you will have that, one day. When the time is right, it'll come to you."

Sky nods happily, grinning up at her father. His gaze flits down to her hand again, and he suddenly grimaces.

"Do your fingers hurt?" He asks. "Looks like you gave her quite a hefty punch, huh?"

Sky holds her hand out and tries to wriggle her fingers. It doesn't really work and she's sheepish when she says so to her father.

"Hmm let me see if I have something in here," checking to make sure he's not in a busy place on the road, Chan leans over and opens up the glove compartment. He finds a cold can of coke and pulls it out before handing it to the girl. "Here. Hold this against your fingers and it should help the swelling a bit."

Sky does as she's told. She rests her fingers against the metal and shivers at how cold it is, making her father laugh.

"Fancy grabbing something to eat?" Chan asks suddenly.

Sky adopts a mischievous expression. "Dessert too?"

"Sure. Dessert too," Chan chuckles just as his stomach rumbles. He clutches his stomach with an embarrassed expression spreading across his face. "That wasn't me."

"It was."

"Wasn't."

Giggling, Sky leans back against her seat. She steals a glance at her smiling father, and is suddenly overcome with a rush of affection for him.

"Dad?"

"Hmm?"

"I love you."

The man laughs, rubbing the nape of his neck. "Where did that come from?"

"Just felt like telling you," Sky says.

Chan smiles, and he quickly squishes her cheeks with a single hand before making his way down another road. "I love you too, Ky-Ky."

His stomach rumbles again, making Sky burst into high pitched giggles.

Chan sighs. "How do burgers sound?"

"Burgers sound good."

"Okay."

A short while later, Chan parks in the car park of one of their favourite food places. Sky makes to open the car door but Chan places a hand on her arm.

"Wait," he says, and he opens up the glove compartment again.

Curious, Sky watches as he fishes out a little black pouch. The man unzips it and pulls out a few little packets, followed by a tube and a fluffy white roll.

"Hand," Chan holds his hand out, and Sky places her injured hand in his. She smiles as Chan rips open the antiseptic wipe packet, and gently dabs at her split knuckles.

Sky inhales. She pretends it doesn't sting by clearing her throat, plastering a fierce smile on her face.

Chan laughs, and he gently blows on her hand. He's suddenly reminded of a distant memory; a dark classroom, his future wife's arm on his desk as he tends to her ghastly wounds.

Chan smiles softly. He must be smiling harder than he thought, because Sky cocks her head at him.

"Why are you smiling, dad?" Sky asks.

Chan chuckles. "Just remembering something."

"What?"

Shoving the used wipe back into the packet so it doesn't soak his seats, Chan unscrews his tube of cream. "You know your mother used to … have a tough time, right?"

Sky nods, eyes softening.

"There was a time in school when I bandaged her arm … I told Noey about it a while ago. But I just suddenly thought of it because I'm bandaging your hand … strange that I'm doing the same to you, huh?"

Sky smiles, watching as her father wraps the bandage carefully around her knuckles. "Oh how history repeats itself," she declares dramatically.

Chan chuckles. "Well, not quite the same, thankfully." The man sticks the bandage into place with a little plaster before kissing her fingers and then leaning forward to plant a soft kiss on her forhead. He runs his fingers through her hair, trying to smooth it over before his eyes come to her bust lip. He winces. "Now, what do I do with this?"

Sky giggles. "My lip is fine dad."

"Are you sure? It looks painful," Chan sighs, and he reaches for the cream. "Here, let me put some of this on."

Sky lets him dab the cream onto the little wound, his finger delicate as always; she barely feels anything, and she smiles happily when he moves away again, screwing the lid onto the tube.

"Come on then," Chan smiles. "Food time."

They order their burgers and sit at their favourite table by the window. It's beginning to grow dark outside already, the cold season casting a damper on the earth. Heavy clouds swarm across the sky, rain starting to softly patter down the windows like liquid crystal. It only amplifies the cosiness of the warm interior, the golden lights reflecting on the rain and casting dark shadows across the table.

"I thought we could get ice cream after this," Chan groans as he stares at the rain. He leans back against his seat, stretching his arms above his head. "Maybe not. Wouldn't want you catching a cold."

Sky giggles. "When was the last time I caught a cold after eating ice cream in the rain?"

Chan opens his mouth. He closes it again. "You're right."

Chuckling, the two of them smile at each other. "What about those hot brownies?" Sky suggests. "You know the ones uncle Felix brought us the other day?"

Chan's eyes widen in remembrance. "The ones with the ice cream?"

Sky nods.

"Sold," Chan says, and Sky laughs as love hearts explode in the pupils of Chan's eyes.

Their food arrives a few moments later, and the two of them immediately attack their plates; they're both ravenous, and they mirror each other's sounds of joy as they take large bites of their burgers.

They fall into an amicable silence as they continue to eat their food, until a question pops into Sky's mind.

"Dad?"

"Yes, baby?"

"When you were my age, how did you deal with anger?"

Chan sets his burger down on his plate. "How did I deal with anger?" He repeats the question to himself as he leans back in his seat, thinking.

Then he chuckles. "I didn't deal with it very well."

"Really?" Sky asks, eyebrows shooting up her forehead.

"Really," Chan nods and leans forward again, picking up his burger. "I struggled a lot. I think we're the same, in that aspect."

Sky giggles.

"I think … the first thing you need to remember is that anger isn't bad in itself," Chan continues, shovelling a fry into his mouth. "It's an emotion, and you're allowed to feel it, you know?"

Sky nods quietly, the way she always does when her father is about to impose some of his wisdom on her.

"But it's important that you don't let that anger control you," Chan says. He smiles knowingly. "Don't take it out on someone, no matter how angry you might be. Sometimes the best thing you can do is stay quiet until you're much calmer."

Sky flushes beet red. "I always make a scene when I'm angry."

Chan chuckles. "I know. Next time you feel angry, try your best to stay quiet okay? It's hard … but after a while it'll get easier and easier."

Sky nods determinedly. "I'll try."

"I think another thing you could try is tire yourself out," Chan suggests. Then he corrects himself, laughing, "not crazy tired. But enough so that you don't have the energy to be angry."

Sky furrows her brows. She giggles to herself ... she feels like she's in some sort of anger management class. "How do I do that?"

"When I was in school I played a lot of sports," Chan says. "On those days I always found I was more tired and all the pent up stress and anger had disappeared."

"I don't want to play football," Sky scowls, making her father laugh.

"You don't have to," Chan says. "Dancing is an option, going for a run … "

Sky stares at her father.

Chuckling, Chan wracks his brains. "What about boxing? I used to box a lot … that really helped."

Interested now, Sky raises her brows. "Boxing?"

"Yeah," Chan nods. "You can punch things but safely. Without hurting anyone."

