Day 6: Mistletoe/Movies
Christmas didn't exist in Altea, so Coran was very surprised when Lance asked him if they could celebrate it with their families at the new Castle of Lions. Keith remembered how complicated it had been for all of them to explain each tradition to him, and since they came from different cultures, each paladin had different traditions for that joyous day. He remembered how Lance boasted about the gifts to give to everyone, while Hunk talked about the cooking competitions with his family, while Pidge explained the religious reason in which she had been rigorously educated by her parents. Of course, Keith also had traditions that had been passed down to him by his father, and which he had continued to do after his death. However, Coran liked the idea, so he immediately nodded and accepted the proposal. For a week, the castle was in total commotion as robots hung pine garlands, branches, and fairy lights throughout the castle. The ballroom had been decorated and illuminated, and in every corner one could find small or large Christmas trees, and for a moment, although he hated large parties, he thought it was a nice thing to get all together on a day that it was Allura's commemoration.
December 24th arrived quickly, and all the families and important friends of the paladins showed up at the Castle of the Lions elegant and smiling. The foods that Hunk had carefully cooked together with his and Romelle's group accompanied the buffet of appetizers full of laughter, smiles and harmony, and for a moment everything seemed perfect in Keith's eyes. At least until the Holt family arrived, late, but not without smiles and elegant clothes; and as soon as he saw Pidge in a gorgeous, elegant green dress⌠well⌠that was more than perfect for him. The dress was a simple green dress with thin straps, a skirt with layers of tulle that fell above the knee but reached the calf at the back, a V-neck and stockings that perfectly reflected the color of her pale and warm complexion . She smiled and sat at the table apologizing to everyone for being late, while he watched her move around the room. Hell, it took Hunk to lock his jaw shut! But only then did he realize that, damn, she was now twenty years old and no longer a little girl, but it had taken such an elegant, tight and feminine dress, that it had surely been Colleen's idea, to make it for her. note? Apparently yes, but apparently that stupid reaction of his made someone else understand something else, even if in fact it didn't take him long to understand it. His cheeks colored every time he looked at her from behind or in front, even though he didn't have this effect with the other girls, who were dressed more or less the same.
Lance had approached him while he was drinking a glass of champagne in the corner of the party a few minutes after eleven while everyone else was dancing, an evil smile on his face.
âHow's it going?â He laughed, wrapping his arm around his shoulders.
âGoodâŚâ: Keith replied, shrugging and taking a sip of the yellow, gaseous liquid, hoping it would stop the slight blush on his cheeks, while he looked at her from across the room talking to Matt and Curtis.
âPidge looks beautiful tonight, doesn't she?â Lance chuckled, hitting that sore point Keith had hoped he wouldn't mention, and in fact he almost choked on his champagne.
âW-What? Well, in short... It's the usual Pidge...": he stopped his embarrassment by wiping his mouth with a napkin.
âDo you really hope that I believe you? Poor naive person, we all saw that as soon as she entered on your face exploded little hearts ...": he sighed, shaking his head.
"Everyone?": he turned pale: "Even her?"
âI don't know, either she's the only one who hasn't noticed or she's too kind to pretend nothing happenedâ: he replied.
âAHâ: Keith nodded: âSo what should I do nowâŚ?â
âYou definitely can't miss her, I mean, look at her! She is smart, strong, smart and beautiful! Once upon a time, I admit, I would have questioned the fact that she was cute but now, man...": he interrupted the sentence, but the other immediately understood where he was going. For Keith, beauty was a subjective thing, and after seeing different alien races in so many physical aspects they had made him believe that, rightly, beauty wasn't that important, but then why was he now so attracted to her in that way? Once, as paladins, he was amazed at her strength and speed, her ingenuity and her mentality, perhaps it was that attraction that returned to the surface after all that time that made him react that way?
âYou can't escape from loveâŚâ: his father always repeated every time he placed a mistletoe leaf on the ceiling. He always said that he did it because his mother liked that tradition, and that therefore for him it was like a symbol of hope that she would return. This had always made baby Keith cry.
âI didn't mean thatâŚâ: he shook his head: âI mean⌠How⌠How do you conquer a woman?â
"Oh! Wow! I never imagined I would have to give this speech to lone wolf Keith Kogane!â: Lance laughed.
âJust answer!â: he whispered, embarrassed and with his face on fire. Lance simply pointed to a small archway at the end of the room, where there was some mistletoe tied with a red Christmas bow.
âAre you kidding!?â: Keith shook his head, feeling his cheeks as red as his former uniform.
"Why not?"
âBecause that's in front of everyone, you idiot!â
âOh, well, then what's another one in the corridor before the stairs and the bathroom, almost no one ever goes there!â: he explained.
âOkay!â: He grumbled, rubbing his cheeks to reduce the blush. He looked back across the room at Pidge, who was standing up and giving Matt the glass of water. From her lips and how she pointed to the door he could assume she was going to the bathroom, perfect.
âIt's your time!â: Lance exclaimed, giving him a pat on the shoulder that almost made the champagne fall. He growled for a moment, then sighed and with slow steps headed towards the door. Once he crossed the threshold he could see a short corridor lit only by the classic blue neon lights of the castle and by a few light lights on the stairs to the left, which had a small mistletoe plant on the ceiling at the beginning. He was alone for the moment, although he could hear the water running from the bathroom not far away, so he decided to lean on the start of the stair railing without rushing and waiting for her. Pidge came out a short time later waving her hands at the ground as if to dry them and when she looked up she jumped slightly.
âKeith, you scared me!â: she laughed, approaching him and leaning on the pillar as well.
âIt's been a while since we talked, alone and as friends I meanâŚâ: he sighed, and thanked heaven that the alcohol was finally having its effect, making his tone much calmer and sedate and his cheeks less reddish.
âYeahâŚâ: she nodded: âI've been pretty busy with the GarrisonâŚâ
âI knowâŚâ: he replied, looking up once again towards the mistletoe. After all, it was he who told Coran to put a few leaves hanging here and there around the castle, after all it was his tradition, and each paladin had been pleased with an important piece of their culture: Lance had embellished the tree and the gift packages with colored shells, Hunk had shared much of the traditional food on the menu, Shiro had bought lights of all kinds and Pidge had managed to steal an old nativity scene from her mother.
âAnyway, I was surprised to hear that your Christmas and your traditions are different from everyone else'sâŚâ: Keith confessed, looking at her.
"What can I say? My parents are very religious and then the traditional Italian Christmas is much less complicated than the American one. There's no mistletoe, Christmas Eve parties, stockings hanging on the fireplace...": she sighed: "You only see all this in those horrible Christmas films..."
âHave you really never imagined a kiss under the mistletoe?â: he asked.
âA kiss under the mistletoe? We don't even use mistletoe...": she shook her head.
âOh, well, it kind of sucks⌠I thought everyone did thatâŚâ: Keith admitted.
