My current obsession is the fact that in the Victorian Era people would have secret conversations by gifting specific flowers.

And every flower had a different meaning and sometimes more than one meaning depending on the other flowers you paired it with. Not to mention even the way you tie it or the hand to deliver it with can indicate something else.

I’m gonna link a website that has images from actual Victorian era books that explain flower language and each meaning.
