AAAAH this is so good

Family Friendly

Family Friendly

Family Friendly

Genre: dad!Chan, crack

Warnings: vaguely suggestive

Request: no

Characters: Chan, Y/N, Noah, Sky

Word Count: 1.1k

Thursday nights in the Bahng household were reserved specifically for family movie nights. It was the one night in the week they all looked forward to (even if Sky complained about how corny the whole situation was), and they prepared well for it every time; a large plethora of snacks, the softest of blankets, and the perfect lighting in their room. Not too dark, not too bright - a middle ground that kept them all happy.

Every week, they took turns to choose the movie they wanted to watch. Naturally, this often ended in disaster; with Sky's love for horror, and Noah's love for crime, it seemed to Chan that he could never catch a break. Not that he'd ever complain - even if he did feel as though his blood was running cold more often than not, he didn't mind. He found that being in the company of his family acted as a buffer; he was just happy to be there, and he enjoyed seeing the happiness on his family's face.

This week, however, it was Chan's turn to choose a movie. He scrolled aimlessly through his Netflix account, a growing smirk on his face catching the attention of his daughter.

"Oh no," the thirteen year old shook her head as she pulled a large bowl of popcorn to herself. She had already dug her way through a quarter of it; Y/N knew she would have to get up in approximately ten minutes to make her a new batch.

"I know that look," Sky continued. "We're doomed … we're going to be subjected to the sappiest of sappy movies."

Chan chuckled as he continued to scroll with the TV remote. "You know me so well, Little Cloud."

"Lord give me strength," Sky muttered, making her parents both crack up with laughter.

The four of them were huddled up on the same sofa; it was a large sofa, giving them plenty of room for them to sit alone. However that didn't stop Chan from sitting half on top of his wife, his legs wrapped around her as though they were seatbelts, preventing her from leaving.

"I don't know," Noah chimed in. He was scrolling through his phone, pretending to not pay attention. "I love a good romance movie."

"That's my boy," Chan grinned. He reached his long arms out to playfully tickle Noah's neck, and the boy groaned as he shuffled out of the way. It only made his father move closer to him, and he gave up with a sigh, a smile spreading across his face.

"Can't we watch a horror movie?" Sky grumbled.

Y/N smiled. "Baby we watched a horror movie last week. Let your father watch the sappiness that he wants to watch."

Sky looked at her father. His eyes were sparkling as he scrolled through the movies, and his large nose was glowing coral in the room's warm lightning.

She smiled, curling her knees up to her chest. "Okay."

"What about this one?" Chan stopped at a movie; he mumbled the description to himself as his face broke into a smile. "This sounds fun … what do you think?"

"Whatever you want baby," Y/N dropped her head onto his shoulder. She reached for his hand under the blanket they were sharing, and only she noticed the flush creeping up his neck and the extraordinary heat radiating off of him at the movement.

Once Noah and Sky had agreed, Chan played the movie. He tossed the remote away; it bounced off of the armrest and disappeared onto the floor, making his children giggle.

He instantly regretted it a moment later when a rather explicit scene flashed across the screen. All four pairs of eyes widened before different reactions escaped them; Sky screamed, Noah grabbed a cushion to slam across his face, and Y/N burst into giggles just as her husband dived onto the floor.

They were barely five minutes into the movie, and chaos had already ensued. Chan scrabbled around on all fours as he hastily hunted for the remote, the lewd sounds from the TV being the backbone to the shrieking taking place in the room. Tears of embarrassment formed in Chan's eyes as tears of laughter formed in Y/N's, and when Chan suddenly spotted the remote under the sofa, he lunged for it, hitting his head on the small coffee table in the process.

"Dad!" Noah yelped, jumping at the sound of his father's head connecting with the wood.

Sky's round eyes widened further until they began to look like moderate sized plates.

"Ow," Chan sobbed, whirling around to press pause on the TV. He had stopped at a very inconvenient scene; what he assumed was the female lead seemed to be caught up in a very non-family friendly act, one that caused Noah to slide down the sofa in defeat. He reached for his phone and stared at its screen instead, slowly thumbing out the already disastrous events of the night to his friends.

Chan backed out of the movie. He threw the remote again and face planted into the seat of the sofa, an agitated scream leaving his mouth. His shoulders shook as he laughed silently, and Y/N pressed her lips together to stop herself from laughing like a goat as she reached out to pat his back.

"Why does this always happen to me … " Chan mumbled into the sofa. "Why me?"

"Daddy, you're bad at choosing movies," Sky declared. Her popcorn was already finished; she pushed the empty bowl away and grabbed the remote instead, a devilish look in her eyes. "My turn."

"Go ahead," Chan groaned as he climbed back onto the sofa. He fell into his wife's arms, his face resembling that of a sundried tomato as he buried it into the crook of her neck.

Y/N grinned as she hugged him. She leaned forward and whispered to him, making him choke.

"Maybe we should watch that later."

Chan thumped his chest, coughing aggressively. Completely oblivious to their mother's mischievous antics, Noah and Sky stared at their father.

"Dad … are you good?" Noah asked.

Chan whispered. "I'm good."

Sky snorted. "He's not good."

"I am good," Chan groaned, sitting up as he dropped his face into his hands. "Just … pick a movie, Ky."

And Sky did. She chose a horror movie, and almost a minute later, Chan let out a piercing scream; he hadn't expected a jumpscare to appear so early on in the movie, and his heart suddenly took off as though it was in a marathon.