âBut, now that you make me think about it, it would be niceâŚâ: she thought, thinking out loud: âIt seems romanticâŚâ
âIt isâŚâ: he nodded.
âHave you ever tried this?â: Pidge asked.
âNo, I've never had the opportunity, like youâŚâ: he shook his head.
She sighed, looking at him and then moving her gaze to the green leaves above his head. She looked around the empty hallway as loud sounds of music and laughter could be heard from the front door. Sometimes you could even hear someone yelling about the Christmas countdown.
âWhat if this was an opportunity?â She finally found the courage to speak, and he raised an eyebrow at her.
"Really? Would you like it?â: he asked shocked.
âWell, yes, just to try, and then we can just forget everythingâŚâ: she shrugged, moving away from the column and opposing him.
âWhat does it tell you that I want to forget?â: He followed her example, approaching her and looking down at her; she had grown and stood tall, but he still towered over her.
âAnd what does it tell you that I don't want to forget either?â: she replied in the same way. They both smiled as they slowly approached, moving backwards slightly so they were completely under the mistletoe. Shouts could be heard from the main room, probably the countdown had started.
â5!â
Her arms wrapped around his neck, gently massaging his tense muscles and jaw, adjusting the collar of his red shirt. Likewise he grabbed her waist, pulling her as close as possible and studying her hips with his fingers through the delicate fabric of her green dress.
â4!â
His hands moved from her hips to her cheeks, stroking them gently and looking into her eyes. With a slow gesture he moved her glasses, moving them above her head, definitively freeing those golden and shining eyes of hers.
â3!â
She looked into his eyes, drowning in that work of art of purple colors and shades. Maybe that was the only way she could tell that part of him was Galra. She wet her lips slightly, and, even though she had never done it, she didn't feel scared or embarrassed. Maybe it was Christmas that gave such a magical atmosphere?
"2!"
They came closer, again and again, closer each time. His hands fell to her sides again, while her arms wrapped around his neck as she moved on tiptoe despite the small heels she wore, and he bent over.
â1!â
Their lips joined with heat and passion, carried away by each other's taste as they gave impetus to what they had desired and hoped for for years.
"Merry Christmas to all!"
Hi everyone, I'm sick so some of the remains days will be published later... I'm really sorry for that but I'm trying my best...

Day 8: Christmas
(This is a part two of Day 6: Mistletoe)
That kiss, full of passion and lightheartedness was all it took to drive him crazy. He lowered his head as much as possible, and even if it was uncomfortable he didn't care, he had to make that kiss last as long as possible. His lips against hers made sparks in his mouth, distributing that searing fire throughout his body. He caressed her waist, that sweet little narrow waist that she had earned in the time he was on a mission and she was at home on Earth, so perfect and soft. Suddenly he was overcome by a strange warm sensation, but that kiss was setting off fireworks in his stomach, and for a moment he was afraid that it might explode. Her arms around his neck became tighter and tighter as she tried hard to get up higher and reach him, but hurting his back in the process, but he didn't care. If lust was a road to hell, then he would more than willingly go there. He held her closer while her arms encircled his neck ardently, so much so that it was a slight annoyance, but for what he wanted, dying now wasn't a problem, not in her arms and with his mouth glued shut to hers. The mistletoe was still hanging from the ceiling, and the mess in the next room wasn't finished yet. Everyone was probably opening presents now, but that, to Keith, was the best gift anyone could give him. The mutual warmth was nothing short of fantastic, as that magical kiss turned into a real mess of tongues and hungry bites. This position of hers was rather uncomfortable, and he gently pushed her against the wall near the staircase, positioning his hands and welded his fingers into her thighs. He pulled her up, kissing her ardently, and one arm lowered from her thigh to her knee, encircleling her leg by his torso, caressing the bare skin of her calf, the other moved up towards her exposed back, whose only parts of fabric were green ribbons, which, elegant as they were, he wanted to tear. In reality he wanted to tear off her entire dress at that moment. He bit her lower lip and she let out a soft moan as breathing became erratic for both of them. All that passion was too much. âKeithâŚâ: she gasped, breaking the kiss and looking into his eyes: âWe have to stopâŚâ He obeyed, pulling away from her slightly and looking into her eyes. She was lying, he could see it in her look. She wanted to continue, she wanted to push deeper. âYou're rightâŚâ: he nodded. No, she wasn't right, she wanted to stop for no reason in the world. That spark inside his chest was slowly dying out, as was the magic and joy of the moment. If for that moment his world had been colored with fun and lively shades, now a sad and inexpressive grayish tone was returning.
âI have to go, they're waiting for meâŚâ: she regained her composure, going down from that column and heading towards the main room. Her cheeks were colored a pure pink. He watched her leave and then headed towards the bathroom. He washed his hands and his mouth, hoping to rinse away anything she had left, yet it was everywhere on his body. On his lips and in his mouth he could still smell her perfume, lost in the desire to feel her still pressed against his body. He shook his head and returned to the room. By now everyone was sitting talking or exchanging the last remaining gifts, however under the tree there were some colorful packages left, those of him and Pidge. Even though there were a lot of other people there, that sickly good smell was still on him, so much so that he turned to see her unwrapping a present in a hidden corner. She was watching him as she opened a present on her lap, her plump lips slightly parted as if it were an invitation. His eyes darted away, trying with all his might not to look at her again. Someone put an arm around his shoulders, and he turned his head and saw Lance. "So? How did it go?â: He asked with such a stupid smile and with too much hope that he already wanted to punch him. He was there, his face slightly damp from sweat and tap water, his black tie limp and the top three buttons of his shirt unbuttoned. âI couldn'tâ: he shook his head, putting his hands in his pockets and moving his arm away. Lance looked at him with a confused frown and a furrowed brow. âSeriously?â: He raised an eyebrow, his expression changing in surprise: âBut⌠but what happened then?â âNothing, we talkedâŚâ: he lied, shrugging his shoulders: âWe talked and then, then she went back insideâŚâ âReally?â: he raised his eyebrow again: âYou didn't even try?â "Try?"
âto kiss her, Mullet!â: Lance shook his head: âYou can't just be friendly at first and then kiss her! You have to build a romantic, passionate atmosphere and then, only then, can you kiss her!â Oh, Lance, the passion was there, sure enough! Keith wanted to answer, but he just shrugged and kept his gaze fixed on the Christmas tree. âAre you sure you're fine, nothing bad happened, right?â: Lance asked again, with a slightly worried frown. In fact, Lance, yes, a terrible thing happened: I discovered that kissing Pidge is the greatest thing in the entire universe! He replied mentally. If that was an effect of the addiction, then he would be addicted to her for life, because Pidge was everywhere. In his head, in his thoughts there was her. Everywhere he turned, his eyes rested on her, every object he touched seemed to have the same texture as her soft hips. It was a torture. It was painful. He wanted her, so much that he felt his heart beating in his chest as the spark rekindled. It wasn't animalistic or possessive. It was love. âI'm just tiredâ: he replied: âIt's past midnight, maybe I should restâ âAre you kidding, man?! It is Christmas! Basically your party! Red and green, does it remind you of something!?â: he exclaimed. âI said I'm tiredâ: he replied dryly, taking his jacket and going up to the quarters.

