it really helps if you follow a general format of mentioning the pairing, genre, word count, and content warnings

writing in a neat format definitely helps with readability and really helps you get more people to read your work.

add a “read more” link if your work exceeds 1K words.

on your PC, you can do that by pressing “enter” and clicking on the three dots. you’ll see a lil zig zag line, just click on it.

on mobile, you type : readmore : (without the spaces) and press “return”. and voila! you’ve got a keep reading link

add your keep reading link after you’ve completed editing your post. there’s a glitch where tumblr eats up a whole paragraph if you edit something with a “keep reading” link. but it’s only on mobile. you can always edit a fic on PC with no issues.

if you get inspired by another writer’s work, please tag them in your post and give credit. otherwise you may be accused of plagiarism if your work is too similar to their. we take plagiarism very seriously over here so please be careful.

speaking of plagiarism… you may think this is a large community but it’s not. stuff circulates around and readers can always tell when a work is copied. so please do not plagiarise. even if you paraphrase it… people will find out. they have before. save yourself the hassle and write original pieces.

tumblr thrives on posts circulating, and the only way they circulate is through reblogs. the likes do nothing to boost fics in the algorithm. so please reblog. it’s a great way to keep the content you enjoy in one place

you can use tags to organise posts on your blog. for example: all of the fics i read are under “#ti’s recs”. so if you click on that tag when you’re on my blog, you’ll find all the fics i’ve reblogged. i hope that made sense.

you can also use tags to give feedback. people often feel too shy to voice their thoughts as a post so they use that tags instead! you’ll notice how some tags are super long and are basically just thoughts and rambles about the post. there’s a limit though. if you wanna write something super long, i suggest you use the actual writing space 😂

It was only after some time trying to recover from the fright that you noticed and widened your eyes you were practically on top of him with your hands on his chest few feelings far from his face, but you noticed something different in his look at you that was always something distant cold was full of something different that you couldn't distinguish "What are you doing?"

He asked softly until it sounded like he was afraid to ask.
