Okay but like what if Batdad and Nightwing didn't see each other as father and son but as brothers. Like Imagine Bruce takes him in when he's like 24 and Dick is 12. They basically have a sibling relationship like Lilo and Nani. And since they see each other like siblings they obviously fight so when Dick leaves, Bruce is upset but they're siblings so Dick still talks to him(reluctantly).

Then Bruce adopts Jason and we've all seen how siblings are when one gets a kid. Dick is the fun uncle but slowly turns into the mom when he realises Bruce doesn't really know how to look after a kid.

When Bruce gives Jason "Robin", Dick is mad because, "What the Hell, Bruce! That's mine!" but Jason is now his child so he's okay with giving Jason his thing but he's still mad Bruce gave it without asking him first.

Then Jason dies and Bruce is mad at the fact he couldn't save him and Dick is just mad so he goes out and (accidentally) kills the joker.

Then Tim comes along becomes Robin and tries to take care of Bruce while not knowing to take care of himself... and no Dick would not allow that so he forcefully puts Bruce's head straight they way only siblings know how, so that they could look after this baby.

Then Steph comes along and she's pregnant and they help her through that entire process. They support her choice to leave the kid up for adoption but they are kinda upset they won't be grandparents.

Then Jason is back and is a rebellious shit so they set him straight like Jason is like, "Shut up you're not my dad." Which makes Dick emotional and Bruce gives the whole, "we understand and we're sorry we weren't there for you but we'll try to be supportive now so could you please apologise to Dick, you've upset him." Speech

Then Damian comes along and Dick now hates Talia and refuses to allow her anywhere near his son.

Cass is confused but doesn't mind because her family is great.

Duke thinks his new parents need to chill.

Bruce and Dick have that sibling competitiveness that makes them try to out parent the other lol