Day 7: Cooking (Modern AU)
The snowflakes danced on the house driven by the wind and the freezing current on the illuminated city. From the windows you could see New York, beautiful and crowded as always, snow-capped and silent. Katie focused again on the dough in her hands, which had stuck to her hands as she looked outside. She grunted, trying to get more flour from the paper bag, but she unexpectedly dropped it and grunted again. Luckily she managed to get enough of the dough off her hands, she went to the sink and started washing her hands. Her university classes were quite tiring, not to mention the endless days she spent in the huge penthouse studying instead of enjoying the Big Apple. She had many times received invitations from other students in the same classes as her, or with Lance and Hunk, hell, she had even promised Keith a proper date, so that they wouldn't always have to only see each other late at night. After all, he was as busy and tired with his job in the army as she was with university.
She dried her hands, took a vacuum cleaner and cleaned up the mess on the cold, dark wooden parque. She had managed as much as she could to remedy the neutrality of how she had found the apartment upon her arrival, bare and without a minimum of personality, and, even if not much had changed, there were still beautiful curtains and green plants, frames with photos of important friends, and a huge painting of a green lion hanging on the bare white wall.
Katie continued baking the damn cookies. After finishing studying she went to bed without dinner, completely exhausted, but she couldn't sleep, so she looked for a rather simple recipe for beginners online. Maybe she could give some to Keith when he returned, or to Hunk for some advice. She rolled out the dough with a rolling pin, then took some tender tree-shaped molds that belonged to her mother. She didn't jump when the front door suddenly opened with disturbing slowness, revealing a figure dressed in black and dusted with snow. She smiled as he dropped the bag in the corner. She always kept the front door open even at night, also because only two attics were housed on her floor and the security was too rigorous to overcome it.
âHow strange, I thought you lived in the appartament 2001, Keithâ: she laughed at him, looking up and placing her dirty hands on the island.
âI've been away for a long time, I just wanted to see youâ: he returned a smile, putting his hands in his pockets and moving closer to her, and when he was next to her, he helped her by moving the dough molds on a layer of flour.
âAren't you tired?â: she asked.
âYes, but my girlfriend is more tired than me and she is making delicious cookies. If I help her she will go to bed early and so I will be able to fall asleep more easily, next to her": he smiled, touching her cheeks and dirtying them with flour.
âIt's very sweet, but I'm fine, plus I haven't been on a military base in Texas for a weekâŚâ: she laughed at him, throwing a handful of white powder on his uniform. Her jacket and pants got dirty, as did her face and the floor, but they didn't care.
âI trained my body, you trained my mind, that's really tiringâ: he shrugged his shoulders, concentrating not to break the thin pastry: âHow's university going?â
âExcellent, I'd say, the first semester is over. Finally!â: she rejoiced calmly.
âDoes this mean you're finally going to take a break from studying?â His purple eyes darted over her.
âMaybeâ: she nodded with a smile: âAnd it also means that one day you will take me out on the date I promised youâ
He smiled again as he watched her take the pan and put the cookies in the oven. She sighed putting her hands behind her back, a proud expression on her face.
âGood, we have 20 minutesâ: she turned to look at him again, leaning against the island without getting her sweater dirty: âWhat do we do? Will you go back to your apartment and unpack your suitcase and then come back here as soon as I call you?â
âWhat if I stay here?â: he looked at her penetratingly.
âYou will still be welcomeâ: she smiled, forgetting about the scattered flour and sitting on the island to tower over him, bringing him closer and pulling him into a kiss. He reciprocated eagerly, placing his hands on either side of her thighs as she wrapped her legs around his back.
After 30 minutes they remembered the burnt biscuits in the oven.

KIDGE WINTER EVENT
Sorry had a sinus infection and was feeling out of it so please enjoy the past 2 prompts and hopefully I can get todays out too!
Day 2 12/19 Christmas tree/jacket
Keith woke up with a start! His hand automatically reached for his blade, muscles readying, when the giggles and whispers registered. Relaxing his muscles, he reorientated himself. He let himself listen and enjoy this moment.
His oldest son, Drew, could be heard ordering his siblings around. Well, after hearing a high-pitched âNo,â trying might be a better word. Drewâs little voice firmly directed them to brush their teeth and grab their cold-weather items like gloves and hats. Then there was his daughter Abbey, who could be heard singing her classâ Christmas carol and completely ignoring her older brother. And finally, with no sounds from his youngest Finn, who at 5 translated into him probably watching TV on the couch with his blankie firmly held in his arms.
He felt Katie start to stir and murmur, âWell, so much for sleeping in; we might as well get up and pick out our tree.â
Keith kissed her forehead and replied, âStay here; Iâll get them rounded up and ready. I know you didnât finish your projections until early this morning. Iâll even feed the gremlins too!â
Katie sighed, âThisâŚthis is why I keep you around.â Chuckling, he pinched her side and slid out of bed.
As he corralled the kids, got them fed and dressed, put on their favorite Disney Holiday movie, Mickeyâs Twice Upon a Christmas, stopped a fight, and found a lost glove, he finally returned to wake Katie. As she started her process of getting ready, Keith himself got ready, as well as getting a saw and tie-downs. While putting the stuff in the car, he got a message from one of his former Blades operatives: some pictures from their most recent mission. He quickly shot off a quick reply and called out if everyone was ready to leave.
On the way to the tree farm, the car was filled with yelling, laughter, and teasing. Luckily, there was no puking. It seems Finn has finally grown out of his car sickness, which was great. Plus, a little arguing from the peanut gallery. Katie was already on her phone looking up places to eat near their destination, and somehow, Drew managed to hook up his music playlist to the car! He glanced at Katie, jokingly saying, âYou know, this kid is going to be the death of me, right? I canât handle two geniuses.â
To which she manically grinned, replying, âWhat about 4?â
Once they arrived at their destination, they promptly got stuck in the mud in the parking lot, which the kids thought was excellent. Keith was more annoyed that they didnât plan for this, but out he went to try and push while Katie took control of the wheel when suddenly he had all three children next to himâŚin the mud. Keith groaned; the car was going to be filthy!
He could hear Katie swearing, talking about how they should have kept the test flooring in the van because they could have put it in front of the tires. Keith yelled, âThereâs no room in there for that and Drewâs hockey bag!â
Finally, some workers from the farm came out and helped push. As they walked the tree farm, debating on the pros and cons of each tree and watching his kids run down the aisles of trees laughing and pushing, he grabbed Katieâs mittened hand. Pulling her to a stop, he tugged her close and said, âBabe, thank you.â
Katie blinked, âNo thanks needed, bud. Hell, this is even better than what I had dreamed up. Our fucking family kicks ass!â She quickly moved to her tip toes and kissed him. Groans and applause followed, and he couldnât think of a better way to spend a day.
