Keith snickered, holding up note 6. "You found them all! Your surprise is a home cooked meal of your choice, I'll make it myself." He had been taking cooking lessons from Hunk and was rather proud of the progress he'd made.

He'd grown quite fond of pulling little pranks on Shiro here and there. He'd have to keep this one in mind for when they returned to earth and had peace.

Keith was busy putting sticky notes around the ATLAS, grinning to himself. Each one had a number on it 1 through 10, all but the number 6. He then placed one at the helm where Shiro stood, snickering to himself. It read: Find all the numbers and I'll give you a surprise.

It took time Shiro didn't necessarily have to search for and locate the little pieces of paper Keith had left for him, but he was determined, and wanted to find out just what Keith had in store for him.

About an hour later, he appeared on the bridge in front of Keith, waving all of them in his face. This was something he'd made himself available for, even though he had only just finished up his work for the day and had stowed his PADD in his backpack. No training, no food, other than a snack to tide him over— his brain was on high alert, but foggy after having completed this task.

"Hey. What are these for, anyway?" he asked, blinking.

“ can i kiss you? ”

Bright red dusted the half-galran's cheeks at the question, he'd never been asked before, and it flustered him. Keith reached up, cupping Mark's cheek with his right hand and pulling him gently closer. "Of course you can, super bear."

"No, just cold hearted," Keith snapped back, eyes fierce. He flipped the dagger in his hands end over end, catching it by the hilt each rotation. A dangerous trick, but one he'd come to master over time. It had resulted in many a slice in the past.

Uncharacteristically, Keith's eyes welled with tears. Those were the words he'd so desperately needed to hear for so long, he just wanted to be loved for who he was. His shoulders trembled as the tears fell, sobs teetering on the edge.

"Thank you," he whispered through them, pulling Mark into his arms and burying his face against the other's chest. "Stars, thank you, Mark..."

Shiro sighed in relief clearing everything he could. "I'm going to have to pull out the piece of rebar in your shoulder," he frowned, knowing that if this were a human she would be in immeasurable pain. "I know it won't hurt, but I feel I should warn you. Are you able to walk, or are your legs too damaged?"

He got a good grip on the rebar and pulled with all the force he could muster, pulling it from the wound with as little further damage as possible. He tossed it to the side and helped the Android to her feet, keeping his arm around her in case she were unable to walk.

"I can carry you if need be, we have someone onboard the ATLAS that can repair you, I promise you that."
