Description: You need some time away from your Dad and Phil. Luckily for you, you know a place open for visitors constantly. (Platonic Tommy x Reader)

{γβγ}
The rain seemed to pick up as you flew away from your dad's house. The rain got heavy, heavier than you could safely fly in, as you got closer and closer to the main area of the Dream SMP.
You pulled your wings close to your body and started a quick descent towards the ground, eyes dead set on one block. Only a few feet above the ground, with the wind whipping past you, you snapped your wings out and you landed to a minor stumble over the prime path.
Tommy's hotel stood, looming in front o you. The bright red walls stained a darker red as the rain hit every second. You took a deep breath in, solidifying your resolve before you started towards the door. It was unlocked, opening and inviting you to spend a night. It was certainly better than spending the night outside in the rain.
An android sat at the reception, staring right at you unblinking with its very adorable racoon ears twitching softly. They gave you a very robotic version of a smile, nodding politely. "WELCOME TO THE TOMMYINNIT HOTEL. WOULD YOU LIKE TO GET A ROOM?"
You nod, looking over the hotel for the first time. Your dad had told you before to stay away and you had listened, ignoring every piece of mail inviting your family to go over. But nowhere you were, for the first time going against your father's explicit directions because you felt... confused? Concerned, even. You weren't entirely sure what you were feeling besides anxious.
What if Tommy took one look at you and told you to leave and never come back. He wouldn't, you knew he wouldn't. But what if?
Tommy's head poked out from the floor, his eyes over the edge just enough for you to spot the glittering blue. Your heart stops for a second, terrified. "...Y/N?"
"TomTom," You blurted before you could, using that silly nickname you made up when you were kids. Your wings puffed up around you just thinking back to those days. "Hey..."
Tommy climbed out of the floor, which was really just a small entrance to a basement now that you could see. His face was more bruised than you remembered, blotched over his nack and face. His smile is more of a smirk, a fond lift to the edges. "TomTom? You haven't called me that since you were 8. "
You laughed at your own mistake, finding it amusing how Tommy thinks he was better. "Yeah? Remember when you called me Chip every day."
Tommy cringed, the memories of his adorable babbling about you being a cookie came back to him. Those four years were amusing to everyone except him, apparently. He shook the memories off and quirked his head at you. "That's not important right now. Why are you here?"
You shrugged a bit awkwardly, trying not to drag your slightly wet wings on the floor.Β "I thought it'd be nice to finally spend a night here. You opened it a few weeks ago, right?"
"Close enough." Tommy shrugged, looking away from you. Tommy mumbled something so you leaned closer to hear him. "...didn't think...Β come..."
"What?"
"I didn't think anyone would come," Tommy admitted louder, shuffling his feet in place. "I mean, Techno and Phil have been avoiding me like the plauge so I thoughtβ ya know?"
You inhaled a bit sharply, biting your cheek. "They don't know I'm here. Dad would probably have my head if he found out. And... I was. Going to avoid this place, I mean. But things change and I, well, I missed you."
Tommy turned his head away, his shoulders shaking. For a second you though he was going to start yelling and fighting. But then he started laughing, a bit hysterical and wet and trembling. He was crying, you realized as he wiped at his tears desperately.
"I'm sorry," he choked out. "Its just, I feel like since I've came back that no one even cares. But you're heβre and... I'm sorry I'm just being stupid."
You crooned sadly, your wings ruffling to shake off water before you pulled a wing over Tommy. He relaxed back into your wing, pressing a hand to the feathers hesitantly. You warbled soothingly, pressing your wing closer to him. The urge to care, to heal, to protect your human, your family, your flock, it was strong and you could barely stop yourself from preening his hair.
"No, no... I'm sorry I didn't visit sooner." You said, leaning your forehead against his shoulder. You wrapped another wing around Tommy and let out a shaky breath. "Dad's gone crazy protective after you left. Almost had to fight him to let me visit Tubbo as much as I do."
Tommy laughed dryly, leaning against you. "That sounds like Techno. Even when we were kids he hardly let us do anything without him with us, remember?"
You let out an exaggerated groan. "He was the absolute worst. Remember when he'd follow us around school thinking no one saw him and we got called into the office because they thought he was stalking us?"
Tommy laughs at the memory. That village lasted about a year before you guys were on the road again. Going to school there wasn't the worst, but they certainly weren't like the nicer villagers near Hypixel's hub.
Tommy goes silent, staring at a random spot in the hotel, lost in thought. Quietly, he asks you. "Does Techno everβ does he miss me? I mean, I know I betrayed him and I'mβI am sorry about that but..."
"He wouldn't say it, but I know he does." You say back, just as softly. "You were close to him, Toms. You still are. You're his brother. Nothing, not even the war, could change that."
He sniffs, shaking his head softly. "Look at you, acting all grow 'n shit. Just yesterday you were all snotty and whiny about sleeping with your favourite blanket." He laughs wetly, resting his head against yours. "When did everything go to shit..."
"I dunno," You say, closing your eyes. "I don't know."

Description: Knowing the king can come with a few benefits, and also a few stresses. (Eret x m!Reader)
[Read the rest under the cut]
{γβγ}
Dean knits the yarn between his fingers as you talk, more than happy to rest his legs over your chest. You hang off of his hospital bed, "So Spencer decided to actually talk to Derek, right? But apparently, Derek had gotten with Savannah, the medic lady."
"Derek is stupid, Spencer is amazing," Dean frowns, still the same kid who'd follow Spencer around like a duckling when he was younger. "Isn't Savannah the one who makes the bad eggnog?"
Right, that incident left a permanent mark on your brother. Dean loves eggnog and for Savannah to make it so horribly permanently tarnished her name in his eyes.
"How have the doctors been recently," You fiddled with the end of the scarf Dean had been knitting. "I heard they're close to a cure."
Dean shrug, awkwardly ducking his head. "They haven't told me much, just that they're starting testing and it's going well."