Day 3 12/20 Christmas gift
He was an idiot. He didnât do things like this. She was going to hate it. Fuck!
He couldnât even blame anyone else. Heâd been walking around with the damn thing in his pocket for months. Waiting for the perfect time, waiting for the right moment.
Unfortunately, he had no clue what that meant. Itâs not like his parents were even married. And he knew better than anyone there is no sign from above that was going to come down and say, do it now. But he usually went with his gut so that was the plan. Wait for it to feel right.
He knew he wasnât like Shiro who planned everything down to what scent of candle he lit. He heard Katieâs parents' story, where Katieâs mom actually got tired of waiting for Mr. Holt to pop the question. She did the deed, which he couldnât imagine Katie doing. Then there was Hunk who planned an actual event just so he could pop the question. There were fireworks that Katie was in charge of, so he knew this was a big deal.
But none of those felt like them. He knew he wasnât adept at planning missions much less a proposal. He also knew that Katie would not want to be the center of attention at a gala or bar. But conversely, he also felt like she deserved to be. He hated when she tried to blend in the background when she was all he could see.
All of these previous events led up to the current plan that was created when the guys met up at the bar to discuss Christmas plans a few nights ago. The teasing naturally started when Lance announced in all seriousness that he needed to propose on NYE for him to win the pot. Keith got defensive. If it was easy, heâd have done it already. Shiro then started poking all while strategically plying him with drinks. As the night went on, he got more and more honest with his fears and what he wanted. His team as usual developed a plan.
Which is why he was sitting through a Holt Christmas dinner sweating and feeling scared. Katie kept looking at him with concern and her parents kept glancing at hi like he was hung over. Great impression. Matt however, looked like he was about to start video recording at any time. Shit.
If you asked Keith later, he would not be able to recall one thing said at dinner. He couldnât tell you what he wore, what he ate or even if he ate. In fact, the actual proposal was also a blur but luckily Matt was on pointe and recorded the whole proposal. Which he gleefully played every damn Christmas.
But Katie would say it was the best Christmas present until the birth of her son a few years ago. And thatâs all that matters to Keith.
FORGOT TO REPOST BUT THIS IS SO PRECIOUS!!!
Day 4 21 Winter holidays
Christmas was never Katieâs favorite holiday. She was more partial to Halloween cuz free candy and scary movies. Then there was the 4th of July cuz fireworks. Does she need to say more?
Christmas break was fun, but not the actual day. Her mom always wanted her in a frilly dress. Then there was the pre-holiday cleaning, post-holiday cleaning, and then, of course, the family obligations. Wear the ugly sweater. Go play with your cousins. Sit at the kiddie table. Donât correct your aunts or uncles when they say stupid things. The list goes on and on, but Katie absolutely hated it.
But today, she put that all out of her mind. Because Keith didnât have a favorite holiday. In fact, Shiro let it slip this was his first real Christmas in over ten years. And Kroliaâs first. She wanted him to feel the real magic. Which to her meant snow on Christmas day. So, since they didnât have snow hereâŚKatie began planning.
Hunk and Matt were quickly recruited. It wasnât like it wasnât possible because they had ski slopes, but what Katie wanted was a bitâŚmore. So they adjusted, tweaked, and improvised. Christmas morning, after presents, Katie excused herself and hit the button. Waited. And then loudly exclaimed, âOH MY GOSH! Krolia, Keith-come out here!â
Grinning madly, she waved her hands and finally pulled Keith to the middle of the lawn. The look on his face was worth all the sleepless nights and hard work. At some point, everyone was outside, and Lance and Hunk were having a snowball fight. Shiro and Matt were running around, sliding around like maniacs. Krolia was examining the snow like it was precious gold.
And Keith hugged Katie, âThank you.â
Katie pulled back, âWhat are you talking about this is a freak snowstorm that was caused by the alternating fronts of ~.â
Keith suddenly pulled her close, lowering his forehead to hers. âI love you. So much.â
Katie felt her face turn hot and muttered, âWell, you could give me a kiss if you, um, want.â
Keith whispers, âWell, I think the magic you created needs an equal magic like the law of âŚwell fuck, I donât know. How about we find a quiet place, and I can show you how much magic I have.â

Day 5: Chimney
The light and sweet sound of the wood burning inside the fireplace was relaxing while outside a dizzying storm hit and crept across the desert, dragging sand and a few pebbles with it. The technological and newly installed gas fireplace heated the house beautifully, giving a romantic and new atmosphere to the house. âClimate change is a strange thingâŚâ: Keith muttered under the warm white, red and green fur blanket: âAlmost thirty years I've lived here and I've never seen the thermometer drop below freezingâŚâ âYeahâŚâ: Pidge nodded, hugging and snuggling into him as much as possible, even though her bare feet were exposed: âApparently years ago when we took Honerva's Robeast out of Earth's atmosphere, the explosion still made worse the entire climate problem that had already worsened with the Galra occupationâŚ" âA big problem⌠will Garrison be able to get everything back to normal?â: he asked, with a hint of sarcasm in his tone. âIt depends⌠Will Katie Holt be able to solve everything since Garrison is now entrusting everything to her?â: she replied. âOh, rightâŚâ: He laughed: âYou really need a break, PidgeyâŚâ âDon't tell me about itâŚâ: she sighed, looking at the ceiling and playing with the wedding ring on her finger. This was Keith's shack, they had simply renovated it with plaster, bricks and more modern things before they got married, although they never would have thought that a snowstorm would come strong enough to blow away the walls if they were still there only made of wood. In fact, they both needed a little more comfort, even if some of the furniture, the sofa and the old mattress were the same as before. âLet's do it like thisâŚâ: he spoke, looking into her eyes and caressing her lips: âThis year for our anniversary I'll take you on a nice tripâŚâ âIn this weather?â: she giggled. âWell why not? I could pilotâŚ": he pointed out and she started laughing. âAnd where would you like to go?â: Pidge looked at him. âWell, in Europe they say it's still hotâŚâ: he said. "In December?" âThe weather is very crazy this yearâŚâ âYes, and where exactly did you want to go?â: She placed her hands on his chest, resting her chin on them in turn, listening to him with curiosity. âI don't know, maybe ParisâŚâ: Keith shrugged. "Paris? Okay⌠Sounds romanticâŚâ: she laughed. âYeah⌠Imagine⌠Our first trip to the land border outside of American territory⌠Just you and me, and no one elseâŚâ: he smiled. They had been married for almost 3 years now, and had waited to have children: they were a busy young couple with a difficult career, and although their sexual activity was active and healthy they had never taken the risk too far. They were still young, plus Pidge's new Commander was very strict on her and on work, and Kolivan didn't give Keith much slack on missions either, so they had talked about it and decided to wait until they were both more available . âIt seems so romanticâŚâ: she nodded. âIt's no coincidence that it's called the City of LoveâŚâ: he pointed out, causing her to giggle. âOkay⌠I can't wait to see the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, all of Paris!â: She exclaimed enthusiastically, but then she became serious again and looked at him: âBut the best thing is that you will be with meâŚâ

