Christmas as a cultural icon is starting to get really dystopian in a climate sense, december has historically been a time of year in which there would be snow in a significant portion of europe and north america, and the fact that its not even icy this time of year and all the christmas songs and decorations reference a time of year that will likely never exist in the same way again in my life time is so strange.

I love beautiful and toxic fictional men as much as the next person, but I wish less vampires and werewolves were beautiful toxic men.

Make them strange and aloof or utterly insane from the curses that writhe within them, going mad from the blood on their hands that is only natural because of what they have become.

Bring back the visceral, horrifying Beast Within that isn't just body horror or gothic horror or whatever horror, but a metaphor for the corruption of humanity. The horror of slowly losing yourself to animalistic instincts as you destroy everything you ever love.

Or bring back my guy Nosferatu. Love that devious little man.

If someone gifted me a monopoly game in the name of women in STEM, the only thing I'd be inventing is a way to get revenge on them.