"That's good," You reach up to brush a finger against his cheek. "You know Mom would be so proud of you. I'm so proud of you."
"I know," Dean says, leaning into your palm. He didn't remember your parents but his eyes got all shiny whenever you brought them up. "Can you call off today?"
"I wish I could," You sigh, slumping back against the bed. "But just because I got the promotion doesn't mean they can't take it away. Calling off during the first week wouldn't help."
Dean frowns, pouting as he continues his scarf. "Will you visit tomorrow?"
"Of course, bud," Standing tall, you leaned over to press a kiss to your brother's forehead.
{γβγ}
You fix the straps on your arms, pulling the iron armour tighter around you. Something about being a permanent guard for the king- for Eret- was nerve-wracking. Kori and Raven were fixing their own armour behind you, joining you on your shift. It was nice to hang out with them, as teasing as they were.
Oh, the teasing. Even since your little breakfast date with Eret, none of Eret's Eight have stopped poking fun at it. Light-hearted, of course, but still embarrassing.
You press your lips together, trying not to let the thought of Eret break your carefully crafted aloofness. You pull a strap too tight, the metal digs into your arms but it's bound to loosen more so you don't bother fixing it.
Kori and Raven are already out the door, with months of practice in the complex straps and with the efficiency to prove it. They wait for you at the door, Kori blowing their bubblegum up loudly.
"Is Sara still waiting for us?" You walk over quickly, careful not to trip over yourself. You've done it before and let me tell you, standing in full iron armour is hard. Your sword is sheathed at your side for quick access but Kori and Raven don't seem bothered to do the same.
"Nah, she always heads out a bit early on Saturdays," Raven nudges Kori with a matching grin. "She has to meet with her secret loverboy."
"Or lover girl," Raven laughs, running a hand through their spiked up black hair. "I know Sara isn't one to discriminate."
"Oh don't try teasing when she isn't here," Kori shakes their head with a grin. "Not when (Y/N) right here is free ammo."
"I hate both of you." You hide your smile by walking away, still a bit put off by the idea of Eret being unprotected.
The pretty walls of the castle greet you pleasantly, warm and just as cosy as before. You love the feeling of being in these walls, it reminds you of the childhood home you and Dean used to live in before you sold it.
Quickly, Kori and Raven catch up with you. Together you speed up and are standing at the door to Eret's council room. Last you had been told, he had been in a meeting with a few of the other kingdoms. It sounded far more important than you felt comfortable protecting, but it's not like you had a choice.
Fixing your armour, the metal still digs into your arm. it's slightly more grounding than it is painful. You're glad something can keep your heart from racing as fast as it could. You already feel it almost ripping out of your chest with anxiety. It's only been a few days since you last saw Eret and still, you're smitten lovesick.
Kori walks into the room without any precaution. He is confident and you anxiously follow after him. Raven closes the door behind you all.
"Goodmorning, your majesty," Kori says with an actually acceptable amount of respect. You've never heard him call Eret his real title. It's an odd thing to actually consider after so long. You follow in his footsteps though, not sure if there are actual rules. "My King,"
Eret looks absolutely heavenly. His hair is curled around his face, a golden circlet in place of his crown today. The cape he is warning fluffs up around his neck, dragging your eyes across his jawline.Β He smiles, just as sweet and lovely as you've grown accustomed to. "Goodmorning, Kori, Raven, (Y/N)."
Quickly, you step into place at his side. Kori standing at his back while Raven takes his left side. There are royalty and emissaries scattered around the room. They give you an odd glance before they seem to suddenly forget you're even there. Honestly, it's a relief to not have to hold yourself up straight in their eyes.
"I'm glad we could agree on this," Eret says, continuing from when he paused. "I don't think it'd be in our best interest to attack L'Manburg while it's still so young and flighty."
"Then that's where we disagree," A noble lady, the one who runs the capital of Aeothet, says. "The only reason we have suggested a temporary peace is only that our kingdom has been struggling with the loss during the war, we care not for that false nation."
Eret's eyes flash with something dangerous, something that has you readying your sword in case he needs your help. "If I remember correctly, Lady Anastasia, your city started very much the same as President Soot's, did it not?"
Her face flashes with something mildly bitter, "We did not dishonour ourselves enough to break away like that foolish president did. This land is blessed good fortune by Prime."
"And theirs by Lady Death," Eret leans forward with a cold smile. "Or were you not aware the lineage of President Soot, son of Lady Death and her Angel. So long as she breathes life into her son, she breathes luck into their lands."
"Very well," Lady Anastasia exhales heavily, sepia hand pressed to her cheek and covering her mouth. "We leave their land alone, they shall rot from the inside either way."
Eret doesn't even bother smiling now, looking right into her eyes as the silence lingers. You tuck your sword back in your sheath, looking at his thin-pressed lips and glancing back up. Your king turns his head to look at you and the tension drains from their shoulders, his lips perked into a small smile. "Continue with your border update."
"Of course, your majesty," Lady Anastasia said slowly. "The Badlands have been building closer to the East border than comfortable and with L'Manburg's recent independence they're closer than ever."
"Badboyhalo knows an attempt on our land, especially so close to the end of the war is risky," Eret hums, surprisingly lax with the thought. "We don't have to worry. He's smarter than that."
"Of course," Lady Anastasia bows before taking her seat. You glance over at Eret and find him deep in thought, frowning down at his clasped hands.
{γβγ}
"That was so stressful," You complained to Raven after the meeting ended. Eret stood in front of you but you could see the smile at your misery. he tried hiding it but at this point the betrayal was public. "I can't believe you're all making fun of me. Those people are scary."
"They couldn't hurt a fly here," Kori waved his hand around, coming to a stop in front of Eret. "We've got this place protected better than Lord Dream protects George."
You shake your head, trying not to smile. "I suppose that's true, but it's still nerve-wracking when they look at you."
