I was listening to in the dark of the night from Anastasia and it had a Shang Tsung-esc feel to it 😂 and I wanted to how would Shang Tsung react to his S/O singing the song and laughing at the comparison, sorry not sorry

So I found this cover and happened to really love it so adding it to this.

Shang tsung is a busy man that much is known but he takes pleasure in the moments when he isn't. Today was such, he didn't often wonder his island in such peace. Eyes closed as a soft brezze ruffles his hair.

His eyes meet the vast ocean when he hears music in the distance. He turns around and makes his way towards the music to see his lover in the distance.

"In the dark of the night I was tossing and turning

And the nightmare I had was as bad as can be

It scared me out of my wits

A corpse falling to bits!

Then I opened my eyes

And the nightmare was, me" they giggles spinning around eyes closed as the music continues to play from their phone.

A smile forms on his lips as he moves closer not wishing to disturb them. Their voice like nothing he had heard in such a long time. They continue as he leans up agaisnt a tree.

"I was once the most mystical man in all Russia

When the royals betrayed me they mad a mistake

My curse made each of them pay

But one little girl got away

Rasputin's awake" Shang moves quickly he's behind them and his arms wrap around their waist causing them to almost scream before they realise it's him.

"Don't stop on my account Beloved" he hums lightly into their neck. They find their voice again and quickly continue the lyrics.

"In the dark of the night evil will find her

In the dark of the night just before dawn!"

He sways lightly with them in his arms, content with his lover being close. He presses a soft kiss to their cheek causing them to almost stop again. They shoot him a look.

" Revenge will be sweet

When the curse is complete

In the dark of the night" Shang begins to hum along to the tune, he presses light kisses to their neck and head letting out small sounds of approval.

"She'll be gone

I can feel that my powers are slowly returning

Farewell" they shutter at the end of the verse and turn around to face Shang. "Your a pest you know" they say to him and rest their head against his chest.

"My dear I would be careful with what you call me after all I might just take your soul" he chuckles leaning down and gentle kisses them. They kiss him back arms wrapping around his shoulders and pulling him closer.

They pull away staying close but enough that they can see feel each other's lips brush agaisnt each then they talk. "What an interesting Song beloved, where did you find" he hums again.

"Its from a movie, one I loved watching, the song reminded me of you" they laugh lightly, they press their forehead against his eyes closed as they stand there in the peace of the island as the song chances.

"Hmm perhaps I should learn it" he says with a small laugh picking his lover up and walking towards one to the trees near the view of the water.

"That would be to much it's enough that it suits you way to well Shang" they laugh back arms holding onto him as he lowers them to the ground it him.

The both sit against the tree together eyes out on the waves in the distance and they cuddle up to each other.

"Hmm you know if you were a God you would rival Loki, both Mischievous, good looking, shapeshifter, magic users and would try to kill each other" they laugh lightly head pressing into his chest again.

"Do I have a competitor Beloved?" He ask with a raised eyebrow and a small smile on his lips.

"Competitor?, to you. Gods no. Im lucky enough to have such a handsome man as it is." They reply hands coming up to cradle his face.

The smile on their lips never falters. "I love you and only you Shang Tsung and your gonna have a hell of a time trying to get rid of me"

He pulls them back in for a kiss cradling them close before he pulls away. "Beloved I love you more then you will ever know, I may take the souls of others but mine. It belongs to you" he whispers.

They both stay in the spot for the rest of the day talking and cuddling while watching the ocean. It wasn't often Shang tsung got days liek this, but when he did they were moments he cherished.

I've always loved Shao Khan but there isnt always a lot for him 😅

So I might make this as part of a mini series becuase I have an idea down for it. It may be between 3 to 5 chapters.

This is alot shorter them I wanted but I'm hoping to do more as a little series.

Part 1

I will do my best for him!, I haven't done much for him so this will take a while. But I'm gonna do some study of him so I can try and get his charcater down pat.

