honestly tv is really dead. I’m tired of streaming services making those 8 episodes shows that never get the chance to have more seasons after making the audience invested in the characters and also making the cast and creators uncertain and anxious about getting the chance to go back to another season. I miss when we had actual shows with multiple seasons in production from the start to keep the interest going, this format of not quite a show but also not a limited series fucking sucks and I feel so bad for everyone that works for these streamings

We need a " Bad Batch Shorts " series or something just to witness the glory of Emomega.

Omega growing out of her “sweet happy-go-lucky child” phase and into her “moody emotional teenager” phase would be quite the upheaval in the Bad Batch household, because Hunter is probably devastated and emotional and a little scared about it all because that’s his little girl, but Crosshair just smirks and buys a pack of extra crunchy toothpicks because his time has come.

“The Batch didn’t try hard enough to help Crosshair in season 1, it’s like they don’t even care.”

“Hunter tries to convince Crosshair to come back by telling him it’s his inhibitor chip as if he can just snap out of it.”

For real, nothing is good enough for you people… 💀

Throughout the pilot Hunter is noticeably, increasingly troubled by the way Crosshair is acting because it isn’t like him, even before there’s a confrontation about it. You can see in his expressions that he’s paying close attention trying to figure out what the hell’s up with him and concerned about it, because he cares about him! TBB is a fast-paced all-ages action show without a long runtime per episode, and so every moment of character interaction or emotionality carries a lot more, and it does take moments early in the season specifically to show that the squad misses Crosshair and that Hunter feels guilty for leaving him behind even though he really had no choice.

Of course when they see Crosshair they try to reach him with words and tell him he’s being used. They may not be sure if his inhibitor chip is fully working, and it’s literally the only thing they can try! That’s their brother, of course they’re gonna try to talk to him!

They don’t get a chance to remove his inhibitor chip. Which would not have made a difference in his choice because that’s what the show is telling us when we learn his is gone, that he may not have done certain things early in the season without it but for his character going forward it doesn’t actually matter much. This and the fact that Crosshair genuinely feels betrayed and abandoned by them (because they didn’t choose him over everything else by staying with the Empire) can both be true at the same time. And even if they did take his chip out that would be taking away his choice in a different way and not actually be okay.

Imagine thinking you love Crosshair more than his family who’ve been with him his entire life and you could have done more in their position because you get off to readerfic about him. 😭

It's really funny how Grogu is the oldest of this group and Hunter is the youngest.