Sky giggles, and she covers her face, embarrassed when her father gives her a pointed look.

"Boxing sounds fun," Sky muses.

"How long are you suspended for?"

"A week," Sky replies.

Chan takes another bite of his burger. "I could sign you up for lessons … I have a friend who runs a boxing club. You could start this week, if you wanted to. It might help your overall mood, and get rid of your excess energy."

"Wait," Sky waves a fry at her father. "You have a friend who runs a boxing club?"

Chan shrugs. "Yes."

"How do you know everyone?" Sky asks incredulously. Then she giggles. "Do you by any chance know ... Bryson Tiller?"

Chan chokes on his water. It dribbles down his chin as he stares at his daughter, aghast. "Bryson Tiller? You like Bryson Tiller? Since when?"

Sky giggles, looking innocent. "Why, shouldn't I?"

Chan isn't sure how to respond. "I don't know, should you?"

"Answer the question, dad," Sky laughs cheekily. "Do you know him?"

Chan rubs the nape of his neck. "I know a mutual friend."

"Are you joking?"

"Nope."

Sky leans back in her seat and narrows her eyes at her father. "Are you some sort of spy? Or like … were you in the Mafia?"

"No!" Chan laughs, dabbing at his face with a napkin. "Who do you think I am?"

"I have no idea," Sky says slowly, making him laugh again. "Also, mama shared the playlists you made for her years ago with me like ... last week. That's how I know who he is."

At that, Chan flushes bright red. "She did what?"

Chan makes a mental note to have a pointed conversation with his wife later. He's not sure he's completely thrilled by the idea of her sharing the many sex songs he added to the playlists for her.

Sky giggles as if she knows what he's thinking. "Dad is naughty."

Chan groans. He drops his face into his hands. "How did we even get here?"

Sky shrugs, clearly satisfied as she sips her strawberry milkshake.

"I'll sign you up tomorrow," Chan says, clearing his throat. He's suddenly too hot, and he has the urge to go home to his wife.

"For the boxing?"

"Yeah."

"Okay. I thought you meant to see Bryson."

Chan points at Sky's plate, mildly exasperated as she bursts into laughter all over again. "Finish your food."

Quiet Tickles

I remember once in college I had a date of mine sleep over my dorm room.  As we were cuddling in bed late at night, I snuck my hand under her shirt and lightly tickled her tummy, her most ticklish spot.  My other arm was wrapped around her, keeping her trapped against me and on her side, laying in the bed silently squirming and giggling.

As I could hear her becoming more vocal, I whispered into her ear:

“You have to keep quiet or else you’ll wake up my roommate.”

And so she stayed in place, silently giggling as I teased her tummy, up and down her side, and inside of her belly button.

Moments where everyone has to stay quiet is the best time to tickle a trapped lee.  You either laugh loudly, waking everyone up and embarrassing yourself.  Alternatively, you could lay there and be tickled for what feels like an eternity, trying your best to keep your laughter in but also struggling to escape.

So which will you choose?

Soft Channie

Just some soft bf Bang Chan prompts. 🥹

Soft Channie
Soft Channie

• Soft Channie's love language is physical touch. Rather if it's holding your hand in public places, randomly hugging you from behind, or cuddling in bed. He always feels at peace when his body is touching yours. You've always been curious about his clinginess. Is it just his love language or does it stem from something? You've never questioned him directly, though.

• Soft Channie is always there to listen to you. He's made it very clear in the beginning of y'all's relationship that if you needed to talk, he would be there. He adores listening to you talk about anything. Your hobbies, things about work, or just babbling about this and that.

• Soft Channie who will do everything in his power to make sure that you're always okay. If he notices that you're feeling down, he'll have no problem making a fool of himself, just to make you laugh. (We all know that this is true, that man has done so much goofy shit on camera). If you were sick or dealing with menstrual pains, he would buy you medicine and nurse you back to health.

• Soft Channie's hoodies are basically yours. He's accepted it a long time ago. His heart melts when he sees you drowning in his hoodies, the sleeves being way too long. You love when his sweet scent lingers on his hoodies. You would wear his hoodies when he was away, feeling less lonely if his scent was on the hoodie.

• Soft Channie loves nothing more than to spend time with you. He'll always make plans for y'all to go out, he especially enjoys seeing what pretty dress you would pick out for date night. He loves seeing your excitement at amusement parks. He loves seeing your curiosity while being on road trips, exploring new places.

• Soft Channie who gets jealous and defensive if he sees another man staring at you for a few seconds too long. Even though Chan has many attractive Women coming at him on a daily basis, he's still wants your love and your love only. He still gets nervous around you, despite being with him for years now. It's like you have this spell on him. Chan is in denial about being a bit overprotective, his intentions are good. He just wants to protect you, and he will.

An: So this is my first time writing fluff. I’m trying to chill on the smut and focus on other genres. I hope this is good, uh...yeah that’s it.

Plot~ you and Chan have been dating for a year now but you guys have kept ur relationship private until Chan did the unexpected

_________________________________________________

You were laying down on your bed while on your phone, when you suddenly hear Chan start a live. So you decide to stay quiet not wanting people to hear you in the background. About 30 minutes go by and you realize you have to start on dinner, so you get up and head to the kitchen and begin to cook but you remain as quiet as possible.

You finish up with dinner and decide to tell Chan. But as you get closer to his office you realize he is still on live. So you stand at the door and mouth “foods ready” Chan turn to look at you and smiles “hey guys I want you to meet someone” he says out of nowhere. Your eyes widen as you shake your head at Chan “come here” say Chan as he reaches his arms out, you give in and walk up to him and kneel down since he’s sitting on his chair “hii” you say as you wave to the camera. The comments are full of “is this your girlfriend?” “Omg she’s so pretty” “new ship?” These weren’t the reactions you and Chan expected.

“this is my girlfriend and we’ve been dating for a year now and I thought it was time I made our relationship public” he says as he pulls you onto his lap. You look at Chan and smile, in return he look at you and places a kiss on your forehead. “Awww stop new favorite couple” “take her to concerts she looks so sweet” “the couple we didn’t know we needed” was all you would see in the comments and you were happy that Chan finally made it public and you didn’t have to hide your relationship anymore.

fully prepared for it to go horrible, but then again, sky is sky😂

𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐝 𝐄𝐠𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐓𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭

☆ Genre: Domestic, fluff, slight crack

☆ Warnings: None

☆ Request: No

☆ Characters: Chan, Y/N, Sky, Noah

☆ Word Count: 1.6k

It was a quiet three in the morning, and Sky had become the very depiction of a tiny mountain in her bed. Her quilt was wrapped around her body in a sage green cloud, and her round face was illuminated by the light of her laptop. She had been scrolling for hours, unable to sleep due to the slightly uncontrolled chaos of her mind, and the teenager had suddenly hyper fixated on the idea of cutting her own fringe.

