Flower Language - Tumblr Posts
Fun fact! One of the flowers in Jin's bouquet is chrysanthemum. Purple chrysanthemums often symbolise care! [I actually really like this one tbh, cause of the symbolism of him caring for his mother.] Violet chrysanthemums symbolize the pain of losing a loved one. [I'm not okay.] and there are lilies which mean purity, commitment and rebirth.
For Rui's, I have a few guesses: Yellow/Orange Zinnia [the rounder flowers] - honouring memories dear/health and vitality. Buddleia [the ones on his jacket(?)] - new beginnings. Orange chrysanthemum [the bigger flowers]- Feeling of delicate love Marigold [could also be the ones on his jacket] - warmth, vitality, sun's power.
[THE OTHERS I DON'T KNOW WELL SOZ ;-;]
But there's this reddit post which sums up Haku's flower meanings!
Thoughts for pennies
(I’m no longer counting these, if you click the tab. They are all out of order. It’s bad 💀)
I have a thought on this picture of Jin.

What if these flowers are all of his mother’s favorites? Not only the flowers, but colors too!
Jin is often seen with icy blue, white or royal blue. Yet in this picture, it’s purple. Why purple? The other two Haku and Rui are wearing their own color. Minus, Haku having blue in the mix.

But it really got me thinking on why purple for Jin? Especially blue roses are in Haku’s.
Jin definitely strikes me as a type of man that would incorporate his mother’s favorites into his wedding. Her favorite color, flowers, maybe have a wedding at her favorite place where she loves to visit or got married at, or was raised. This here makes me love Jin more and more.
This poor man misses his mother ಥ‿ಥ
-------------------------------------------- As for Haku’s maybe the blue roses meant something? Maybe it’s because he was from Frostheim?
Tell me your thoughts Starlings 💙
okay i can make note from this

summary: “You’re in love and you didn’t tell me?” Jimin sounds affronted. “Who is it? Are they cute? Where are you hiding them? I knew you were lying about those flowers, you lying liar.” or: the story of how you meet a pretty florist with soft hands and warm eyes, how he mends your broken heart, and how he helps you realise some other things along the way.
warnings: use of a few curse words, reader is self-deprecating and suffering from heartache towards the beginning (v mildly angsty ig? but dw it passes), but otherwise this is a Very Soft fic!

“It’s time to get up.”
“It absolutely is not.” Your voice is muffled under a layer of pillows and blankets, material pressing down on your body and head, covering you. A protective cocoon. “I’ve become one with my duvet and we shall never be parted.”
You yelp when the blanket is ruthlessly ripped from you. Your curtains have been thrown open and you can feel how the sun is streaming in through your windows, warming your skin, even if you can’t see it; there’s a particularly fluffy pillow smothering your face right now to keep the world outside at bay.
“This has to be against the Geneva convention,” you whine as your collection of pillows is similarly stripped from the bed, leaving you entirely bereft from their comfort and protection. You curl into a tight ball around your Pusheen cushion and try to protect her from Jimin’s grasping fingers— your final bastion of defence against him. “No! Not Pusheen! Please! Take me instead!”

➸ author’s note: I strayed a little far from the prompt with this one, but… this is what felt right for the story… so here you go, fluff and bad boy Yoongi! A wonderful concoction I never knew I needed ‘till just now! Also, this was kind of inspired by ‘secret garden’ by oh my girl!
Floriography. Or the language of flowers. It’s another way to talk outside of the words you always find yourself struggling with, giving clumsy constructions and hesitating answers every time you open your mouth.
You’d much rather communicate with flowers. And drawings. Giving a sketchbook’s worth of your feelings, captured better than words ever could, is so much easier.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY FAVORITE YAPPER!!

AKECHI TOUMA!

Now what I'm more excited to show is his brother flower(s)
Does September have two birth month flowers?
Yes! September has two birth month flowers, the morning glory and the aster. Which means another pretty flower to add to your bouquet. Yay! Asters are wonderfully vibrant wildflowers, ranging from white and red to pink and yellow. They'll easily brighten up any bouquet, especially during the autumn months!
Let's start with the asters first!

ASTER FLOWERS

Origins
The humble aster is a misunderstood flower. They're often confused with daisies, and some even consider them to be weedy because of how easily they grow. These little, dainty blooms have a big, rich history behind them and a Greek legend telling the story of how they got their name. Asters were named after the Greek word for ‘star’. Because, when the Greek god, Astraea, was upset by how few stars there were in the sky she started to cry. And where her tears hit the ground, they turned into asters. Cool story right?

Meaning and symbolism
In general, asters are considered to symbolize love, affection, and wisdom. In the Victorian flower language, they also carried the meaning of daintiness, patience, and charm. However, the specific color of an aster can change its meaning.

Flower language
Purple aster:
Purple asters, the most popular kind, denote wisdom and loyalty, royalty, dignity, admiration and respect.
White asters:
white asters are associated with innocence and purity.
Red asters:
Choosing red asters sends a message of undying devotion.
Pink asters:
pink asters conveying affection, love and sensitivity.
Blue asters:
Blue aster flowers represent trustworthiness and faithfulness. This makes them the perfect gift for a cherished friend or a loved one you trust implicitly.
The Japanese symbolism:
In Japanese culture, the aster flower represents the line
"I won't forget you."