"Just don't look back, pretend that you're a statue with sentience trying to not let anyone know you can move," Raven wiggles their fingers at you, undeterred by the lack of reaction you give. "Or you can just ignore them regularly but that's boring."
"Or," Eret starts, blinking rapidly at Raven, "You can find something else to look at. You can stare at some of the paintings in the rooms or look out a window, when I was a kid I used to stare at the garden for so long I memorized where the leaves fell during the fall and how long it took for the water to freeze over."
"Oh don't worry, Eret," Kori throws their arm over your shoulder. "He's already got someone to stare at."
You roll your eyes. "C'mon, Eret, you should eat dinner before your next meeting."
Eret steps over to you, taking your hand in theirs easily. "Alright." His hand is cold but you've never felt more comfortable.
Kori and Raven follow behind you guys with matching grins.
Food is made quicker than you could recite the entirety of the bee movie, Eret already pouring a second drink for you. It's become a bit of a dance between the two of you to see how much he can get you to eat before you stop him.
So far, the highest record is still the first breakfast you two ate together.
Kori and Raven pour themselves their own glasses of lemonade, standing closer to the table than the doors. You can't hear them well but you're sure Kori's saying something stupid.
"I was wondering what you do in your free time," Eret asks to break up an idle moment. They place their glass down so gently it doesn't clink. "I know that Sara likes to go to those monster-fighting cages and Stephen enjoys the parkour parks but I've never asked you."
"I hang out with my little brother," You babble fondly about Dean. He's the only family you have left and you'd do anything for him, though not without making sure he experiences classic sibling embarrassment. "He's incredible. Dean reads a lot and he makes these adorable scarves and he's so incredibly smart."
"I didn't know you had a little brother," Eret smiles, eyes all crinkly at the edges. He tilts his head, leaning forward. "What's his favourite animal?"
"Polar bears, he says they're the strongest type of bear and that no other animal could defeat them." You laugh, remembering the debate he held against the nurses about the best type of animal. You personally went with Emus, an endangered animal in the Savannah biomes near desserts. "He once told me my opinion on animals was valid but wrong."
Eret chuckles with you, leaning ever so close with his chin resting on his hand. "I'm curious what he'd think about Flamingo's."
You shrug, not remembering the topic ever coming up. "I'm sure he'd find something wrong with them that Polar Bears are better at."
Eret offers a cut piece of steak to you, which you accept easily. Being so close still makes your heart stutter but he looks so good up close that you can't help yourself lingering a second.
"I can't see him tomorrow since my shift runs so long so I'm hoping that when I see him on Saturday it's before he needs his vest, he always naps after," You fuss with the fork, remembering the days before the hospital, he had once slept so long he missed dinner. You had made an extra big breakfast to make up for it but he still complained about it so much.
"Vest?"
"It's for his illness, the doctors haven't named it but he's had it since he was a baby." You poke at a piece of steak before you pick it up. "It causes all kinds of trouble with his body. Lung issues, memory issues, hearing impairment. The doctors think they're close to a cure but it's still a rather small problem for most people, funding is hard."
Eret frowns, laying his fork down on the plate. He fiddled with his fingers, thinking deeply about something. "I'm sorry to hear about that."
"It's okay, it's better than nothing," You shrug. When your parents died, you would have been weeping for a chance to "fix" your brother. Older, not as stupid in grief, you realize there was never anything broken. Your brother's life is hard and he deserves the best in life, that is why it's important. If you had to pay for his treatment forever, you still would. And if they're close, you can still wait a few more years. "Dean is strong. No matter what happens, he'll make it."
"If there's anything I can do to help," Eret starts, fiddling with his fingers. It's odd to see him so anxious and embarrassed. "I want to help you and your brother, (Y/N)."
You smile, brushing your hand over his. "That's kind but we're not the only ones going through this. I'd rather help the funding for everyone than just my family."
"Okay," Eret says like it's just that easy. And for him it is. His kingdom is overflowing with riches, a treasury full of diamonds and emeralds and gold. As king, he can do what he wants. Good for you, romancing (marrying π³?) rich. "I can donate as much as needed for the cure."
His eyes look into yours, staring for something validating and sweet. As if you'd be anything less than in love with those beautiful blue eyes. "Thank you, my Eret,"
"Your Eret," he mutters back, leaning so close that your noses brush.

[Okay in my defence for so many Eret posts recently. . . I like Eret?]
[So I'm going to be doing something that you'll find out about real soon but before that, tomorrow, I'll post another chapter of Distance and then post Secret TM and then get back to my request list before anything else (might be a lie who knows)]
[I have finals in December and am Panic but will still be posting because nothing can stop my Super Simp December (does anyone remember Super Simp September last year?) So I promise I won't drop off the face of the earth yet (: ]

β€ Little Flame
[2900+]
[he/him pronouns]
Description: The demonic kingdom of Ouphara is your home, as the prince should know no other. But now that home is full of a bunch of stuffy old humans. You'll tolerate them though, only because your precious twin flame BadBoyHalo is with them. (Badboyhalo x male reader)
[Read the rest under the cut]
{γβγ}
You lounge across your older sisters bed, her annoying highness sitting at her dresser as she applied some of the human makeup she recently took a liking to.
"I don't get why we even need to host the festival when we could've had one at the overworld like we usually do." You said, vocally complaining as you have been for the last half hour.
"The council said a festival would help human relations. We want them as allies, remember." She put extra emphasis on 'allies'.
"Besides," she adds on. "Your Twin Flame will he there, is he not? Sir Halo?"
You brighten up instantly, remembering your little flame's letter about coming to visit. He even provided his dressing colours, to match. "He is. Arriving with the humans and leaving a day after the Archangels." Exactly 13 days.
Your sister nodded in approval. Anna and Bad had always had an odd and complicated relationship, leaning towards hate-filled respect for one another. You aren't very sure when or how it started, just that it did. If Bad hadn't stayed at least a week, Anna would use it as an excuse to ban him from the kitchen for his entire life.
