Now that I got my brushes back, I’m back to experimenting. Say hi to sparkly Mermaid Tsuyu. (And ignore the hairline I forgot to erase.)

Usually with My Hero Ultra Impacts Events, there’s also a chance to get new variants of characters that have to do with the events and they are usually the main focus.

But this time around, I can’t help but feel they got lazy with this one or something.

The highlight character that players can get is Shoto in a yukata.

But throughout the story for the event, the main players and the ones responsible for the event were Jirou and Uraraka, along with Kirishima and Testsutestsu. Todoroki was simply there and said a few lines that weren’t anything special.

I feel like it’s somewhat favoritism and laziness by making Todoroki the new character to try to get instead of Jirou.

In fact, I don’t recall seeing her in ANY of the memories either. There’s a memory for Iida, Midoriya and Uraraka. There’s one for Monoma kicking Bakugou’s ass in a shooting game with some of the boys from both 1-A and 1-B watching on. And there’s one of Midnight, Present Mic and Aizawa. But no sight of Jirou. Uraraka played a big part in this as well, but she already got a new version with her from the 2 year anniversary event. So honestly, she should have gotten the respect and attention due.

✩ the look he gives people when they interrupt her whilst she’s talking, it’s deadly.

✩ she loves telling him about her day just to see the stars in his eyes and the million dollar smile he has.

One of Horikoshi’s biggest missed opportunities is allowing us to get a small glimpse of just how Dark Shadow thinks of everyone! It’s a SENTIENT quirk that has its own personality and feelings that aren’t necessarily parallel to Tokoyami! Seeing through it’s eyes and hearing its own thoughts could have been SO interesting! And seeing more friendship moments between a living quirk and the boy that is so fascinated with quirks! Bah! So much missed potential!

Despite doing much of the head-on fighting, Dark Shadow is so gentle with Midoriya. Even the new Ragnarok: Womb move looks like Dark Shadow is trying to hold Deku in a safe cocoon to protect him from all harm.

And then I remember that they have a long history together through the Sport Festival and the Forest Arc and Dark Shadow is very fond of Deku on its own right.