Day 4: Winter Holidays
(This is a Modern AU)
The Christmas holidays: a real break for students with the end of the first quarter. Katie sighed as she placed the large cup of hot black tea on the white saucer. She looked impatiently at the clock: four sixteen in the afternoon, she had been there for almost an hour now. Next to her, on the comfortable sofa with red cushions, her heavy canvas bag was still placed with notebooks and notes from the quarter inside. The beautiful bar door opened and a small bell rang while the sound of heavy rubber boots got closer and closer until it reached her with a wave of petrol and mint perfume. âSorry for the delay, there was a lot of traffic due to the snowâŚâ: the man smiled sheepishly, taking off his gray hat and red jacket: âI should have sent you a message, I know, it's my faultâŚâ âDon't worryâŚâ: Katie giggled: âThe important thing is that you're here, Keith..â He smiled. After the unfortunate events of last year they had stopped seeing or writing to each other, and now they had finally had the courage to talk about it. What had happened between them was just a misunderstanding, a bad joke and a bad mistake. The summer had been hell for both of them. âI just wanted to say that I'm sorry I didn't call you or⌠just hear from youâŚâ: she sighed, bringing the cup to her lips and taking a sip of the hot drink. âI didn't call you eitherâŚâ: he replied: âWe are equal in many aspectsâŚâ There was a brief pause in which neither of them could speak. Katie was casting her mind and memories back to the events of the past year, their effects and causes. They had been best friends throughout high school and middle school, and even when he dated Acxa in her junior year, breaking her little heart, she never betrayed their friendship. She had simply pretended nothing had happened; she had moved on with her life and her studies, also finding a kind and willing boyfriend to fill that void in her chest. All it took was some alcohol and a big Christmas party at Lance's house to make them sleep together, cheating on their partners at the same time. âHow did Acxa cope?â: she asked, finding any excuse to speak and interrupt that deafening silence. âWe argued, of course, but then everything went wellâŚâ: he replied, tapping his fingers nervously and slowly on the polished wooden table. âI'm happyâŚâ: she nodded: âJames and I broke upâŚâ That had no relevance, however it was right that he knew it too. Apparently he had caught them making out at the party and when Katie returned to the apartment they shared the next morning, the suitcases were already packed and ready by the door while the furniture was bare of all her things. âI've always hated that assholeâŚâ: Keith groaned, âYou have no idea how much I wanted to punch him when you told me you were datingâŚâ She bit back a small, amused smile, then cleared her throat. âWhat do you think we should do now?â She asked, playing with her fingers as he looked up at her for a moment. âWhat would you like to do?â: he asked in turn. âI don't know, become friends again and bury what happened? I don't think Acxa will be happy to know that I'm your best friend again after what happenedâŚ": she shook her head. âAcxa is not the problem, she and I decided to end our relationship a few months ago. Now she's with Veronica..â: he informed her. âOHâŚâ: she squeaked in surprise: âI'm sorryâŚâ âDon't be, we just talked calmly and came to the conclusion that everything was simply not as we had imaginedâŚâ: he explained. âAnd how would you have imagined it?â: she asked, daringly. âWith a special person who has always been next to me, but who I was so blind as not to see completelyâŚâ: Keith looked at her with a slight smile, devouring her through his eyes. âAre you saying that after years I can be with the person I've always loved?â: she asked, as he moved next to her. "It depends on youâŚ" Katie smiled. All of that was enough. She pulled him down for a kiss.

Day 3: Christmas gifts
Keith had lived in the desert his whole life, the only people he knew were his teachers or classmates before Shiro, so being welcomed and immersed in what they called Christmas cheer was strange to him. Living in the desert meant no snow, no Christmas tree, no presents after his father's death and very small, inexpensive things before that. That's why when Lance, after looking at the space calendar created by Pidge and Hunk, jumped on the spot noticing that we were close to Christmas, he certainly didn't waste time explaining everything to Coran and Allura. Both were very excited about the idea of celebrating an important Earth custom like that, in fact they immediately ran to the space mall to get some things.
âOkay guys! I want you with bags full of decorations and gifts!â: Lance had said, and in fact that's what Keith did. He had bought, well⌠stolen inexpensive items that he was sure would like, yet he felt ashamed when he saw others with two or three bags full of food, objects or decorations, when everything he had taken he had hidden in his large trouser pockets .
He watched the rest of the progress from afar, leaning against the wall or training. Sometimes he caught Hunk in the kitchen trying to create some space variation similar to Earth's Christmas desserts, other times he saw Pidge intent on genetically modifying some space plant in order to create a real Christmas tree, not to mention the fact that he often met in the corridors with Lance while he tried to hang something similar to mistletoe on the ceilingâŚ
All of this was so damn strange to him and⌠he felt somehow left out. Sure, the paladins were his family now, even if in Lance's case he had preferred they weren't, but in that moment everything and everyone seemed so distant. Sometimes Shiro would give him a quick check-up to see if he was okay, but each time it happened less and less, perhaps Lance was dragging him into the Christmas cheer that everyone was used to. Everyone except him.
Many times Keith had wondered that if his father hadn't thrown himself into that fire many years earlier, perhaps he would be different than he is now, or perhaps not. After all, with or without his father, he had grown up alone in the desert.
When he arrived that day, for a moment he felt like a ghost. Everyone got up with joy and started the celebrations right from breakfast. He sat on the other side of the table silently eating the strange sticky substance while on the other side laughter and the sound of tearing paper filled his silence. He got up immediately afterwards and headed towards the training room. He discovered that fighting made him feel good in a certain way: he felt alive and relaxed, perhaps this also had to do with the symbol on his mother's knife. The Altean gladiator descended from the ceiling and began deftly swinging its spear as he made the bayard appear in his hand, ready to dodge, defend or strike.
They didn't stop even when the door to the training room opened and a figure entered and then sat down on the cold floor near the wall.
âWhat do you want, Pidge?â: Keith asked annoyed, giving the robot another blow with his sword.
âI'm just here to give you something, you ran away before I couldâŚâ: she replied, showing a small red package in her hands.
He didn't respond, continuing to fight and then stepping back to keep his distance and give himself a few seconds' break.
âI'm pretty busy right nowâŚâ: he growled, lunging forward at the robot.
âDon't worry, I can waitâ: she replied with a shrug, watching the whole fight with interest.