"Now, Y/N, when the humans get here you'll be on your best behaviour, you hear me?" She very much threatens you. Then in a quieter but still warning tone, she whispers. "We don't want a repeat of your 7th Circle dance when you-"
"I will literally choke you in your sleep, αβββΈ Μ£ β!Β‘ Anna!" You yell, your eyes shine with magic even if you'd never actually hurt her.
Anna rolls her eyes, (e/c) just like yours and just like your mothers were. She stands with practised grace, smoothing out wrinkles on her suit. It's one of your mother's old ones, her favourite at one point if you recall correctly.
"Both the humans and the Nephilim should be arriving soon." Anna reminds you. "So hurry down unless you want to miss your little flame."
You fall back against the bed as she leaves, mind filled with ideas of how your reunion could go. He'll walk through the entrance in his dazzling suit with his charming and shy smile and you'll be waiting there for him. Bad would run up to you, his beautiful smile spread wide over his face. When you lean down, pressing your horns together and sharing your flames for the first time in months.
You almost trilled in delight at the thought.
The idea spurred you to dress quicker, excited for your reunion. You hurried past servants who nodded in respect before you left.
You could feel him getting closer, but so was another, smaller, piece of his flame. In the body of another, vaguely human body.
You floated down the stairs, tucking your wings under your cloak. Your sister was already there, greeting early arrivals with an easy smile.
You bounced on your heels, glancing over the shoulder of every person you greeted. Bad and his mini were close, close enough that you should've been able to see him already. He was shorter than you but not that short.
Anna gives you a 'suck-to-suck' look over a diplomats shoulder as you pout. But then she starts grinning. With an amused smirk, she nods to something behind you.
You turn around and see a human-sized Bad walking through the main entrance.
Shrinking wasn't something you usually (or at all) did but if Bad wanted to be tiny you'd play along. You may be a bit enthusiastic about throwing your human-sized self at Bad but he catches you anyway.
"Wha-?" Your little flame was so confused it was adorable.
"Little flame," You trill happily. Knocking your hornless head against his is odd in human form but you hope it still holds the same meaning. "I've missed you!"
Even in human form, you are taller than him, leaning down so that he can knock heads back. Your darling twin flame pulls away after a second, looking over at a tiny gaggle of humans who watch you two with odd eyes.
A tiny human, albeit taller than Bad, was the one who held a piece of Bad's flame. They wore a white headband and a shirt with a flame on it. They looked young with scrappy bits of hair on their jaw.
You gasped, immediately realizing what it meant. You warble excitedly, a strange noise from a human body you're sure, and head to them. They step back but cannot stop your hugging abilities.
"A nestling! Oh, how adorable~!" You cooed, keeping your face soft and comforting. You turn to Bad, your nestling safely tucked into your wing.
He sighs fondly, waving a hand at the humans who had drawn their weapons. "Y/N drop Sapnap."
"But- he's our nestling! A baby flame!" You whined, scratching at your nestling's hair. They melt into it, leaning onto you heavily.
"Sapnap is an adult in human years, Y/N." Bad tries. When he sees it got him nowhere, he tries again. "And he hasn't eaten so if you don't let him go, he can't eat. Then you'll be hurting him."
You squawk in protest, instantly letting your nestling go. Sapnap stumbles back, blinking like an upset child. He looks like he'll try to stumble back over to you before he seems to shake it off.
"What... was that?" A masked human asks. He looks as young as your nestling... "Who are you?"
Bad steps over to you, knocking your heads together briefly. They have a small, shy smile, the one you love so dearly. "This is Y/N, he's my, oh what's the human word... um, soulmate? Yes! Y/N is my soulmate!"
They all seem to blink at the news. Then Sapnap, 'your nestling,' a part of you cooed, starts smiling widely.
"You actually exist!" He laughs. "I thought Dad was just crazy for a while but you're actually real!"
Then he pauses, his face going soft. "So... You're my... other dad? PatΓ©r? Baba?"
"You can call me whatever you'd like, baby flame." You may intentionally soothe them with your flame. A nestling's instinct calm near their blood flames. Sapnap is like putty, slinking over to your side slowly.
"Y/N!" Bad yells, startling people around you.
You pout, pulling back. The humans seemed to feel it too and shook it off slowly. "Can we head to the kitchen now? Baby Flame needs to eat."
Bad glances at the rest of the humans. "We have to bring all of my friends."
You frown. Your nestling nods along though so you sigh. "Okay, bring the humans along. But they can't touch anything."
"We won't." The masked one promises. They glare back at a tiny blond and an even tinier goat boy. "Ranboo keep an eye on the other two."
That isn't very reassuring.
You brush it aside, holding hands with Bad. They silently link your fingers together. You offer your flame to him, ready to share in its sacredness even if only for a second.
Bad glanced back at the humans who were trailing you and pulled away. You frowned down at the ground. Well fine then, if he wanted to be like that you'd ignore him too.
Sapnap blinked up at you, still close to your side "So, are you really 12 feet tall?"
You started grinning widely. "Oh, baby flame, I'm 13'7 feet tall."
"That is so cool!" He bounced on his feet. "That's even taller than Dad."
You laughed, "Of course I am! Bad is tiny, even compared to the αβ·α΅βαγͺβ£α·κα ."
In front of you Bad flushed. You used to constantly tease his short stature but you had also assured him you loved it. But that was of course before he travelled to the overworld.
The half-half one tilted their head at you, eyes wide though that was a permanent condition of most Enders. He looked even younger than your baby flame, you almost wanted to coo. "β¬ββ ββΏβββ?"
"β βββ, β¬ββ." You did coo softly. Their name was Ranboo if you recalled correctly. He was practically a nestling too, even if not yours. "βββββ ββ β¬βββ ββββββββ, β°ββββ°β βββ?"
"β°βββ." Ranboo warbled, distressed particles falling off of him. "βββ'β ββββββββ."
"Hey!" The tiniest human, the one with horns, glared at you. "What are you saying to him."