And thats all the information i can provide! (*^▽^*)
Tell me what you think about this one? Should i do the next 5th of September flower (morning glory?)
Fun fact!
Did you know that because of asters happy, positive vibes, they were once used to ward off evil spirits and negative energy? So if you’re a superstitious person, having these pretty flowers around will definitely give you peace of mind.

These flowers can't convey my words, so all I offer is a gentle purr.
U just have to, sneak up, and Bestow the flowers in their curls unawares. 9 times outta 10 they act offended but refuse to take them out and remain crownéd until sunset.
I just think that society would improve greatly if we had more men putting little flowers in their hair
flower language has always been an intense source of disappointment for me
like, they all mean really generic things like “love” or “forever” or “i’m sorry”
i thought you could combine flowers
like you could just send someone a bouquet and from the combination of hibiscus and posies and tulips they’d understand “the rebel leader is dead, rendezvous at the docks at 8, bring the dog, you will need lighter fluid and a large tomato”

I just need a fanfic where everyone thinks that Wes keeps saying that Danny and Phantom are the same person because he has a crush on both of them and it's in his negation phase.
He does not. He swear he doesn't. You just don't understand. There's a whole investigation made by himself to PROVE that they're, indeed, the same person.
And they go all like, yes Wes, we know you are a little bit crazy about love but we respect and support you as long as you don't become a stalker or worse. We accepted ghosts, we can accept a poly boy.
And Danny doesn't help. He's all "oh Wea, I didn't know you think so good about me 😳😳😳" And Wes all "I DON'T" and Sam/Tuxker all "You don't treat my child like that."
Phantom,on the other side starts to flirt with him, jokingly. Dedicating him some wins, throwing him kisses, winking an wye in his direction, etc.
Amity Park is sure that there's a whole love triangle and it's kind of fucked up because in one side we have the strongest ghost and in the other side we have tiny child from ghost busters. That's drama.
It's their fucking novel, tea, whatever. They eat this shit, they inhale it, they live and only live for this shit. This is THE Drama.
Wes just wants to cry at this point.

I just have got like four messages from different people about the yellow rose that Luche holds and what does that mean.😂
Well, the reason is actually really simple. Its all in the meaning in the flower itself. (I had once as a hobby flower language. It was really nice and maybe I should pick it up again) Anyway, yellow/gold rose means joy and friendship. And those two things are actually significant to Luche. (or are related in way to him) Joy is actually more of the thing that he needs, because during the movie did we ever saw Luche be happy or even smile? And friendship ......we all know, what happened in the movie, right?
So thats my reasoning for the yellow rose. 🌹🌹🌹
Cactus, daffodil and mahonia for the flower ask meme please ☺️💙
Cactus- Next year I am going to do a massage course. (I was always fascinated by that, so I think it was about time) I am super excited about that!
Daffodil- Of course, I have younger sister (by ten years XD) Well, we are both love video games and animals, and we´re also big foodies XD . Sis is currently teenager and ... errrr, it´s hard to say. I believe Markétka is more introverted then me.
Mahonia- Uuuu, well I do actually have places that inspire me! (I will place them bellow. It´s much more places but those three stick out) I usually write poetry or do snippet of some story.

Could also be Greek Valerian (Spreading Jacob's Ladder or Stairway to Heaven)
The Flowers in Yashahime Ep. 8:

The land that Setsuna is shown on has two sets of flowers. One set of flowers is purple with yellow in it’s center. The other set is white with yellow in its center. They both have yellow centers, but those centers differ. The white flower’s yellow center is just a circle, nothing sticking out, but the purple flowers have yellow sprouts in the center as well as the yellow circle. This indicates, to me anyway, that they are two different kinds of flowers.
When it comes to the white flowers, I still think they are white Japanese anemones:

In the picture above, you can even see how there are two “rings” in the center, which would reflect the center of the anemone flower here. I’ve already talked about the anemone flower though, so I’m going to focus the rest of this post on the purple flowers. To me, the purple flowers look like crocus flowers:

Same petal shape, color, and there are the yellow sprouts in the middle, just like in the anime image. While not native to Japan, they are native to Western China (according to the Wiki page). That being said, let’s look into the flower language of it and also into the mythology of it.
For meanings, when you look up what the flowers meaning, you get stuff like “youthful gladness,” “joyfulness,” “hope,” and so forth. On the Japanese site hananokotoba(dot)com, I also got this meaning:

It’s stating that the meaning of a purple crocus flower is “regretful love.” Though the purple color is also linked to “dignity, pride, and success.” That’s a general symbolism of the color purple though.
Looking at the etymology and Greek Legend that goes with it is pretty interesting though:

The source for this bit of information above came from here: h t t p s : / / w w w . f l o w e r m e a n i n g . c o m / c r o c u s - f l o w e r - m e a n i n g /
Now, I could absolutely be wrong on the type of flower that the purple flower is meant to be. So, if anyone has any other different ideas on what it could be, please feel free to comment and share! :)
But yeah, I found that to be pretty interesting and some nice food for thought.