Shao Kahn didn't take Spouses often. Yes he has combines but his lover had would their way into his life. They weren't a fighter by choice.

They were from earhtrealm, had been brought to Outworld as a offering to him. He payed no mind to them after they became the head maid for his daughters.

After Sindel had died there wasn't anyone other then maids and the occasional of his concubines who would look after them to gain greater status.

Kitana treated them well didn't ask much, Mileena took to them quickly, her hair was put into different styles each day.

She had learned hwobto do make up from them and it was the start of Shao Kahn noticing them.

Skarlet was also quick to take to them as well, but Mileena and Skarlet the two took to them as if their own parent.

They would help with clothing, make up or anything the girls asked for. Eventually Shao Kahn would give them a small nod here and there.

They didn't interact much with the Kahn, he had his own business but would occasionally spend time with the three woman.

Kitana opened up to them about Sindel and what had happened. She spend more time with them enjoying the stories of earhtrealm that they would share.

Shao noticed how they would flinch and almost try to become one with the walls when he was near. They had nearly screamed when he had placed a hand on their shoulder.

Their eyes wide as they look up to him before they focus back on the ground trying to avoid any unnecessary violence or talking.

That was the most extensive interaction he had with them until they took a knife to the shoulder protecting Mileena.

Alot had happened that night and that's how they had found themselves standing in Shao Kahn's bedchamber.

It's times like this they should be scared for their life. He is very menacing and just being in his presents is intimidating.

As he moves closer they try to disappear from his line of sigh. "We have much to discuss, pet" the hair on their arms and neck stand up as they shutter under his gaze.

Time to give your fictional japanese Man the food he deserves ! (*≧ω≦*)

(Serves two with side dishes..i had it with rice and salad :3) TW because i debone the chicken in detail to show how to do it

What you need:

for the Chicken - 500g Chickenthighs - 1/2 Apple - 1 Onion ( i used shallots) - 2-3 cloves of Garlic - 100ml Soy Sauce - 1/3TS Dashi - 1 EL Mirin

For the deep frying part - Oil to fry - Cornstach - Flour - 1 freezer bag

1. Debone the Chicken Thights or get already deboned ones depending wehre you are from.

Cut arround the neck of the bone to reach the tendons to cut them aswell... If they are very long you can trim them with an sciccor afterwards. Shove the meat down the bone. Slide your knife under the meat at the downside cutting the entire thing open. Fold it up and cut off the meat under the bone on the other side. Turn everything arround and squish te meat down as much as you can to loose it from the joint. Cut arround the joint and here you have your piece :D

...leave the skin on..

2. Take an garter and grind up the Apple, Onion, Ginger and Garlic as fine as possible.. I used the apple with its peel Make sure to safe the apple and onion juices to put them in the bowl with the other stuff ..

3. Mix Soy Sauce, Mirin and the Dashi powder into each other... If you dont have Dashi you can us beef or chicken broth instead (o´∀`o) tastes as good.

4. Add the Liquid to the chicken and give everything a good Mix before covering up your container. Let everything soak and marinade for 4 Hours..

The chicken gets even better if you marinade everything for 24 h in the fridge.

5. Mix Cornstarch and flour 3/1 into a big enogh freezer bag to hold up at least two of the chicken pieces with enough room arround them. Blow up the bag. Give everything a good hard shake to coat the chicken perfectly , quick and mess free with the starch and flour (o˘◡˘o)

6. Make sure your oil is hot and ready to deep fry when you get the coated pieces out of the bag. Deep fry them for 5 minutes until golden brown.. Just two at the time and repeat the coating and frying until you used all your meat. Keep the pieces warm in the oven at low heat until everything is done deep frying.

7. Serve with some Kewpie Mayonaise or a little bit of Lemon juice if desired (´｡• ω •｡`).. I paired everything with simple rice and spring onion topping and salad