He was protective of the tall one, you realized quickly. How cute.
"He is confused. His memory worsens the longer he is away from the β βββββ ββββββ." You would've kept talking but you all had finally arrived at the kitchen.
The place was bustling, demon's shuffling past you with exotic foods on platters.
A plate of Enderian foods passed by and you spotted Ranboo's eyes trailing after it. You plucked off a chorus fruit, nodding in thanks to the waiter.
"Here, β°ββββ°β βββ," You handed it to him with your best human smile. Ranboo didn't seem to mind your toothy grin, an excited shine in his lidless eyes.
A tiny blond human peeks out of Ranboo's side like in one of those human cartoons, watching with narrowed eyes. "What're you giving Ranboob?"
"Chorus fruit," You gesture to the plates of food still left. Despite being told not to steal food repeatedly by your sister, you picked up another chorus fruit with a wicked smile. "Try some."
The protective one snatched one too, like a little nestling hoarding food. He even had the little horns too! They shoved it in their mouths, eyes glowing purple before simultaneously they both teleported.
You and Bad snickered like nestlings. As growing flames, you'd give chorus fruit to unsuspecting diplomats. One would think precious little Bad Boy Halo wouldn't do pranks but if only they knew you had been his first target since you were nestlings.
Ranboo giggled too, already aware of what happened. The blond appeared only a few feet to the left, right next to Sapnap. But the horned one went further, seven feet away, onto a mostly empty countertop with one of their feet in human mash potatoes.
"Pff-!" The blond laughed, high pitched and loud. "Look! Your- your freaking foot!"
The horned one glared at the blond, not even lifting his foot out of the mash.
"I mean," Ranboo snickered into his hand. "You do look pretty ridiculous Tubbo."
"I will kill you in your sleep and eat your organs," Tubbo said with a sinister smile. Then they tilted their head to the golden one. "And Tommy, stop laughing at Ranboo or you'll be next."
Tommy went stock still. It was hilarious how terrified he was of someone so tiny.
"Nestling- Baby Flame!" You interrupt, calling out to Sapnap. He blinked up at you, all soft edges and warm colours. "Come eat, ΚαΚ|| βκαα²α· ."
"And you too," You turn towards Ranboo. "Growing flames cannot feast on air."
Ranboo stares, his head tilted like a confused hell-hound. "More fruit?"
Tubbo and Tommy saddled up to Ranboo's sides. "More fruit." It wasn't a question and that probably amused you more.
You glanced to the side where the piglin and the angel stand; the angel golding up a human who looked horribly bored. "Would you like something too?"
"Yes!" The human said, pushing their glasses back.
"Wil, I don't-!"
"Shh! Don't decline the free food, birdza," Wil said happily, having already flipped Phil's cloak over their eyes. They go oddly still until the piglin sighs and flips it back over. Phil blinks rapidly like he just suddenly woke up.
"Birdza," Tommy and Tubbo whisper in unison. "Crowfather, crowfather, crowfather."
The most ironic part might be that Phil was obviously a Raven. You give Bad a look that makes him giggle, "Well, help yourself to anything."
"Are you sure we're allowed to eat this?" The pretty brown-haired human asked, peeking over Tubbo's shoulder. They had a cute little mushroom pin that matched with Sapnaps. How cute!
"Of course we can. Who's gonna tell their prince no." You wave your hand dismissively. Turning back to the counter, you pick up a platter of golden apples; safe for every species.
"What?!?" Most of them yelled even Tommy who had already shoved a golden apple in his mouth. Sapnap stared at you in disbelief. "You're a prince?"
You blink, "Yes? You didn't know this?"
"Well, you didn't tell them, you silly muffinhead!"Bad shook his head like he was any better.
"You didn't tell them either! α²α·αγͺβα· !" You pout, you sulk over to Sapnap. It's easier to force nestlings to eat than it is arguing with Bad. For someone so short, he held a lot of stubbornness. You shove the golden apples in Sapnap's face. "Eat."
He picks it up slowly, turning to the brunet. "Want one, George?"
"Sure," They shrug, unphased. They pluck it out of Sapnap's hand but it's done so easily that you're sure they've done it before. Sapnap then plucks another two golden apples off the platter. Your nestling takes a large bite out of one before he moved to hand it to the masked one. Sapnap bumps both of their shoulders and your grin widens.
You had suspected a bond! How pleased you were to be right.
Quickly the golden apples were taken until only two were left. You spotted Ranboo and his friends picking at more chorus fruit. You look toward Bad. After a second's hesitation, you hand Bad a golden apple. He looks at it, face soft but still guarded.
Slowly, scared like a skeleton cat, he held out a hand to you. With gentle movement, he pulls you closer. His human hands are rough, calloused as they rub circles into your hips. It tickles in a way, the light hold that lingers over your skin. You hardly realized human skin was that sensitive until now. Bad goes closer until your foreheads are pressed together in a way your horns would never allow, a gentle rumbling in his chest so soft that even you can barely hear it.
He doesn't say anything, just holds your waist like he's scared you'll pull away. You could if you wanted to. It's warm being held in his arms, a weird sort of warmth compared to the burning heat that powers everyone in the Nether. It feels so nice, being held. He croons softly, a childish little noise that makes your insides gooey.
"M'sorry about earlier," he mutters to you, just for you. You can feel his flames flickering in his chest, gentle as they curl around his fingertips and press into your skin. His flames cannot hurt you, you've always known, and as they spread across your skin like soft kisses you can almost hear the apology they are giving you too. "I'm still- I know we aren't growing flames anymore but I still feel like we're back in the Academy with those mean muffin heads. I'm scared even though I know they'd never... But I'm still sorry."
"It hurt when you rejected me earlier." You say, not to add to his guilt but because you're being honest. "But I know what you mean. Apology accepted, little flame."