She was convinced it really couldn't be that hard … Sky had seen her mother cut her own hair flawlessly many times before with the effortless flick of her wrist. Not to mention, she had always cut Sky's hair for her too … Sky was sure by now she was an expert in the intricacies of cutting hair; how to layer, how to remove weight, how to frame her face.

And of course, the videos she was watching were helping too. Sky was ninety-nine point nine percent sure she would be able to cut her own fringe and make it look absolutely perfect.

Besides, if everything did seem to take a turn for the worse … at the end of the day it was just hair.

It would grow back.

And even if it didn't … well, she could always hide it with her father's substantial hat collection.

Snapping her laptop closed as her decision solidified itself within her brain, Sky swung her legs off of her bed. She shuffled into her fluffy slippers, and after grabbing a pair of scissors from her top drawer, the fourteen year old padded to her bathroom and snapped the lights on.

Sky stared at herself in the mirror with blank eyes. Then she stared at the time blinking up at her from the screen on her phone. She pursed her lips.

Shrugging, Sky removed the hair tie from her hair; watching her hair swish around her face, Sky suddenly felt a wave of adrenaline surge through her. She shook her head in mild bewilderment aimed at herself … she had a vague feeling that large, life altering decisions seemed to occur in the depths of night.

Brushing through her dark hair, Sky examined the state of her locks. Her fringe had long grown out; the pieces now rested at the sides of her jaw, and she carefully picked out the strands. She then brushed the rest of the hair back, tying it up again. She didn't particularly want to risk cutting into the wrong section of hair.

Frowning at the amount of hair she had clutched in her fist, Sky decided to add in more from the rest of her hair; she was rather in the mood for a fuller fringe than her usual wispy style.

Using the end of her comb again, Sky parted the hair down the middle. She then drew two lines to the centre of her eyebrows, creating a triangular shape at the front of her head.

"This better work," Sky murmured to herself as she brushed through the front of her hair. "Otherwise I'm going bald. Egg. Bald."

She used her index and middle fingers as guides and slid them through her fringe pieces; stopping just at the bridge of her nose, Sky twisted the hair once like the videos told her to do. She liked having longer pieces at the sides of her fringe.

Then, slipping her other fingers into her scissors, Sky lifted them up. Taking a deep breath, she lined them up just before her fingers, and began to cut across.

"Well," Sky snorted. "No going back now, Ky Ky. You may want to start planning your funeral."

Her hair fell into the sink in clumps, and once she had stopped cutting, Sky placed her scissors down as she peered into her mirror, a little uneasy.

The girl's mouth fell open as she used her fingers to adjust the strands.

"I am a fucking genius," Sky grinned to herself as she untied the rest of her hair. Rifling her fingers through her hair, Sky suppressed the satisfied giggle that was threatening to spill out of her mouth.

She cut off the bits of stray pieces at the ends of her fringe before throwing the hair into the bin; she then stared at herself a little more and now that she'd cut her fringe, she suddenly had the urge to cut the rest of her hair.

At a little past half three, Sky finally set her scissors down. She rifled her fingers through her new haircut and scooped it back into a ponytail before clearing up the small mess she'd made. Deciding she'd wash and style her hair properly in the morning, Sky dived into her bed, utterly satisfied. Now that she had fulfilled her impulsive urges, peace washed over her and she fell into a deep sleep immediately.

"Have some more," Chan said, pushing his plate towards his wife.

Y/N sighed as she stabbed her fork into a raspberry. "I'm full."

"Have some more anyway."

"What part of 'I'm full' do you not understand?" Y/N grumbled, chewing the raspberry.

Chan started to chuckle as he cut into the last piece of his French toast. "I like watching you eat."

"Well, watch me eat later," Y/N grinned, leaning back against the wall. "I genuinely cannot, and will not eat anymore."

Cutting a piece of his toast, Chan waved it in front of his wife with a cheeky smile on his face. Y/N folded her arms across her chest in defiance, but she couldn't stop the smile that curved across her lips as the man started to behave in a goofier manner.

"Oh no, look it's going to fall … " Chan dramatically lowered the fork. "Oh it's going to ruin my clothes. It's going to - "

Y/N leaned forward and clamped her mouth around the fork. "I hate you," she garbled around the mouthful, just as Chan burst into satisfied laughter.

"I love you too, baby," Chan happily forked his breakfast into his mouth.

"I'm gonna make some tea," Y/N said once she had swallowed the toast. She pushed her stool back and slid her arms around the man's shoulder, gently kissing Chan's cheek before moving towards the kitchen counters. "Want some?"

Chan nodded as he sipped the water from his glass. His other hand came up from the table and he flashed a thumbs up, making Y/N snort with quiet laughter as she flicked the switch of the kettle.

"Who made French toast?" Sky yawned loudly as she clattered down the stairs. Her socked feet skidded across the floor with a shuffling sound, and both Chan and Y/N grinned at the sound as they turned their heads to greet their daughter.

The couple both stared at their daughter in quiet surprise as their eyes landed on her. Sky, completely oblivious, hopped up onto the stool beside her father and reached for his glass of water.

It was when she got through half of it did she realise their attention. She set the glass down. " … What?"

"Ky, your hair," Y/N clasped her hands together as she ran her gaze over Sky's fringe. "You cut yourself a fringe?"

Chan peered at his daughter. "No, I don't think so. I think her eyebrows grew overnight."

"Maybe I stole yours in your sleep," Sky countered, making her father chuckle. "I did cut a fringe. And I trimmed the rest too … see?"

"I can't see," Chan huffed. He hooked his fingers into the base of Sky's stool and dragged her over to him. Draping an arm around her shoulders, Chan playfully slipped his hand into her hair and immediately ruffled it up until it sat in a messy heap over her head. "Much better."

"Dad," Sky groaned, reaching up to smooth her hair out again. She grinned then, her eyes crinkling from in between the strands of her hair. "Do you like it?"

"You look beautiful," Y/N replied just as Chan nodded in approval. She set a mug down in front of her husband and then ran her fingers through her daughter's hair, smiling fondly as she dropped a kiss onto the top of her head. "You did such a great job!"

"Thanks mama," Sky squeezed the woman around her waist. "You always make it look so easy when you do it … so I wanted to try."

At that, Y/N patted her daughter's head. "Well, you definitely make it look easy too. It suits you!"

Chan cocked his head to the side. "Weren't you supposed to be asleep?"

"Late night breakdown?" Sky replied.

"Ah," Chan nodded as he scooped the last of his breakfast into his mouth. "I have definitely had my fair share of those."

Y/N giggled. "Fair share? You have one every night."