Keith turned his gaze momentarily to look at her, and for a moment he wondered what was so interesting about a stupid fight. Well, obviously, Pidge was the green paladin, the most logical, curious and courageous: everything he saw, for her was a source of inspiration, a teaching and there was nothing that her sharp eyes couldn't perceive. That's why he was so attracted to her. Her decision-making ability, physical and mental strength, intelligence and tenacity made her an excellent companion in battle and a strong warrior.
When Keith finally brought the robot down with one last blow, he sat down next to her and she handed him the towel.
âThank youâ: he said, wiping his sweaty face.
âYou're welcomeâ: she smiled, then handing him the gift when he had finished: âFor youâŚâ
âOh⌠thank youâŚâ: he took it carefully, delicately tearing the decorated red paper with which the gift had been carefully packaged.
âI also wanted to tell you that you are not the only oneâŚâ: she looked into his eyes for a moment. He raised an eyebrow.
"Lance organized everything...": Pidge continued: "In my family we celebrate a different Christmas than the American one with huge parties, decorations everywhere, mistletoe..."
âOh, I seeâŚâ: he replied, focusing again on the package. When he removed the red paper, he slowly lifted the lid of the box and was surprised to see a knife carefully placed on a black pad. It was certainly made of a very precious and expensive metal and the hilt was made of leather and metal decorated with sumptuous floral embroidery.
âWowâŚâ: he admitted, taking it in his hand and checking the sharpness of the tip.
âI saw how fond you are of your knife, so I thought I'd give you another oneâŚâ: she said: âI know it's maybe not what you imagined, but you're always so introverted and it seemed difficult to find something suitable for youâŚâ
"Are you joking? It's perfect!â: He smiled. One of those few sweet and rare smiles.
âI'm glad I made the right choice, it was quite difficult to steal itâŚâ: she sighed: âThat Unilu was so careful about everything!â
âI have something for you too, Pidgeâ: he laughed, taking a small USB stick out of his pocket and handing it to her. Her eyes lit up as soon as she saw it.
âBut this is-?â: She exclaimed, stealing it from his hands: âI can't believe it! A USB stick! And it's a terrestrial model!!! Thanks Keith!â
She hugged him.

Kidge Winter Event 2023
Day 1-December 18: ice skating
âStop staring at me.â
âBut you hate winter. You hate the cold. I mean, youâre not even the biggest fan of nature. So how the hell are you this good of a skater?â
âShhh!â Pidge looked around and sure enough, Lanceâs loud voice was drawing attention. People were glancing their way. She could literally feel their eyes on her. And now she was feeling uncomfortable. She hated being the center of attention and can literally feel her face turning red. Feeling irritated she quickly skates off. Honestly, so what, she can skate, itâs not rocket science. Smirking she thought, no rocket science would be expected of her.
She keeps going around, picking up speed, it all the while ignoring Lance and thinking back to last year when she first met him and had a bit of a crush on him. Thank God she was over that. Now, she would consider him and Hunk her best friends. Smiling she canât help but think how much her life has changed over the last year. For the better too! She skipped two grades and was terrified that she would be a social pariah in high school.
Fortunately, that fear didnât come true. Instead, she was taking classes that actually challenged her and made her work. She had friends. Lance was super friendly and didnât get offended when she was awkward around him. Instead, he seemed to take it as a challenge! Every day, he said âHiâ, he initiated contact. It probably took a month of him talking to her in daily class for her to realize that he was being authentic. He actually wanted to be my friend.
Life was much better even if she was younger than her peers. She saw Hunk setting up the hot chocolate table and treats near the fire.
Suddenly, her feet were taken out from under her, she was hit, spun and facing the ground. Blinking she looked directly into anotherâs eyes. His eyes. The mullet. Lanceâs rival. He was under her. What the hell?
âSorry, Katie. We were shooting a puck around and someone lost control. It was headed your way and, â
âPidgey!! What the hell Keith! Are you okay?â Lance holds out his hand and grabs me by my armpits, pulling me up quickly. âYou good?â
Iâm trying to get my bearings and see the opposite side of the ice. They were playing hockey, and I can see Keithâs concern.
Axca skates closer, grabbing Keithâs arm and pulling him to her. âSorry lost control of that one! Câmon Keith. Letâs go.â
I blink, still trying to get my bearings. I look up and Keithâs gaze is solidly on me. He shakes off the arm and moves closer to me. âAre you ok? We landed a little hard, but I didnât think youâd hear me in time.â
His hands reach out and readjusts my hat and I feel his fingers lightly drift down my jawline. I blink. Iâve never been this close to our schoolâs bad boy.
âKeith?â
âUm, wanna, go and get some hot chocolate?â
I freeze, holy shit. Keith Kogane wants to hang out?
Unfortunately, I hear both Lance and Axca simultaneously yell our names in conjunction.
Keith, smirks, âYeah, câmon Katie, câmere with me.â
I feel my face flush but this time Iâm not embarrassed. Iâm intrigued. Iâm interested. Letâs go!

kidge winter event :
day 2Â : Christmas tree
Characters: Pidge/Katie holt , Keith Kogane, Kosmo
Pairing: Pidge and keith : kidge
post Season8, married kidge.
Keith had traveled from the desert to a snowy forest, driving for one hour, all to surprise his wife with a beautiful Christmas tree. The last time they went to buy a tree, she complained that artificial trees looked as bad as they smelled awful! So, he knew that she would appreciate it.
It didnât take him long to find the perfect tree. He quickly brought it home. Initially, he wanted to decorate it himself, but he thought sheâd enjoy decorating it with him, so he waited. For hours. His girl always left the Garrison after her shift for her personal projects. He waited for five hours, and she was supposed to finish an hour ago.
When she finally got home, she was greeted by her husband with a nice kiss.
Keith hugged her, saying, "Finally! You took your time!"
In response to his enthusiasm, she chuckled, "Hi! Looks like someone missed me?"
"I did, but thatâs not the subject⌠I have a surprise for you," he grinned.
"A⌠Surprise?"
"Follow me," he took her hand and led her to the living room, "There!"
The emotions on her face constantly changed.
"Keith..." She grabbed his arm, "Keith!? How? When? How?!" She was now shaking his arm, her eyes filled with stars.
"I was bored today, and I remembered how you hated our old tree last year⌠I wanted to make you happy, so I thought I'd get a new one," he gave her a gentle smile, "do you like it?"
"Do I like it? I LOVE IT!" She shouted excitedly.
"I thought that maybe we could decorate it together? You know, last year I wasnât able to do it with you, and obviously, you did great without me, but I thought that maybe it could be fun to do it together," he left a kiss on her forehead.
She looked up at him, "Letâs decorate that tree, NOW!"
He chuckled, and they quickly started decorating the tree. Like every year, they chose the same two colors: green and red. For two obvious reasons: these are Christmas colors, but most of all, these colors represent a huge part of their lives. As paladins, as friends, and as a married couple today.