The entire family burst into laughter all over again.

Chan meanwhile, burst into tears.

10, 16, 21 for VH?

Thank you so much for this one! I had a blast writing it, and I managed to make it into something very soft and very nice (for me at least) so enjoy! And thanks again

“Hey.” Victor-Hecate jumped at the soft knock and voice outside their door. The sky was dark, with clouds or time they weren’t sure.

“Come in,” they called out hesitantly, wary not to wake their mum.

A shadowy figure slipped through the barely open door, something shiny glinting by their side. “Couldn’t sleep?” Noah, their older brother, asked. “The storm or…” He trailed off, giving them a meaningful look as he draped a thin blanket over their shoulders. He sank to lean against their curled-up form, fixing his gaze on the quietly rumbling sky.

They shrugged. “A bit of both. I think,” they murmured, matching his volume.

“Come on, you don’t need to keep anything from me,” he cajoled.

“I’m not.”

They felt him shift against their side. “Really? Okay then, if you’re sure. 'Cause I’m definitely not,” he chuckled dryly. He rubbed circles on their back, reminiscent of when they were a couple of years younger, still struggling with their isolation. They’d suffered countless sleepless nights before finally accepting his help. He’d been on a break from college and took the time he could’ve been using to catch up on rest to comfort them. Instead, he sat on the edge of their bed, drawing shapes on their back while regaling them with fantastical tales straight from his imagination. He tested story ideas on them, asking their opinion the next morning and pretending the bags under his eyes were for purely selfish purposes.

“You know,” he interrupted their thoughts. “There was supposed to be a comet out tonight. But the storm,” lightning punctured his sentence, “kind of ruined that, don’t you think?”

They hummed in agreement, pressing against his weight. They teased him, “Didn’t peg you for the astronomy type.”

“I’m not, really, it just happened to be on my calendar.” Their jab had passed over his head. “Hey, uh, I brought something with me.”

“What is it, you big lug,” they were curious as they shoved him off them to see better.

He fell dramatically onto the bed, quietly moaning in mock pain. “How could you maim me like this? For that, I’m not going to show you anymore.” Thunder ominously followed his words. The dry storm outside gave way to rain pattering at their window. They sighed, a mixture of contentedness and playful annoyance swirling in their chest. Ensuring the blanket was between their hands and his bare arm they tugged weakly.

“Come on, please? I’m sorry. Sort of,” they grinned.

“Fine, fine,” he griped, sitting up. “I wouldn’t have wanted to waste my effort anyway.” He struggled to hide his smirk, trying to keep up the wounded façade. Despite their large age gap, the pair was still as thick as thieves. “Look.” He held out a medallion, ribbon first.

They took it gently, cradling it. “Is this?” they asked in wonderment.

He nodded, “Your first gymnastics award. Ma was cleaning out an old storage closet yesterday and I spotted it. In case you thought I had it. If I did it would’ve been lost.” He laughed, short and tired.

“Thank you.” They turned it over in their hand; it was still shiny as their lavender nightlight glinted off it, even after nine years. They tilted forward, hugging him tightly. He squeezed back, tracing a figure eight between their shoulder blades.

Extricating himself from their embrace, he slipped off the bed. “Now enjoy the storm,” he instructed, tiptoeing toward their ajar door, “but not for too much longer. As your sort of older brother, I’m contractually obligated to tell you that. And if you spot the comet, let me know.” He paused at the door. “Good night,” he singsonged.

“Night,” they called back softly. They huffed in contentment once they were sure Noah was far enough not to see their giddy smile or hear the happy thrumming of their heart. Victor-Hecate thumped back onto their bed, caressing the medal and watching the swirling sky. For what, they weren’t entirely certain. But that was okay as they kept an ear out for any more nighttime visitors.

I'm asking about Noah. I'm not sure what to ask in particular, so just choose some random facts you like! Feel free to tell as much as you'd like!

Cool beans! I'd love to ramble about him a bit

Sparing details, he had a pretty rough childhood with only a cat for company most of the time (a calico named Cookie)

He was adopted by Victor-Hecate's dad and his highschool sweetheart when he was around 10

Even though his parents split, he maintained a very close relationship with both dads, his new younger sibling and their mum

He's graduated from college and is currently writing a musical! That he hopes will make it to Broadway

His and Tae's family unit is a little odd but very precious to me.

gotard gelung masa - video Dailymotion
Full album: https://gotard.bandcamp.com/album/dharma More of GOTARD: https://gotard.manifo.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/gotard.music/ FB: https://www.facebook.com/GOTARD.info Inspirations and themes of visualization: "Gelung Masa" means "Time Loop" in Arabic. The story of an ancient lost civilization in the clip is inspired by the flood theory... The parable of Noah is similar to records in the culture of India and Persia. The global flood is also remembered by the indigenous people of Australia, the aborigines. Civilizations of South and Central America even speak of multiple global floods. The global flood (end of the world - Armageddon) is present in every culture and religion. From Gilgamesh to the Mayan records, the world may have suffered partial destruction even multiple times. Today, archeology redefines the time of existence of human civilization. Older artifacts that do not match earlier visions are being found. "Gelung Masa" (Time Loop) is a piece by the Gotard project inspired by the theory of infinity of time - because can it be certainly denied that the global civilization has already existed many times, just as the records of ancient American civilizations say?