"Don't bait me out in front of the child," Chan waved his fork around in a pointed manner. "I'll have you know, I sleep soundly every night."

Just then, Noah walked into the room. He stared at his father with tired eyes. "I have no idea what any of you are talking about, but the last five words sounded like the biggest lie."

He cocked his head to the side at his sister as his family burst into laughter. "Nice hair."

"Can't say the same about yours," Sky joked. "It looks like a clown wig."

"Ha-ha," Noah drawled as he headed towards the espresso machine. He leaned on the side of the counter as he squinted through his own fringe. "Seriously. It suits you."

"Thanks," Sky smiled widely. "Want me to cut yours?"

"Hell no," Noah was quick to say as he turned around again.

Chan smiled at their children's conversation. He patted Sky's arm. "Breakdown. Everything okay?"

"Oh, yeah, don't worry," Sky reassured him just as Y/N placed a plate of French toast in front of her. "Not that kind of a breakdown. I just couldn't sleep. And I was bored."

Chan giggled. "Sounds like your mother."

"Hey," Y/N laughed. "Now who's baiting me out?"

Thursday nights in the Bahng household were reserved specifically for family movie nights. It was the one night in the week they all looked forward to (even if Sky complained about how corny the whole situation was), and they prepared well for it every time; a large plethora of snacks, the softest of blankets, and the perfect lighting in their room. Not too dark, not too bright - a middle ground that kept them all happy.

Every week, they took turns to choose the movie they wanted to watch. Naturally, this often ended in disaster; with Sky's love for horror, and Noah's love for crime, it seemed to Chan that he could never catch a break. Not that he'd ever complain - even if he did feel as though his blood was running cold more often than not, he didn't mind. He found that being in the company of his family acted as a buffer; he was just happy to be there, and he enjoyed seeing the happiness on his family's face.

This week, however, it was Chan's turn to choose a movie. He scrolled aimlessly through his Netflix account, a growing smirk on his face catching the attention of his daughter.

"Oh no," the thirteen year old shook her head as she pulled a large bowl of popcorn to herself. She had already dug her way through a quarter of it; Y/N knew she would have to get up in approximately ten minutes to make her a new batch.

"I know that look," Sky continued. "We're doomed … we're going to be subjected to the sappiest of sappy movies."

Chan chuckled as he continued to scroll with the TV remote. "You know me so well, Little Cloud."

"Lord give me strength," Sky muttered, making her parents both crack up with laughter.

The four of them were huddled up on the same sofa; it was a large sofa, giving them plenty of room for them to sit alone. However that didn't stop Chan from sitting half on top of his wife, his legs wrapped around her as though they were seatbelts, preventing her from leaving.

"I don't know," Noah chimed in. He was scrolling through his phone, pretending to not pay attention. "I love a good romance movie."

"That's my boy," Chan grinned. He reached his long arms out to playfully tickle Noah's neck, and the boy groaned as he shuffled out of the way. It only made his father move closer to him, and he gave up with a sigh, a smile spreading across his face.

"Can't we watch a horror movie?" Sky grumbled.

Y/N smiled. "Baby we watched a horror movie last week. Let your father watch the sappiness that he wants to watch."

Sky looked at her father. His eyes were sparkling as he scrolled through the movies, and his large nose was glowing coral in the room's warm lightning.

She smiled, curling her knees up to her chest. "Okay."

"What about this one?" Chan stopped at a movie; he mumbled the description to himself as his face broke into a smile. "This sounds fun … what do you think?"

"Whatever you want baby," Y/N dropped her head onto his shoulder. She reached for his hand under the blanket they were sharing, and only she noticed the flush creeping up his neck and the extraordinary heat radiating off of him at the movement.

Once Noah and Sky had agreed, Chan played the movie. He tossed the remote away; it bounced off of the armrest and disappeared onto the floor, making his children giggle.

He instantly regretted it a moment later when a rather explicit scene flashed across the screen. All four pairs of eyes widened before different reactions escaped them; Sky screamed, Noah grabbed a cushion to slam across his face, and Y/N burst into giggles just as her husband dived onto the floor.

They were barely five minutes into the movie, and chaos had already ensued. Chan scrabbled around on all fours as he hastily hunted for the remote, the lewd sounds from the TV being the backbone to the shrieking taking place in the room. Tears of embarrassment formed in Chan's eyes as tears of laughter formed in Y/N's, and when Chan suddenly spotted the remote under the sofa, he lunged for it, hitting his head on the small coffee table in the process.

"Dad!" Noah yelped, jumping at the sound of his father's head connecting with the wood.

Sky's round eyes widened further until they began to look like moderate sized plates.

"Ow," Chan sobbed, whirling around to press pause on the TV. He had stopped at a very inconvenient scene; what he assumed was the female lead seemed to be caught up in a very non-family friendly act, one that caused Noah to slide down the sofa in defeat. He reached for his phone and stared at its screen instead, slowly thumbing out the already disastrous events of the night to his friends.

Chan backed out of the movie. He threw the remote again and face planted into the seat of the sofa, an agitated scream leaving his mouth. His shoulders shook as he laughed silently, and Y/N pressed her lips together to stop herself from laughing like a goat as she reached out to pat his back.

"Why does this always happen to me … " Chan mumbled into the sofa. "Why me?"

"Daddy, you're bad at choosing movies," Sky declared. Her popcorn was already finished; she pushed the empty bowl away and grabbed the remote instead, a devilish look in her eyes. "My turn."

"Go ahead," Chan groaned as he climbed back onto the sofa. He fell into his wife's arms, his face resembling that of a sundried tomato as he buried it into the crook of her neck.

Y/N grinned as she hugged him. She leaned forward and whispered to him, making him choke.

"Maybe we should watch that later."

Chan thumped his chest, coughing aggressively. Completely oblivious to their mother's mischievous antics, Noah and Sky stared at their father.

"Dad … are you good?" Noah asked.

Chan whispered. "I'm good."

Sky snorted. "He's not good."

"I am good," Chan groaned, sitting up as he dropped his face into his hands. "Just … pick a movie, Ky."

And Sky did. She chose a horror movie, and almost a minute later, Chan let out a piercing scream; he hadn't expected a jumpscare to appear so early on in the movie, and his heart suddenly took off as though it was in a marathon.

The entire family burst into laughter all over again.

Chan meanwhile, burst into tears.

"Ky? Baby girl are you up?"

Chan leaned against the door of his fourteen year old daughter's bedroom. He listened for any sign of acknowledgement; he was sure he could hear her turn over, and he knew she was awake.

He smiled. She was just like him; neither of them had any intention of waking up in the morning. On the brink of consciousness, nothing seemed to matter to either of them apart from getting more sleep.

He knocked quietly against the door. "Can I come in, princess?"

A pause, and then, "Yeah."

