Some pearl oysters come with an extra surprise! When ingesting sand to make a pearl, oysters may also get mermaid eggs, which will hatch and be left in a state of slumber until opened. The mermaid remains small and grows around the pearl. These pearls are known to bring good luck and is rumoured that's these little mermaids can grant wishes!