"Not little," he mutters half-heartedly. He nuzzles his nose into yours, truly like a skeleton cat. You brush your own flame over his arm, fingers wrapped around gentle human skin as you brush swirls of flames and embers that flicker around his arm. It curls around his shoulder, invisible to everyone but you two.
Or, you suddenly realized, three. Well, Sapnap politely keeps silent about it so you let it go on for another few seconds before pulling back. Bad smiles at you, his little fangs peeking out.
"Your royal highness," A chef calls to you, flour and something unnamed dirtying her apron. "Her Majesty the Queen has asked for you and your companions to head to the dining hall. And-" she hesitates, "her majesty would like Sir Halo to know that when the festivities are over she will, uh, beat his ass in the courtyard for not saying hello to her."
You cackle in glee, excitedly clapping your hands together. "Oh what a sight that will be." Turning towards the humans, you smile widely. "Well now, let's not dawdle. Anna is what you humans call a bitch when angry!"
They follow easily, in a quiet line behind you and Bad as you hum a demonic tune to yourself. When you reach the large doors to the dining hall, propped open enough for you to spot your sister in her golden throne.
"Alright Bad, time to morph!"
The humans can hardly ask or even say anything before you and Bad start rapidly growing. Now you're sure they've seen Bad morph at least once or twice, but the way they're staring at you is a bit awkward. It's like they've never seen any other human-Esque being suddenly multiplied in height.
With a wicked grin, you stretch your wings. The leather is so uncomfortable when it sticks together so the moment cool air brushes past them, you sigh happily. "Alright, let's go!"
The humans blink before they seemingly shake it off. Sapnap grins up at you as he passes through the doors ahead of you, truly your baby flame is the cutest.
Soon it is just you and Bad. Finally, you pull him closer and knock your horns together. He trills happily, lovingly. As you pull apart, you brush a sharp nailed finger across his cheek. "Welcome back, little flame."
"Glad to be back," he says before pressing a sweet kiss to your lips. It makes your flames grow soft as he pulls away with flame lit cheeks. The phantom feeling of his apple flavoured taste on your tongue makes you impatient for the dinner to end. "Let's go before Anna sends guards after us again."
"I'd freeze her if she tries," You say even as you head towards the doors. Bad rolls his eyes at you but he still links his fingers through yours.

[This is my longest fic... I wrote it all in my notebook... I hate all of you /lh]
[I can't remember what I've told you guys and what I haven't but I'm back in school so free time for me is sporadic, especially since my doggo gave birth to 4 puppies. aaaaaa so I read one of your prince!eret posts and I had an idea! (I would've wrote it myself but I wouldn't have done it any justice)
but what if Prince!Eret had a little brother? and that was reader?? maybe reader is a little rebellious and sneaks out into the villiage or smth and meets the bench trio who don't know reader is the youngest prince? so they just kinda of spent the whole day together doing stuff until Prince Eret and maybe some of the Knights find them?
idk have a wonderful day/night :)
This came out a lot angstier than the first draft had been ahskfj
Little Rebel Prince π
[He/him pronouns]
[3000+ words]
Description: After an argument with your brother, King Eret, you sneak out of the castle. During your adventure you meet three odd, wonderful boys. (Platonic Eret + Benchtrio x M!Reader)
[Read the rest under the cut]
{γβγ}
Eret sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose between his fingers. His quill (how old school) is dropped to the side, staining a random piece of parchment and the edges of his sleeves. "For the last time, Y/N, you cannot attend dinner with King August."
"Why not?" You asked, not for the first time.
"Because you're too young. We're trying to discuss a peace treaty and I can't trust you not to ruin it." Eret is blunt, finally pulling his sleeve out of the wet ink splotch and grimacing. They look into your eyes, an uncomfortable feeling really, and their expression softens. "I really wish you could be there but this dinner is not a thing we can risk. Our borders are being contested so if we want this to end peacefully-"
"I can't be around to mess it up," You cut in blithely, managing to keep a smile on your face even as your brother's fell. "Got it. Well then, I'll be in my room, making no noise and pretending I don't exist."
Eret looks older suddenly, more exhausted as they lose their words before they can even grasp them. It leaks out of every pore, staining his stare blank and deepening the bags beneath his eyes. You've never seen a person lose so much life so quickly, nonetheless he doesn't say anything as you turn. Even as you linger in the hallway, the door stays shut and so you don't let the stares of Raven and Katrina weigh you down even as every step feels like a mile.
{γβγ}
You want some sweets. Not the ones in the castle, salted more than sweetened since that's what Eret likes, but the ones from the outskirts of the kingdom where the best sweets are smuggled from "L'Manchildburg". Normally, you'd just ask Eret to send you off with Sara or Kori but for obvious reasons you refused to do so.
In vindictive anger, you stepped out of your room despite whatever wordless promise you had made. There were no guards, an oversight really but it was an oversight that would be saving you some trouble. With quick hands, you push the large painting on the wall to the side and pressed your thumb to the sharp pointed thimble.
Blood dripped onto the metal and soaked into it, glowing a faint gold glow. The walls shifted, opening to long, large corridors of stone carved to perfection. Simple cracks layered the sides and you traced where Eret had carved both of your initials as a marker, running through the halls with you, getting lost and trying not to cry. You pulled away, something bitter lodged in your throat.
The labyrinth was made by your father as a gift for Eret's obtained kingship. Herobrine was not an amazing father but no one can say he does not try.
Quick steps forward, ignoring the way the walls shift in place as they read your intentions, making way to the capital. More specifically it seemed, a dimly lit alleyway with a knocked over trash can resting at you feet. The wall clicked shut behind you, lines smoothing away and melting back into brick walls.
The road was slanted, an odd sort of tension to going down and a struggle to walk up but you've walked it so many times that getting the perfect footing was practically automatic. The restaurants littering the sides were fairly loud for the daytime, doors caught wide open for any customer to step into. You distract yourself with catching the new prices for entering, a few dollars up for the steak-house but three dollars down for the pub. Easily enough, you're standing at the top.