Chan gently pushed the door open. Even though Sky was awake, Chan didn't want to disturb her. He was as quiet as possible as he padded into the room, shutting the door behind him.

It was dark inside the room; the blinds over the window blocked out any possible sliver of light, and Chan rubbed his eyes as his gaze adjusted to the darkness.

"Can I open the blinds a little, baby?" He asked.

"Mhm … "

Smiling, Chan opened the blinds just enough so that streams of daylight could spill through. It lightened the room considerably and Chan blinked hard before making his way to his daughter's bed. He sat down on the edge and reached out, his fingers combing away Sky's unruly hair.

"Can't get up today, huh?" Chan mused. "Did you sleep much?"

Sky shuffled around. She turned completely so she was facing her father, her eyes so much like his slitted into sleepy little moons.

"I did," she hummed. Then she frowned, wriggling further down into her duvet. "I … I don't want to go to school, daddy."

Chan raised his eyebrows. He cupped Sky's cheek and she automatically leaned closer to him, seeking the comfort of his warmth.

"Why not, baby? Are you sick?"

She shook her head. "Just don't want to go."

She suddenly avoided her father's gaze; she stared straight in front of her instead, and Chan frowned when he saw the way her eyebrows furrowed together.

He smiled softly. He had a feeling there was something she wasn't telling him.

Chan patted her shoulder and leaned down to kiss her cheek. "Okay. I'll tell your mother. You get some more rest … come out whenever you're ready, okay?"

Sky nodded. She kissed his hand and watched as her father got up to leave the room. He reached the door when he turned back and hastily closed the blinds again. With a cheeky grin, Chan turned to leave again, shutting the door quietly as he went.

Once Chan had left, Sky sat up in her bed. The bedsheets fell around her waist as she dropped her face into her hands, her shoulders sagging with her large exhale.

She kicked her bedsheets in frustration before sliding out of bed. Her backpack was strewn in the corner and she scowled as she made eye contact with it; it was as though she could see the hateful papers through the fabric, the harsh words scrawled on them burning like fire.

Once she had brushed her teeth, Sky trudged out of her bedroom. She made her way down the stairs and into the main room where her parents were sitting at the breakfast bar; their faces were glowing as the sunshine spilled through the French doors, and Sky couldn't help but sigh again.

She wondered if perhaps she should go back to bed. She didn't want to bother them … not when they looked so happy.

But Y/N spotted her over Chan's shoulder; her eyes lit up as her face broke into a smile, and Y/N beckoned her daughter over to them both.

"Good morning baby," Y/N immediately kissed Sky's cheek and hugged her tightly; it was nothing out of the ordinary - they always hugged every morning. But for some reason, the gesture made Sky's eyes prickle with tears, and she was unable to hide them as she pulled away.

Y/N's face bloomed into an expression of worry. "Sky? Darling, what's the matter?"

Her soft tones combined with the twinning worry in her father's eyes made her break. She burst into tears there and then, the weeks of pent-up frustration and hurt spilling out of her like a waterfall.

Alarmed, Y/N stole a glance at her husband. He looked equally as confused as she felt; the both of them moved so they could hug Sky together, their arms sliding around her as they held her close. Their hands patted her back, and Chan kissed his daughter's tears away, leaving her with bright red cheeks and wide eyes.

"I hate people," Sky whispered as soon as she had stopped crying. She rubbed her eyes in agitation, suddenly annoyed that she had burst into tears over something so stupid.

Even if it did hurt.

"Yeah, me too," Y/N muttered at that; Chan looked at her with an amused expression and she shrugged, throwing her hands up as an explanation. "Why do you hate people, Ky?"

Sky huffed. "They're mean."

Chan frowned at that. "Has someone been saying mean things to you, kiddo?"

"Maybe," Sky said slowly. "Well … it's complicated. It's not like they're saying it to my face."

"What do you mean, baby girl?"

Sky looked uneasy. She looked down at the fluffy frog slippers on her feet, their goofy expressions staring back at her.

Chan's face softened. He gently patted her cheek, his own cheek dumpling with a smile. "You know you can tell us anything, right?"

Sky nodded. "I know."

She sank down onto one of the stools at the counter. Folding her arms under her chin, Sky kicked her legs around in the air.

"People keep leaving notes in my locker," Sky said. "I don't know how many people … but there's different handwriting on them."

"What do the notes say, darling?" Y/N prompted her softly.

Sky looked down. She shrugged. "Loads of stuff. That I'm ugly, that I'm fat, that no one likes me … I didn't really care about them at first but I started getting so many. And then … and then people started saying horrible things about you two … "

Chan blinked. Y/N stared.

"About us?" She asked.

Sky nodded. "Stuff like you're terrible parents and you should have made me a better person or something."

"Okay," Chan said calmly; Sky looked at him and was suddenly taken aback. Fire seemed to burn in his eyes and it was a strange sight to see considering how his voice was still the same as always. "Who are these kids? I think I'm going to have to teach them a lesson … who do they think they are? How dare they call my precious princess fat and ugly?"

Y/N laid a calm hand on the man's shoulder, and he immediately piped down. Sky was sure she could almost hear a sizzle; the sort of sizzle that could be heard when water touches a flame, immediately putting it out.

She almost snorted with laughter. It was a comical sight.

"You're not fat, darling, and you're not ugly either," Y/N said to her daughter. "You're very beautiful. I bet you anything, those … people, who are leaving these notes for you are just jealous. I mean, come on … they're not even telling you to your face. They're hiding behind pieces of paper - they're cowards, darling, don't take any notice of them."

Sky smiled at that. "I try not to. But it's … hard."

"That it is," Chan suddenly said. He smiled wistfully, rubbing the nape of his neck. "I actually went through something similar a while ago."

Sky cocked her head to the side. "You did?"

Chan nodded. "Back when I was an idol."

Sky suddenly grinned. Her father seemed to have a life lesson tucked up his sleeve for everything her and her brother went through, and they were always linked to his old job. Sky secretly loved his stories more than anything; her father's stories always made her feel proud of her struggles. She loved her father more than anything … she was honoured to go through things similar to what he had, it made her feel as though she was more like him. And it made her feel like she wasn't alone.

"What happened?" She asked him.

She expected him to answer; but Y/N replied, and it was with a passion that took Sky by surprise.

"Your father was the nicest man out there," Y/N said, laying a hand on Chan's shoulder. "I mean, of course he still is. But back then he worked his butt off trying to help people and be there for them … he was understanding, and polite, and respectful, and no matter what anyone said to him, he was kind. He was always kind. He used to give everything to people online and around him … he did everything for everyone and people still sent him so much hate."

Chan flushed; he didn't think he'd ever get used to the way his wife spoke about him. He felt incredibly shy all of a sudden, and he distracted himself by reaching for her forgotten mug of tea.

