You guys can stop with your weird posts about how swifties are “crazy” or a “cult” when it’s really just mostly young women and girls who enjoy and connect with an artist and are now facing violent threats of terrorism and femicide over it. You guys can acknowledge just how dangerous and insidious and pervasive misogyny is and that if Taylor Swift’s privilege and influence is not shielding her from this level of misogynistic terror, imagine how much worse it could get for the rest of us if we normalize this behavior.
