You hum to yourself, eyes gazing out as you ride the elevator up. It had been so long since you were in Seoul, having spent a good portion of the last few years in North America to study for your PhD. It was worth it of course, but the pandemic hit hard and seeing your boyfriend was a no go.

You had just got in earlier today, choosing first to take all of your stuff back to your apartment. You decided to keep it early on, thinking that you would be able to come home and visit every once in a while. Thankfully it hadn’t collected too much dust as Jungkook couldn’t erred to check up on it every once in a while.

The elevator sings and brings you out of your thoughts, a huge grin coming to your face. You practically run down the hallway in excitement, coming to the door of Jungkook’s apartment. Pulling out the key he gave you all that time ago, you unlock the door and go to step in.

“Kookie?!” You call out excitedly, opening the door fully to his apartment. He warned you that he might be late due to his schedule, but you assured you’d be as his place as soon as possible anyway. It’s already been 2 or so years, you don’t want to late any longer.

Hearing a thump from his bedroom, you just manage to take our shoes off before he’s running down the hallway and barreling into you. Shrill giggles leave your lips as he picks you up and spins you around, hugging you close to him.

He kisses you desperately not long after, wrapping his hands around the back of your neck. You feel overwhelmed with emotions, grasping at his shirt as you lean into him just as desperately. Two years is a long time to not see the love of your life.

“Move in with me.” You blink up at him, not actually too surprised with the request. In the time you’ve been apart, he’s brought up more than once not wanting to be far from you ever again. You can’t blame him either, chest having ached constantly from how far apart you were.

“Okay.” You agree without much thought, knowing both of you would be super happy with the development. It’s not like you don’t stay with each other most of the time anyway when you can find the time.

You gaze up at him, awestruck with how long it’s actually been. His hair is on the longer side, he’s got an eyebrow piercing, and his arm is completely full of tattoos. You’d seen pictures of course, but nothing compared to the real thing.

You had both tried your best to keep each other updated on your lives, although it was hard with how busy each of you could get. You had been distraught initially, knowing that you’d miss out on a lot of inner thoughts and feelings, but you had to go nonetheless.

He rouses you out of your thoughts as this time when he brings you to him, he’s lifting you off the floor, face buried in the crook of his neck as he rocks back and forth. You wrap your legs around his waist quietly and give him small kisses on his head.

“I missed you a lot Jungkook. I’m so happy to be home.” Your hear a little sniffle before he tilts his head back to look at you. His eyes are glassy and bright but he has the biggest smile on his face. He’s always been one to show his feelings, and you’re happy to see how giddy he looks.

“I missed you too, so much. Let’s never leave each other for that long again. Now, tell me all about your trip!”