Sky frowned. "But … why?"

"Because that's just how the world works," Y/N said in a gentler tone. "You can be the loveliest person to ever exist, and people will still find a reason to pick on you. You can be the most beautiful person and people will still find a way to call you ugly. Some people are just hurting and hate themselves so much that instead of fixing that part of them, they project their insecurities and their hatefulness on others."

Suddenly exasperated as she thought about the vile nature of the world, Y/N kneeled down infront of her daughter. She took both of Sky's hands in her own and looked up at her.

"Listen to me, my darling. You're a good person, aren't you?"

Sky nodded. "I try to be."

"Good girl. You know your own core values, and you know who you are as a person, right? You're a beautiful person, Sky … don't let other people who hide behind paper and screens tell you things about yourself. They don't know you, darling. They don't know anything about you, or us … they don't know anything. They're probably just very unhappy people who are jealous of how brightly you shine. Don't let people like that convince you you're someone you're not. Okay?"

Sky nodded, tearing up again as she looked at her mother. Y/N leaned up and kissed the girl's forehead, her hands going to cup her cheeks. "You mean the world to me and your father, and your brother. Don't forget that, okay?"

"Okay," Sky whispered, nodding as she sniffed aggressively. The sound made her father chuckle, and the man leaned across and kissed her cheek as he secretly blinked away tears that had begun to pool in his own eyes.

"What have you done with all those notes, baby?" Chan asked her.

Sky smiled sheepishly. "They're in my bag."

Tutting, Chan folded his arms across his chest. "I hope you weren't planning on keeping them."

Clocking the expression on his daughter's face, Chan sighed and shook his head. "Baby girl, if you keep them, you'll be tempted to read them again. If you read them again you're just going to overthink and you'll believe what they say, hmm? Just get rid of them … if you get anymore in your locker, don't even read them. Just throw them away. Those people don't deserve your attention … just throw it all away, okay?"

Suddenly giggling, Sky gave her parents a mischievous grin. "What if I film myself burning them and then post it on my socials? Then that way they'll know I don't care."

Chan couldn't help but chuckle at the idea. Y/N, on the other hand, shook her head.

"Yeah … maybe don't do that, darling," Y/N smiled. "Because if you do that, they might think you care too much by posting it."

"Maybe you're right," Sky slumped back into her seat again.

"Just throw them away baby," Chan grinned. Then he raised his eyebrows, looking at her curiously. "Is this why you didn't want to go to school?"

" … maybe."

Feeling dramatic all of a sudden, Chan leaned forward and scooped his daughter into his arms. He squeezed her tightly and dropped a flurry of kisses all over her head, making her giggle and kick out as she tried to escape his loving grip.

"My poor baby," Chan whined, rubbing his nose against her cheek; he knew exactly how much he was embarrassing her daughter, and he relished every single bit of it.

Sky sighed. She couldn't stop the smile that was growing on her face, nor could she untangle herself from his arms. He sagged into his embrace and let him cuddle the momentary sadness out of her.

You watch as Chan adds oil and garlic to the pan. “More garlic.” You judge.

“More garlic?” He raises his eyebrows. “I think it looks fine.”

“You always think it looks fine.” You jump up to sit on the counter. “And then it always needs more garlic. What are you, a vampire?”

Chan does fangs with his fingers, lunging at you. You squeak and lean back. He laughs, and you’re struck by how much you love him. The way he looks at the floor when he laughs, the way he runs his hands through his hair, the way he teases you. You love everything about him.

You never thought you’d be dating Chan. He’s so… he’s everything. Handsome, funny, so sweet and protective. You’d convinced him to bleach his hair not too long ago, and you hadn’t thought he could get any more attractive, but you’d been proven wrong.

He faces his own challenges, you know that. He struggles with self-love, but you’ve been there for him, encouraging him to be kind to himself and cut himself some slack. He puts so much pressure on himself to be perfect—the perfect leader, the perfect songwriter, the perfect boyfriend. And as much as you believe he’s perfect, you always tell him he doesn’t have to be—he just has to give his best and not push himself too hard.

That doesn’t make him safe from some teasing, though.

“You are a vampire! Vampire Chan who doesn’t know how to make pasta. It’s garlic pasta. That’s the recipe. The point is the garlic.” You say, leaning back towards him.

“Fine. More it is.” Chan pokes your arm as he turns around, grabbing another clove of garlic and starting to chop it into small pieces. He misses your self-satisfied smile.

The smell of garlic begins to fill the kitchen; you can’t tell if it’s from what’s currently cooking in the saucepan or what Chan’s cutting, but it’s lovely. “That smells delicious already.”

“Glad you like it, baby.” He scrapes the cutting board into the saucepan, and the sizzling sound gets louder as he begins to stir it with a wooden spatula.

You hop off the counter and step behind Chan, draping your arms around his waist and perching your face beside his arm, watching what he’s doing. He glances down at you, but in that glance, you catch something deeper.

He looks at you like you’re his world. He looks at you like he loves you in the way that you love him—wholly, unconditionally. The affectionate smile on his lips, in his eyes, lets you know that your love is not one-sided.

He stirs the sauce he’s making. “Can you get the heavy cream for me, my love?”

You press a kiss to his (remarkably buff) arm. “Sure.” You get it from the fridge, screw off the lid, and put it beside him on the counter.

“Thank you.” He picks it up, his attention on the saucepan as he pours it in, stirring as he does so.

“Looks delicious.”

“Think it’s got enough garlic now?” He’s still looking at the pan, but there’s a smile in his voice.

You nod. “I think it’s good now.”

“Wonderful. I live to make your perfect pasta.”

“You’re doing a great job.” You say, and then, softer, “I love you.”

“I love you too, baby.” Chan glances up for a moment to press a haphazard kiss to your face. It lands beside your eye, and you giggle.

Those words, that kiss—you’re his, completely.

And he’s yours.

Peaches

Genre: fluff, dad!Chan

Warnings: slightly suggestive, but barely

Request: no

Member: Chan

A/N: please reblog if you enjoyed this so others can find my work :]

Stretching her arms above her head, Y/N slips from her bed with a yawn. Her husband is nowhere in sight, but the heady scent of something sweet and fried seems to be wafting up into the bedroom. Curious, Y/N heads down the stairs, stepping into the kitchen with a smile when her gaze lands on her husband whistling off key. He whisks a pale mixture in a bowl and flips something sizzling in a pan.

"Good morning," Y/N grins, spotting her kids at the kitchen island, watching their father cook in fascination. She kisses each of their foreheads in turn before walking up to Chan. She wraps her arms around the man's shirtless back, her chin resting on one of his broad shoulders. "What's all this?"