"There! Finished!"
They both took a few steps back to admire their hard work.
"We did amazing!" Keith said, proud.
"Yeah, we did better than last year! We always do better when we do it together," she raised her hand for a high five, "Nice work, team."
He grinned, responding to the high-five, "Nice work."
After a moment of staring at each other, he was about to kiss her. BUT THEN, Kosmo teleported into the room and jumped on the tree, knocking half the decorations to the ground.
"KOSMO, NO!" Keith yelled, looking at all their work getting destroyed.
As an answer, Kosmo simply yawned, took a Christmas ornament, and teleported away.
The both of them shared a desperate glance before Pidge smiled.
"Looks like weâll have to do it again⌠but not now⌠How about we order pizzas and start again or later, or tomorrow?" As she spoke, she gave him a quick and light punch on the shoulder.
"But⌠Our tree⌠And all of our work⌠I have to teach that wolf to stop teleporting wherever he wants like that..." He sighed, slightly angry.
"Donât worry⌠We had fun decorating together; I really enjoyed doing it, and I bet you did too⌠So at least, we get to do it again and to spend more time together! What do you think?" She had a bright smile that was contagious⌠Too contagious. He smiled back.
"Alright, weâll do it again⌠But heâs not destroying our second tree, though! I went far to get that one!" He growled.
"No worries, weâll make sure that he wonât destroy it⌠Now, can you order the pizzas, please? Iâm starving..."
"Alright." He smiled as she walked towards the bathroom.
At the end of the day, he didnât care about doing that tree every day⌠As long as it was with her.

Day 2: Chrismas tree/ Jacket
Pidge opened the dusty cardboard box, taking a cloth and dusting the small Christmas baubles and decorations. Not far from her, Keith was busy decorating the green, symbolic pine tree with adorable fairy lights. âAre you really sure? Green and red?â: he looked at her, and she responded with a simple amused look. âThe question is why not? They are the colors of our original lionsâŚ": she shrugged her shoulders amused: "I mean, it's become a family tradition now!" She waved her wedding ring finger proudly and Keith couldn't feel happier in that moment. After spending the last eight years as engaged couples, he managed to take some courage out of her last year, finally putting that ring on her finger. âAnd your family traditions?â: He laughed at her, looking at her. âI'm a Kogane now, Kogane, the Holts are a thing of the pastâŚâ: she joked, blowing on a particularly dusty decoration. âI'm sorry to disappoint you but my father didn't have any Christmas traditionsâŚâ: he sighed, taking the small group of baubles that she had just finished dusting and decorating the tree. âWell⌠Traditions have to start from someone, right?â: she asked, with a tone as if it were more a reasoning said aloud or a question for herself. He chuckled as she hung some baubles, alternating red and green ones with some small branches or gold accents. After all, it was almost Christmas. âNo no no! There are too many red ones!â: she shook her head, pointing at the entire tree with her index finger. âBut I hung all the balls you gave meâŚâ: Keith snorted. âOf course, because Kosmo broke the others last yearâŚâ: she replied, pointing to the space wolf who was calmly lying on the large white sofa looking at the thick snow. Theirs was a relatively large house: an open space with kitchen, living room and dining room with a wall covered in glass so they could see the bush that surrounded it not far from the Garrison, while upstairs there was a small study, a laboratory and two bedrooms. Furthermore, Keith had insisted on having a huge underground garage. âNever mind, it means we'll buy moreâŚâ: he shrugged his shoulders, whistling at Kosmo who raised his head. âNow?!â: she stood up, looking at him in surprise: âWould you like to go out for some Christmas decorations in a snowstorm?!â âWhy not?â: he chuckled, while she rolled her eyes. âBecause even though we are married, this house is registered in my name, which means that whoever is in here is under my power and controlâ: she crossed her arms over her chest: âPut simply, you are not going thereâ âI need more if you want me to stayâŚâ: he chuckled, looking her up and down. âOkay!â: she blushed, snorting. âYou have to pick me up to put the star on, I can't reach itâŚâ He laughed at her seeing her like that. Every time she admitted something so embarrassing, especially if it involved her height, her cheeks would turn that red that always made him laugh. âOkayâŚâ: he nodded, picking her up bridal style and carrying her back to the living room. He let go of her so she could reach for the large gold star, but when he took it back, Pidge let out a small cry of surprise as he placed her on his back over his shoulders. âKeith, you asshole!â: She swats her feet hitting his chest. "What's up? Do you like the view from up there?â: he teased her while she sighed. And then, she placed the star on the tree.
One of my family's traditions is to have the tree decorated every year with different colors or combinations. This year I proposed red and green as colours, but my mother didn't like it at all⌠Never mind, I'll try next yearâŚ

**********************************
It was the Paladins' first winter since the end of the war, and the team decided to embrace the season with open hearts. The cold air and the freezing wind of December were welcome sensations, offering a stark contrast to the memories of battles and heated struggles that defined their recent past.
The team made their way to the forest, traversing the snowy landscape until they reached a lake, now hidden beneath a light blanket of snow. The lake, frozen solid, reflected the winter sunlight, inviting the Paladins to partake in the season's timeless traditions.
Already, a few people were scattered across the ice, engaged in various winter activities. The Paladins were of course excited and laced up their skates quickly. Pidge, ever enthusiastic, couldn't contain her excitement as she took the first steps onto the frozen lake.
It had been so long since the last time she had done that. She took a look around, contemplating the snowy trees... But then, she noticed that one of her friends was missing on the lake. She looked for Keith and finally, found him on the side of the ice... She skated and stopped right in front of him:
"Why are you statying there?.."
"Well, I huh... Don't really know how to skate..." He admitted with a sigh.
"It's ok! It's easy; I'll teach you," she called, her voice carrying a mix of encouragement and playfulness.
Keith hesitated for a moment, his eyes fixed on the unfamiliar expanse of ice. He cautiously stepped onto the frozen surface, feeling the chill seeping through the soles of his shoes.
Pidge, the self-appointed skating instructor, glided gracefully across the ice, demonstrating the art of skating. "See, just like this," she said, effortlessly skating backward, her movements reflecting both skill and joy.
"Your turn now!" She grabbed his hand, "one foot and then the other... And then you keep your balance like this!" She smiled at him.
They started skating together and as they did , he was gaining confidence... Maybe too much because after a wrong foot placement, he fell on the ground, leading her to fall with him.
After a long moment of silence, the both of them started to laugh loudly before to get back on their feet and keep skating around the lake.
Meanwhile, on the sidelines, Lance, Allura, Hunk, and Shiro observed the scene, their faces breaking into smiles at the sight of Keith and Pidge. Lance nudged Allura, a mischievous twinkle in his eye.
"Looks like the Blades of Marmora have met their match on the ice," Lance teased.
Allura chuckled, "Indeed, Lance. They do make an adorable pair, don't they?"
