THANK You.

THANK you.

As a neurodivergent person but also as just a HUMAN BEING, I am so sick and tired of having to proofread all my messages to make sure I didn't misspell anything

Like yeah haha you forgot that apostrophe but like do you understand my point? Did you hear what I was actually trying to say? Are you listening to my opinion or are you listening for fuck-ups?

People need to learn how to exchange opinions healthily, not start back-and-forth roasting competitions and completely forgetting how the debate started in the first place. Arguments are supposed to be about getting your point across, not waiting for someone else to mess up so you can completely shift off topic and make fun of their typo.

If you're reading this and you have a habit of doing that, I don't hold against you, but PLEASE be the intellectual. If you're in an argument, argue to reach an understanding, instead of arguing to fight.

i know people think it's funny and all to point out bad grammar in an argument, but i perspnally think if you truly genuinely cannot think of another response that actually combats their point, or be mature enough to respond in an actual way, then you should not be in that argument

also if you equate bad spelling or grammar to being stupid or wrong, you need to reflect on yourself and where those views come from and change them, considering that (in my experience and from my knowledge) it is most common for neurodivergent people and people who have a different first language to struggle with those things most

i'm dyspraxic and i struggled for YEARS to figure out how to use the correct versions of their, there and they're because of that

i'm not saying that's always the intention behind it, or the only reason people say it, but there is no genuine reason to bring that up and it spreads more harm than good

i don't really get into discourse, this isn't supposed to be a discourse post or targeted at all, it's just something i've always thought about and wondered if anyone agreed

people are also free to add (as long as it's civil)! i could be overthinking this, but i th8nk it's something to consider

How to torture a writer:

Send writing prompts which you know they'll like. Send lots of them. Keep sending them. Dont stop.

No one reblogs on tumblr anymore.

No one leaves comments on Ao3 anymore.

Seriously people the lack of fandom interaction these days makes me genuinely depressed, it never used to be like this, makes me wonder what's the point of coming online to do anything anymore.

Reblog a post so other people can see it.

Leave a comment so the author doesn't feel like giving up.

Fandom cannot live on Likes or Kudos alone.

If You Are Leaving Hate Comments And Vague Posting About Other People Then Grover Would Be Disappointed

If you are leaving hate comments and vague posting about other people then Grover would be disappointed in you. Let’s make him proud instead, okay? Have a good day :)
