Inktober 19 #21: Liifa Minitra a.k.a Lifiana Variati A miniature tree with a characteristic swirl-shaped mark on its bark. Lifiana Variati, as its secondary name implies, is well known for the large variety of leaves it grows. It's sort of like a grab bag to find one- you never know quite what you're going to get with each leaf. Lifiana Variatis are raised traditionally for the Tea Festival. Each year the tea made from the best and most tea-suitable leaves of a Variati Minitra is completely different, and certainly makes for some excitement during the long months of the rainy season.

Inktober 2019 #16: Kuana Plania An unusual plant, even for Crescent Minoria. It takes in very little moonlight via its glowing bits. Instead, it relies on its deep root system to find nutrients hidden far beneath the continent's low-nutrient top soil. However, due to this, the plant stays very small in its first stage of life until its roots can find proper nutrition. It's glowing bits are also larger then, gradually shrinking as the roots locate nutrients. Once they have found sufficient soil, the little plant can grow very rapidly to its mature size.

Inktober 2019 #23: Shifuru Tsufruit Another unique plant that bears one of Buddy world’s delectable staple fruits, the Shifuru Tsufruit. Its bright coloring makes for a wonderful addition to dishes, either as the main course or to spruce up a pre-existing dish. The plant's braided vine stem helps to support the hefty load it carries, while also providing the plant with more sustainability- after the fruit is picked, one of the vines can lie fallow while another takes its place forming a new fruit. As a result, it can grow full-sized fruits in a matter of days. However, its quick growth tends to deplete the soil of nutrients quicker than slower growing plants. As a result of this, it often grows alone. Though they could be cultivated to grow within a few feet of each other, the soil would need to be diligently enriched for them to flourish.

Inktober 2019 #24: Veriana Flowers Veriana flowers tend to be rare. Each flower it grows has different needs for its environment, and it can be rare for those conditions to all come together in the same area. However, each flower has its own unique root system. As such, these roots can search out soil and nutrient conditions and gravitate towards areas that meet those conditions. All the same, the seeds of Verianas rarely take root unless they can sense ideal conditions somewhere nearby. As a result of their diverse needs, the flowers that Verianas grow also tend to be seasonal, some springing up and flourishing when weather is ideal, and others closing up and receding back into the soil.

They are exported for the annual Tea Festival, held primarily in central Wing Alayna. The petals melt easily into tea, and are thus very convenient, especially for an often-exported item.

Inktober 2019 #17: Flarowan Pikana A blossom that prefers warm summer nights. It stores up energy in the day and releases it at night in a brilliant display. They are beloved sights during the Tea Festival, particularly on drier nights. On days when it rains it will not open much at night, and give off little energy. The petals are actually sweeter when giving off energy, so they are preferred prepared and served quickly. The petals will continue to glow after they are plucked, but only for three hours. That is why a quick preparation and serving are optimal for sweeter teas.