This area is flatter, easier to walk, but it goes down long enough that you'd end up going in circles for hours and still not seeing everything it had to offer. A passing street musician plays a bit louder for you but you step past quicker, they'd never stop bothering you if you showed any interest, though you admit that they had an excellent voice.
Turning a corner, you stepped into a familiar cafΓ©. A red-tie* owned sweets shop ran by Niki, a nice lady who had dual citizenship somehow. It had a nice atmosphere despite that, soft lighting handing from the ceiling with vines tangled with the cord. High top tables pushed against the wall, beanbags pushed into a corner near some plants, a front counter wide enough to sit and eat at.
It's nice, not overly colourful but with enough plants and throw pillows to break up the monotony. You took a seat at the counter, brushing off a few crumbs leftover by a past customer. "Niki! You here?"
A soft laugh from behind you, "It's my cafΓ© of course I am."
You spin the chair, leaning back against the counter. "Just thought I'd ask," You spin again as she steps behind the counter. "Are you still serving (f/s)?"
"Of course," Niki laughs again, a teasing little smile on her face. "I wouldn't be your favorite cafe if I didn't."
"Mighty confident there, Niki," You press your lips together but it can't stop your smile from growing. "What if I liked that one cafΓ© on Oreli street better?"
Niki gasp, exaggerated and scandalized. "You wouldn't dare."
"Oh but I would," You are openly smiling now, a bit of an ache in your cheek that's not really helping. "Maybe I should go there nowβ"
"Enough teasing," Niki rest her hands on her hips, still smiling. "Do you want your (f/s) or not?"
"I do, thanks Niki," You shamelessly laugh. "As many a you've got, actually."
"You're going to dry out your pockets before the festival even starts!" The reminder makes you brighten up, even as Niki shakes her head fondly. Racking her knuckles across the kitchens shared wall, she calls out. "Ranboo, we need (f/s) please."
A small crash sounded from the kitchen, followed by skidding as the door was cracked open the barest amount, a half-white half-black enderman staring blearily at the ground. With a lighter colour face, they blurted out an vague noise of agreement and ducked back through the door.
Niki looked over at you and you looked at her. After a comically long time, she sighed and wiped her hands on a towel. "I have to go check on him don't I."
"It is your cafΓ©," You nodded along, tipping your chair back a bit. "I will just wait here andβ!"
Niki reached over and strong-armed you over the counter. "Nope, if I have to deal with it, so do you,"
You grumble as she let's you walk around the counter. Glancing at each other, you take the first step in.
The organized neatness of the cafΓ© is ruined by the disaster that was the kitchen. The counters were cluttered with messy pots and pans, cartons of milk tilted and spilling onto the floor with egg shells broken into hundreds of tiny pieces beneath your feet. Dishes were pilled high in the large sinks, including some extras sat in relatively neat stacks by the spilled milk. A pile of mud sits on a plate, smudge marks that were probably made by someone liking it. You really don't wanna know.
"Niki, I know what it looks like," The ram-boy says slowly, backing into a taller but more scrawny avian-boy. "But I have a good reason for what happened."
"Oh yeah," With her hands on her hips and raised brows, Niki briefly entertained the ram-boy. Mistake number one. "Okay, what happened?"
"Uhm, DISTRACTION!" They screamed, immediately sprinting for the back door. At the same time the avian boy screeched incomprehensible noises with garbled curses and uselessly flapped their wings to the door. With a startled gasp, Niki accidentally pushed you towards the half-white half-back enderman hybrid who startles a yelp and everything twists.
You fall to the floor, head fuzzyΒ with black dots like flickering lights. Someone cursed above you, reaching down to pull you to a stand. "Look what you did, Ranβbow."
"It's Ran-boo," Another voice, deeper and squeakier than the other voice at the same time. "But they fell onto me!"
"No one's allowed to fall for you except me!" A third voice said indignantly with a small air of humour, a large stomp like a tantrum knocking you more on whoever picked you up. "We should just leave them here before Niki finds us."
"She'd be even angrier if we left her friend here alone like this," The deep voice said, attempting to reason with the angry voice. The person holding you tightens their grip at the thought, holding you up a bit more. "So please, can we not."
"Fine, for Niki," The angry voice pouts, loudly dropping to the floor. "Can I draw on their face while they're asleep?"
"No, Tubbo, you can't draw a penis on their face." Deep voice guy sighed, sounding like your brother whenever you prank Lord Dream (as if you don't do it everytime he visits).
"Aww man."
You blink, murky colours still flooding your visions but focusing more with every blink. You're leaning against a tall blond in a red and white shirt, his bony shoulder digging into your cheek as you lean against him. "What's going on?"
Your attempt at comprehensible words was mediocre at best, but you'll suppose it's good enough. Looking at the hybrid who teleported you there, a second wave of nausea comes tumbling out of your mouth.
As everyone scurries back, your yanked by the avian hybrid who had yet to let you go. Bringing your hand upon to wipe at spit and your half-digested lunch, you finally feel normal again. Pulling away from the avian, who happily let's you with a grumbled "Ew," at your throw up trail, you stand up tall and try to regain any respect your sickness had thrown away. "Well that was kind of rude."
You cringe, the voice of your brother reprimanding you in spirit. But the avian and ram start giggling to each other, making deep mocking voices of your words at the enderman hybrid. "C'mon guys, I already said it wasn't my fault!"
When he turns to you, he bows his head low, "I'm so sorry for teleporting you. Tubbo's told me it really sucks when you're not an enderman. I'm really sorry!"
"It's... fine," You shrug, grimacing at the taste of your own stomach fluids coating your teeth. "I mean, it wasn't intentional so no harm, no foul."
"See, Boo, you're fine!" The ram pats their shoulder with a bit of difficultyβyou think their name is Tubbo so the other would be Ranbooβ and dusting off their pants as they stand up. "I'm Tubbo!"