Hunk and Shiro joined the conversation, both amused by the unfolding scene.
"I never thought I'd see Keith falling on his butt," Hunk said with a grin.
Shiro nodded, "Well, it seems like even the Paladins need a break. And who would've thought that Keith and Pidge would be the ones to show us that?"
Kidge winter event
Day 1: Ice skating
Every large city during the Christmas period begins to wake up from the cold and sad autumn, just as the yellow and orange leaves fade away, all the streets are filled with a warm atmosphere of joy and lights. In the evening the shop windows, streets and decorations light up while families, couples, teenagers and children stroll with packages in hand and smiles on their faces. New York was covered in snow, and everyone seemed so happy and carefree at the idea of celebrating the first Christmas after the end of the war. One couple in particular, however, were trying to keep a low profile, dodging other people and walking with some haste, and when they arrived at the closed gate of a public park, one took the large duffle bag off his shoulders and gave it to the figure smaller next to him.
âKeith, I swear to God if we end up in prison for any of your stupid shit that you didn't do in your teenage years I'm going to stop hanging out with you!â the girl growled, looking around to make sure they weren't seen.
âYou sound so legal, but I'm not the one who illegally signed up to a military space base, Katieâ: he sneered, climbing over the fence and landing on his feet on the other side. She tossed him the duffle bag, which fell to the ground with a silent clang on the snow.
âYes, but that's not why Shiro invited us hereâŚâ: she grumbled, taking one last look around before climbing over and following him. Shiro, after declaring that he was engaged to Curtis, bought a large penthouse in the center of New York, which now housed all the paladins including Coran and Romelle. According to him it was a way to meet again and maintain the bond as long as possible after the departure of the lions.
âOkay, but honestly, what are we doing here?â: she asked, adjusting her scarf and shivering at the gust of wind.
"Ice-skating"
"Ice-skating?"
He nodded.
âBut what if you don't even know how to skate?!â: she laughed.
âIndeed, but at least everyone will think that we went to the legal track, and not on a frozen lakeâŚâ: he smirked, holding her hand and dragging her through the light snow-covered bush up to a point where the snow left room for a flat ice field.
âYou're smart, you know?â: Pidge smiled, looking him in the eyes: âYou gave everyone a false lead so Lance and Romelle won't know where we areâŚâ
âDo you see that sometimes I think?â: he smiled, sitting down on the snow and taking two pairs of ice skates out of his bag. As soon as they had them at their feet, she began to move to gain confidence by doing a few laps around the perimeter from the pond, while Keith remained sitting next to her watching her move with all that elegance.
âAre you going to stay here and watch me from behind all night or will you come here with me?â: she laughed, approaching slowly.
âThe view from here is very beautifulâŚâ: he smiled, standing up and trying to gain balance. As she had said he didn't know how to skate; How could he have learned in the middle of the desert? She helped him, pulling him up gently, then intertwining their fingers. Pidge continued to guide him, showing him how to bend his knees and move his feet. After years of war in which he was leader, Keith finally let himself be carried away by someone else's orders and advice.
When he was finally able to skate slowly without that attention, they remained with their hands clasped as they were transported by the cold mist into their immense solitude. She let out a gasp when he surprised her by whirling around almost knocking them both over, wrapping his arms around her hips as he pulled her into a passionate kiss.
There they were alone: just two hot bodies making fiery sparks, ready to explode. They were alone there. There they could just screw it all and show themselves for what they were. They had wasted too much time hiding their love from the whole world.
âYou have no idea how long I've waited for thisâŚâ: she smiled, her cheeks and nose slightly pink from the cold.
âMe tooâŚâ: he replied, dragging her into another kiss. They remained there for many moments warming themselves with their bodies pressed next to each other's, exchanging fiery kisses. They were interrupted only by the sight of blue and red flashes shining in the night and reflecting off the ice and snow.
âI saw them climbing over here!â: they heard a man grumble: âIt must be those usual thugs who deface the walls!â
âI think we have to run nowâŚâ: Keith whispered, taking her hand and letting her accompany him to the shore.
âI can't believe that if they reach us I'll end up in prison because of Keith Kogane!â: she snorted in amusement, quickly taking off her ice skates and putting her boots back on.
âHey, you two!â: shouted a stout and chubby looking man in a uniform. They both laughed as they stood up, starting to run away.

Shine
(A kidge fic)
Keith always liked looking at the stars. When he was younger, he'd stay up, gaze at the stars, make up names for them, and hope to see them up close one day. Now, older and having seen thousands of stars, the magic of stargazing had faded.
But when Shiro suggested stargazing on the Garrison roof, Keith agreed. A week after the Garrison hospital, they were allowed some fresh air.
The paladins gathered on the roof, chatting, laughing, and as night wore on, one by one, they left. Only Keith and Pidge remained.
As Lance and Hunk left, Keith turned to Pidge. "Aren't you going to sleep?"
"Nah, not yet," she yawned. "You?"
"Nope. But why don't you sleep if you're tired?"
"Why do you think I'm tired?" Pidge turned toward him.
"You just yawned."
"Well, I might be a bit tired, but even if I am, I can't sleep. Once I hit the pillow, my head gets filled with thoughts, and I end up working on my projects until I fall asleep. So going to bed now is unnecessary; I'm not exhausted enough for that."
"Hmm, I see." Keith turned toward her again. "What kind of things come to your mind when you're trying to sleep?"
"Various things, really." She lay down on the cold roof, gazing at the stars.
"Ah." Keith lay down next to her, his gaze also traversing from one star to another. They remained in that comfortable silence. It had been a long time since they had been alone together, a bit too long for both of them.
"I remember how beautiful the stars used to be when I was younger. I'd stare at them with my telescope for hours," she sighed. "Matt used to tell me everything about them, and then we would imagine stories and give them names. I miss that time."
"Right? I used to stargaze a lot too. I always felt like there was something more to it, as if Earth wasn't my home after all. But now that we've discovered a big part of the universe, I don't really know anymore. Stars don't amaze me as much as they used to."
"I get it. I feel the same. But still, stargazing is amazing. It remains pretty relaxing, and I'm pretty sure I'll fall asleep any minute now." She yawned, closing her eyes.
"It is pretty nice." Keith turned toward her to discover that she had fallen asleep. "Geez, you can't sleep in your bed, but you're able to fall asleep on the ground or basically anywhere that is not your bed."
He sat and smiled. To him, it was cute. She was cute. Seeing her sleep so peacefully gave him that strange feeling in his chest.
"You know, you're the prettiest star. I wish I could tell you this when you're awake."
In response, Keith heard only a soft snore. He sighed and, finally, took her in his arms to carry her back to her room.
And the stars, present throughout the entire scene, would keep his secret forever.
A/N: sorry I took long to answer that prompt! Btw, I you have other prompts for me, my ask box is always there!!đĽ
