“I’m not leaving you,” He cut in, tone brooking no argument.

He couldn’t move away from her. Not for a second. Not even to make the short distance to grab his two-way from the console between the seats. If he did, it would be Erin all over again. Rebecca would be gone. There would be blood on his hands. He could never wash it off. Clawing at his palms over and over until they were red and burning, but never lifting any of the stains away.

Rebecca stared, taking him in, a worried crease between her brows as her dark eyes flitted over his face. Whatever she saw there – the desperation, fear, or the weaknesses of a man who had failed others too many times – eventually made her concede, “Okay.”

He went to pull the screen door open, to place himself between her and whatever it was that lay waiting in the abyss yawning up before them, only for her to step forward and do it herself with a soft, “Cover my six.”

Amidst the loss and confusion of recent events, Mark Owens falls into a crisis of faith like never before. It certainly doesn't help that God is silent despite his cries, pushing him ever further onto a path of revenge. Cian Daniels is trying his best to keep this kid as safe as he can whilst meeting Mark halfway, before he can get himself killed.

Last night I had this really wild dream that Artfight was an actual fight where people could turn into their OCs. The arena was this suburban neighborhood and every artist had their own house and they had a flag. To win a fight, you had to steal their flag. Unfortunately, I was not aware that Artfight was happening in MY neighborhood. I’m not even in Artfight. So we had a flag out front and I was riding a razor scooter(I haven’t had mine in years IRL) through the neighborhood, and this one artist had a shapeshifting OC, so they turned into a fucking duck and started attacking me. I can feel what happens in my dream, and damn, that hurt. And then the artist turned into a fucking T-Rex, and out of sheer spite I stole their flag, which had stripes of the French flag and the bisexual flag. Keep in mind, I had no fucking idea that this was Artfight. Shapeshifting duck attacks you? Steal its flag. I was not aware that I had just entered myself into the Fight. So I went home and realized that I saw both a Lesbian and a Transgender pride flag out there, too. So I wanted to replace my bisexual/French flag with one of those. Once again, I DID NOT KNOW THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE FLAGS. Anywho, I couldn’t find ANY flags ANYWHERE. And this one guy randomly yelled that everyone on this floor was dead, and that I’d have to go down one. So the Artfight arena was like a dungeon. Cool. So I went down to the next floor, which was like a medieval village. The one gnome guy from Dungeon Meshi(the one that traveled with Namari) decided to teach me how to use magic, because I was completely unarmed. So I got a couple spells to blow shit up. I met fucking MIMIC!CESAR AND MARK down there, and we decided to try to get the trans flag. Because why not? Mark had a big-ass sword, mimic!Cesar had a spear, and I could blow up stuff with my mind. Yippee. Anyway, we walked into this one house, saw SCP-049, and then I woke up. 10/10 dream, would recommend.
