It’s late in the evening - the sun low on the horizon, its light illuminating the sky in darkened shades of gold and amber. The sea under the skyline is calm, the lulled waves rocking back and forth across the surface. He’s a long way from home. Jungkook knows this. He’d left his small house when it was still bright - the sun overhead - and now, that same sun is lowering over the horizon. He knows he only has a few hours before dusk breaks and the sky is bathed in the dark hues of twilight. Nevertheless, Jungkook hops from rock to rock with experienced practice, each movement confident and skilled as he continues hiking along the jagged terrain of the sea cliffs near his town.

He hasn’t been out for a hike in a while. Mainly, because he’s practically explored every cave, cavern, and trail that surrounds his little seaside hometown of Jeju. Today, however, he’d felt particularly antsy and knew he just needed to get out of the house, wander along the cliffs by himself, and take a breather. More than that, however, was that something about today had been calling out to him. There was an inexplicable pull deep within him, one that yearned for him to leave his home. Jungkook considers himself an experienced hiker. In fact, there’s no one else who knows the area better than him. Though, with the low setting sun, he knows he’s now further than he’s ever been.

Jungkook has no idea where he is. He doesn’t know where he’s walking to or why his feet, despite aching from how far he’s walked from home, continue their wayward journey. No, Jungkook doesn’t know where he’s going or why he’s going there. He just knows he wants to, and he’s never been one to not follow his heart. Thus, he lets his legs guide him towards wherever his destination is. Every now and then, he stops to take in the scenery and breathe in the beauty that surrounds him.

Synopsis: The accounting class you had to take has always been boring. Boring teacher, boring material, boring people… But when your professor falls ill and refuses to cancel class, he enlists the help of his most trusted, and most attractive, teaching assistant: Jeon Jeongguk.

Usually, you would rather be doing anything other than sitting in your daily accounting class, wasting away precious hours that you can never get back while you work through outlandish scenarios that never really happen in real life. All you really had to worry about when it came to becoming a CPA were people running around like chickens with their heads cut off during the oh so perfect time of tax season. But in this class, you had to calculate mark equilibria for firms that never made any sense. You were even deemed a problem student when you begged the question on if these problems were even necessary. However, that’s what usually happens. Today is one of those days where all you wanted to do was stay in that damn accounting class. Why? Not only because the professor wasn’t there, but because school hottie and economic protege Jeon Jeongguk was helping in leading the class.

Jeongguk looked really good as he would pace the front of the classroom, writing down various equations for finding marginal utility when comparing two or more activities in a personal setting, rolling up the bottoms of his sleeves so that they would rest on the middle of his forearms and running a hand through his hair that had every girl in the class swooning. Including you. It was as if he knew how hot he was whenever he turned around and asked a question to the class, looking at all the girls in the front of the class and ignoring any male student that had their hands raised for at least five minutes to answer the question. You noticed how he never seemed to look at you though, causing your ego to diminish slightly.

“Alright class,” Jeongguk said as he flicked his wrist towards himself to read the time on his expensive looking Rolex watch, looking back up at the twenty plus students who returned his gaze. “Everyone did so well today so let’s call it a day. I’ll let Dr. Holmgren know how great you guys were and hopefully I get the chance to help out again! Enjoy your guys’ weekends.” Even though the girls would kill to stay after class, you were surprised at how quickly the class seemed to empty into the halls. Then again, these were college students you were dealing with. Anytime a chance to leave early presented itself, it was every man for himself. 

Jeongguk seemed to notice how quickly everyone had left until he saw you, tilting his head slightly in curiosity, “Decided to stay after, hmm?” You chuckled lightly to yourself as you were stuffing your notebook into your backpack before you slung it over your shoulder, getting ready to leave, “Oh no, I guess I just take a little bit longer than everyone else.” The one time you were telling the truth and not making an excuse for yourself was the one time you seemed the least believable, leading Jeongguk to set his folder of notes down and round to the opposite side of his desk, walking towards you with a certain look in his eyes that force your breathing to catch in your throat, “Is that so? If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you wanted to be alone with me.” 

Your eyes widened at Jeongguk’s sudden change in mood as you found yourself standing completely still, frozen in place as Jeongguk continued towards you his eyes never falling from your gaze. He continued to approach you until he was standing right in front of you, placing his hands on either side of your hips on the desk, licking his lips before he spoke, “Come on, Y/N. I’ve seen the way you’ve been looking at me all class period. You never wrote down anything and the only thing you were concerned about the whole lecture was how I looked in this button down shirt… Or maybe you were thinking about how I would look without it?”