Chan turns around in her arms with a bright smile, and he kisses her cheek softly before turning his attention back to his frying pan. "Good morning baby. The kids and I are making you brekkie."

"Really? The kids too?" Y/N asks, looking over at Noah who has his headphones hanging around his neck, a half read comic beside him. Sky is shovelling raspberries into her mouth by the handful next to her brother, and Y/N shakes her head fondly at her. "Sky darling, don't eat too many of those or you'll get a tummy ache."

The nine year old grins, her teeth stained with red. "Tummy aches are worth these beautiful creations."

In her arms, Chan's body shakes with silent laughter, and Y/N sighs, unable to keep the smile off her face. "Well, don’t say I didn't warn you kiddo."

Sky toasts her by raising a raspberry in her direction before quickly inhaling it. From next to her, Noah smiles and leans forward, his hand outstretched.

"Can I have one, Ky-Ky?" Noah asks, his curly hair tipping into his eyes as he cocks his head to the side.

Sky fishes a fat raspberry out of her bowl and places it into Noah's hand. "Eat it carefully. You have to savour the priceless flavour."

Noah nods seriously. "Will do."

From the stove, Chan chuckles. "Did your love for raspberries grow overnight, Sky? I'm pretty sure you didn't like them last week."

"Last week I was a fool and we don't talk about my past mistakes," Sky declares, making her family laugh. "We must focus on the present."

"Ah yes," Chan nods thoughtfully as he slides a thick slice of brioche into his bowl. "Such wise words have never been spoken before."

With a grin, Y/N heads to the other end of the kitchen and hunts around in the dishwasher for her favourite mug; black tinted glass with etchings of constellations created carefully by her doting husband. Then she flicks the switch of her kettle, craving her first tea of the day.

"What do you want with your French toast sweetheart?" Chan asks over his shoulder, his eyes sparkling under his curls, so very much like their son's. Y/N lets her eyes travel down his bare face and focuses on his light gold of his smooth skin, early morning sunshine from the floor to ceiling windows spilling on his toned back, his slim waist disappearing into the waistband of his low rise sweatpants. Her gaze sweeps over his large arms that pulse as reaches for different things, and she suddenly smirks, her eyes locking with Chan's.

Chan, of course, immediately knows her thoughts. Spluttering, the man grabs the nearest utensil which happens to be a large spatula and he brandishes it infront of his wife. "Don't even think about it. Behave."

Giggling, Y/N drops a tea bag into her mug. "I have no idea what you're talking about."

The man raises his eyebrows as he walks up to her, before leaning close and whispering in her ear. "Yeah? We'll see if you're still saying that when I have you tied up on the bed later."

Mouth falling open, Y/N kicks out at Chan's shin, making the man laugh despite his gasp at the sudden pain. He rubs the back of his leg as the couple giggle at each other, Sky's confused expression contrasting hilariously with Noah's slightly repulsed one. It only makes them both laugh even more.

"How rude," Chan whines, heading back to the stove. "Is that how you treat someone who's making you breakfast?"

Y/N smiles as she pours boiled water into her mug. "Ah, you're right. My bad. I should be commenting instead on how fine the peaches look today."

His face breaking into an exasperated smile, Chan looks up from the bowl and stares at the wall in front of him. His dimples flash as he can't control the grin, and Y/N walks past him, discreetly slapping him on the behind.

"Y/N, you're on thin ice," Chan breathes, leaning against the counter as he regains his composure. "Now, what do you want with your French Toast?"

"Peaches," Y/N replies simply, and Chan yells, suddenly rushing at his wife. The woman laughs as she runs away, ducking around the kitchen island where their children stare at them. Noah shakes his head despite the small smile twitching at the corners of his mouth, and he mutters something about 'lovesick fools need to get a room', while Sky blinks cluelessly, her empty raspberry bowl infront of her.

Y/N shrieks with laughter as Chan catches her, his muscular arms wrapping around her waist and pulling her towards him. She struggles against him and yells when the man starts kissing all over her face, his mock-evil laugh mingling with his wife's endless laughter.

"I told you to behave," Chan tickles his wife's stomach, making her giggle even more. "This is your punishment."

From the island, Sky tilts her head at her brother. "What are they doing? What's so funny?"

Noah smiles at that, and he passes over a new punnet of raspberries to the girl. "They're just doing whatever people in love do. People in love usually laugh at everything."

"That's gross," Sky sticks her tongue out. "They're gross."

Chuckling, Noah pats his sister's head. "Eat your berries."

Then he spots the steam rising from the pan left on the stove. Slapping his hand to his forehead, Noah calls over his shoulder to the wrestling couple. "Dad! Your toast is burning."

With a comical yelp, Chan kisses Y/N one last time before scrambling up off of the floor, his foot tripping over her leg. With another fit of giggles, Chan and Y/N head back to the counter and Chan hastily slides his French Toast onto his plate with a relieved sigh. "It's saved. Thanks Noey."

"Yeah, yeah," Noey waves a hand around, a cheeky smile spreading across his face. "Maybe save the peaches for later next time."

"Oh my gosh - " Chan stares at the boy in embarrassment just as Y/N starts wheezing over the rim of her mug. The three of them watch as Chan's cheeks start turning pink, as well as the upper half of his chest and he turns away, muttering as he plates up the rest of the French Toast.

With the clear of his throat, Chan soon hands out three plates of stacked toast, each garnished with maple syrup and icing sugar dusted on top like a soft smattering of snow. Different fruits sit on each plate, raspberries for Sky, strawberries for Noah, and for Y/N, a mixture of everything.

Looking down at her plate as Chan sits down next to her with his own huge plate, Y/N frowns. "You're missing something."

Chan cocks his head to the side and makes to get up. "Oh, do you want more syrup? I'll get - "

"No. You're missing the peaches."

Chan groans. He rubs the palms of his hands into his eyes before stretching to the counter behind him. Grasping the fruit bowl, he moves Y/N's French Toast out of the way and replaces it with the fruit.

"There," Chan giggles, patting his wife's hand. "Peaches."

Lee: Minho Lers: Soonie, Doongie, Dori Word Count: 399

Home

It felt so good to be back home, surrounded by his babies. Minho dumped his shoes and bag at the entrance to his home, flopping down tiredly on the floor. Soonie, Doongie and Dori purred their way over to their favorite person, Doongie calling out loudly. Minho cradled the three when they got to him, peppering kisses on their soft heads and noses.

He had missed them so much. He shut his eyes, simply listening to his babies purring in delight. They seemed to have missed him a lot too. Then Dori climbed on to his chest and Minho barely kept from jolting away. The kitten’s light paws tickling him as Dori crawled up, sniffing at his neck. Lino couldn’t hold back his giggles then. His neck was extremely sensitive and the way Dori’s whiskers dragged along his skin just tickled so bad.