"I'm Y/N," You take the offered hand, trying to replicate your brother's strong handshake. Tubbo giggles despite the effort, his grip turning into Iron as well. It's almost a contest between you two. Who has the stronger hand grip?
Sadly, you've come to a loss and Tubbo whoops with victory. Turning to the avian, you stick your hand out. "Nice to meet you, chicken boy. I'm Y/N."
"I am not a fucking chicken! I don't even look like a chicken!" If he was an actual animal, you'd imagine it'd look like he had rabies. Foaming at the mouth with anger, chittering aggressively and non-stop. "Fuck you man! I'm not a chicken."
"Alright, alright, my bad." You backtrack quickly, hands raised in a placating motion. "I would like to know your name though chiβregular boy."
The avian gave you the stink eye, "The name's Tommy Innes! And don't call me that either." They set their hands on their hips in a close imitation of Niki. "You're a right prick."
"I prefer the words 'difficult to handle', it's a lot easier to read on your report card, ya know?" Suddenly you cringe again, the reminder of your brother's face when you did read it to him coming back to haunt you. Fixing your posture, you stick your hand out again after putting it down. "Nice to meet you."
Tommy takes your hand, his hands surprisingly calloused. "Your introduction was shit."
{γβγ}
You don't exactly remember why you followed them or why they let you follow them, all you remember is the exciting feeling of truly enjoying yourself, feeling light with every step, your face aching from smiling so hard and your stomach twisted with laughter. It was nice, so incredibly nice.
All good things must come to an end eventually though and the sound of trumpets sounding in the streets scare the shit out of you.
"Fuck," You curse through a handful of marshmallow Tommy had given you. "Fuck, shit, fuck, fuck, fuuuuuck."
"What's wrong?" Tubbo asks, strangely concerned. "Are you okay?"
"The King is on his way," You say as you try chewing quicker. The taste of too many marshmallows stick to your tongue, the taste stuck between your teeth and caught in your throat. It tastes like air now. "He's probably already here."
"What's wrong with that?" Tommy asks, face serious and lips drawn to an aggressive sneer. "Is he bothering you? I swear if he's messing with youβ"
"No, Prime no," You say, louder than planned. "He's not, it's just, I can't be found by him."
"Are you sureβ?" Ranboo starts, cut off by the noise of clattering metal and horse steps. Whirling around quickly, you're already done for. Too many soldiers to evade surround you, practically boxing you into the bench you're sitting at.
"Your majesty, we've found him," A soldier calls out, one hand resting on their holster as they watch you all. "Three unidentified subjects around him, all equipped."
You whirl back to look at them and wow is it a sight. Your new buddies, the practically harmless friends you've madeβTubbo cried when he killed a beeβ are all wearing full netherite armour, sharp blades than you've ever wielded in their hands. "Guys...?"
"Y/N, get behind us," Tubbo says, eyes hidden by the helmets shadow. Something about his voice frightens you, but yet still being near him isn't scary. You aren't scared of him hurting you. For some reason you trust them all not to. But still...
Your brother steps up and you sink a bit, following Tubbos directions and hiding in hopes he somehow magically forgets about you in the next three seconds.
"Y/N, you said you'd be in your room." Eret says with an infuriatingly level voice. It is like the moon is dipping the sunset, cusping their back just enough for the light to shine down and flare around your brother, truly a king fit to rule the world. "Honestly I don't know what I expected from you."
You feel embarrassment claw at your throat, fighting with the rage in your stomach and suddenly you feel the urge to hurl. Tommy is at your side, one hand holding their sword up and the other offering a sort of protection for you. The consequence though, that is what paralyzes you.
"Your royal highness, please end this foolishness. We do not wish to harm your friends." A soldier calls, a beckoning hand outstretched as if you're a frightened animal awaiting rescuing.
Another wave of anger bubbles over you, pushing your embarrassment to your heels to be dragged with. "You dare threaten my friends. They have done anything you didn't force them to."
"Those are Mud Trackers**," Eret spits out, though the words don't surprise you. "Tommy Innit, Tubbo Underscore, Ranboo Beloved, all of them fought against us."
"You were one of them once too," You yell back but still there is a disconnect when Tommy flinches next to you. The truth is out. You are royalty and they are the tentatively neutral country, enemies forged through blood. They could have killed your brother and your brother could have killed them. You don't know whatever history that is hiding in Eret's anger but neither side are taking it well. "Stop taking your anger at me on them! If you're gonna fight anyone, fight me!"
The thought makes your brother step back, face falling into the first emotion you've seen on his face. Guilt. "I'm not going to fight you, and if you return I'm not going to fight them either."
"What if I dont," You say and there is a clenched hurt that comes with those words. "Will you kill them?"
"No, you know I wouldn't Y/N," Your brother says and it is softer, quieter. Eret sighs, crown tipped and without the sunlight he is just as inhuman as you, pain written into the curve of his frown.Β "Please just come home."
Tommy looks over at you and they are still angry even as they put their sword away. "Go fix this. If you need us, you know how to find us."
Not-quite-relief washes down your throat at Tommy's words. Ranboo and Tubbo keep their weapons but they too step back. Looking over at your brother, you walk with all the grace embued in your lineage, chin held high. As you greet Eret, he pulls you into a hug.
"I was so worried, Y/N," he mutters, arms wrapped around your shoulders as you burrow into his chest. "I'm sorry for being a dick. Please never do that again,"
"Okay," You manage to say, muffled in your brother's shirt. "But you are still kinda being a dick."
"Okay, I'll do better," He says, quiet and true. "Let's go home."
Before he can stop you, you pull away. Turning back to your friends, you wave, "I'll see you again soon, bye."
Ranboo waves back but Tommy and Tubbo look at each other and just nod. "Bye."
Eret doesn't say anything to your friends but there is something horribly sad in their smile. Maybe they had more history than just fighting, who knows. He turns to you, outstretched hand waiting for you. You take it easier than before. It isn't great, but it's something.