He raised a gentle hand to Dori’s face, trying to shield his neck but then Soonie, ever the curious cat, joined Dori in his mission to whiff out the strange scent in the cat butler’s neck, even licking along the lines of his neck, Dori joining in soon after. Minho was a goner. Helpless bubbly laughter, escaped his lips, a wide smile etched on his face.

“Soohoohoonie-ah, Dohohori-ah, nohoho. Ihihit tihihickles~,” he whined out as if the cats could understand him. They did seem to realize however, that Minho was enjoying this and the two at his neck, purred even louder, the soft vibrations feeling like absolute torture to ticklish Lino. Giggling hysterically, he rolled away from the two…. right into doongie.

The cat jumped on his tummy, padding at the soft flesh and turning round and round in many circles that felt almost excruciating to Minho. “Nononono Doong doong-ahahahahaha, plehehehease.” The boy threw his head back, unable to stop squirming as Doongie turned a couple more circles before nestling comfortably on the warm spot he’d found.

Residual giggles lingered in the air as the ghost tickles still tingled the sensitive little kitten. Minho finally breathed a sigh of relief when his two other babies spared him and just curled up over his head protectively. He was still blushing, hair tousled and lightly panting when his mother walked in to call him for dinner. She cooed at the adorable sight, teasing a very shy Minho as she snapped a photo. She had missed her baby too.

pairing: bang chan x afab!reader

genre: fluff, suggestive

warning/s: mdni, mentions of insecurities

a/n: i had a stressful week and this was just sitting in my drafts. this is just a collection of random thoughts i had bcs i'm soft for chan♡

(i'll probably do this for every member eventually)

Chan is such a sweetheart. Expect to be hugged and pulled into his lap all the freaking time. He needs to have his hands on you somehow no matter where you are or what you're doing. Chan will give you a back hug and then pull you into him, burying his face in your hair. He loves skinship like that especially with people who bring him comfort like you do.

Chan is the type of boyfriend who will always ask if you're hungry, thirsty or cold and if you need anything at all he will stop what he was doing and get it for you. He always wants you to feel comfortable.

He is also very playful and will tease you all the time. I also feel like he is that type of boyfriend that will swoop you up and put you over his shoulders all the damn time especially while you're doing something just to get a rise out of you. He will laugh cutely as you trash around and yell at him to 'put you down or else' but you both know you're laughing too.

You become so close to his mother and sister, and you and Hannah team up to tease him together. Berry also adores you and always runs to you whenever you visit. Chan will playfully pout and sulk, saying that 'his family replaced him' but he is actually so thrilled that you get along.

He daydreams a lot about your future together, imagines you two getting married and starting a family and it makes him all giddy and giggly. Some things he's too shy to say to you directly so he puts them in songs that he writes for you.

Chan will watch every movie and listen to every song you recommend him. He wants to know what you like and why you like it so send him cute songs and tell him that they made you think of him.

Late night adventures. Driving around aimlessly as you listen to music, getting something to eat from a convenience store or a gas station. He pulls up somewhere secluded where you have the perfect view of the city. You eat, talk and look at the stars together. Kisses are shared, hands are roaming and pretty soon you end up in the backseat of the car.

Chan will take you out to dinner, bring you flowers, take you out to the arcade, to an ice cream date, to the beach, everywhere and anywhere, he just wants you to have fun together. But he will also enjoy a quiet night at home, while he works on his laptop and you're cuddled up to him reading a book.

He always puts you first, your needs above his so you have to scold him when he tells you he forgot to eat dinner. You bring him food to the studio and he's happy to see you but sad that he made you upset. You tell him you'll forgive him if he eats everything you brought him and he happily will.

Arguments with Chan would probably mostly happen when he's sleep deprived because he gets snappy then. His voice raises a little (not on purpose) but as soon as he sees tears forming in your eyes he will start apologizing. You tell him you need a few moments and obviously he does too, so he leaves to another room to cool off a little. When he comes back out, you two sit down and talk it out. You never want to go to bed angry or without resolving a fight.

No matter if you live together or you're sleeping over at each other's places you can forget about personal space. When you go to bed at night, Chan will cling onto you, he will pull you into him and hold you tight. Good luck on trying to move until the morning. Showers together because why wouldn't you wanna save water?

Absolute gentleman. Will open doors for you, move your chair, help you put your jacket on, you'll never have to carry anything heavy. He knows you can do it but he just wants to treat you like the queen you are and you better indulge him or he will sulk.

Sometimes, Chan feels insecure and nothing can make him feel better than your arms around him, his head on your chest as you gently tell him about everything you love and admire about him. He's used to always being alert and taking care of others so he'd love for you to take care of him sometimes like that, baby him a little, it lights his heart up.

Little moments when he's concentrated on something or lost in his own little world always make you gush at him and your camera is full of his cute moments, when he realizes you're filming him, he gets shy and you capture his sweet smile and cute giggles.

This man will also never give you room to doubt yourself. He will remind you every single day how much he loves you and respects you. How beautiful you are to him, every single part of you, every scar, stretchmark, anything you're insecure about he'll give extra kisses and caresses to that part of you just so you start loving yourself more.

Back hugs. Back hugs. BACK HUGS. FOREHEAD KISSES. HAND HOLDING. THIGH SQUEEZING.

Make him sleep please! He needs to rest and often pulls all-nighters but if you offer him cuddles he can't say no, he has to join you in bed.

You wear matching bracelets!🥺 And they're ones that you make by yourselves with cute colorful beads and maybe your initials and it's just so adorable!

Random cuteness agression moments where Chan can't contain all the love he has for you so he attacks you with kisses all over your face. You squeal and you both end up giggling and play-fighting. Will also tickle you every chance he gets. You're never safe from Chan the tickle monster. (He just loves touching you and loves seeing you laugh, deal with it.)

Okay but your mom will love him so much. He's the type of boyfriend that will treat your mom like his own. Anything she needs help with, he will help no questions asked. She's already calling him her son-in-law.

You need help fixing something around the house? Chan is your man. Just imagine those arms of his as he's working on something, wearing just a tanktop. (😩)

You can talk to him about anything really, he loves to listen to you ramble about your friends or work, sometimes he starts teasing you in the middle of your rambling, repeating what you're saying or reacting dramatically. You smack his thigh or arm and whine that he's not taking it seriously. He just laughs at you and promises to listen seriously with a goofy face.

But when it comes to actual serious issues, you can really rely on Chan. He will hold your hand and caress you as you tell him your worries. He'll listen without interrupting, letting you vent to him. When you're done he will do everything he can to comfort you, motivate you, make you feel better, help you get through whatever you're struggling with.

Talks about you all the time, he's so proud to be yours and he's just infatuated with you. Giggles to himself when he thinks about you. He just adores you so much.
