So, I just had a huge realization today, and it's important. So, my sister is a casual Johnlocker, but she always makes it clear that she will never believe that it will happen on the actual show. She watched the first episode of TJLCE with me, and I could tell she was intrigued but still said no way. Basically no matter what I say, to her Johnlock is an impossible fantasy regardless of how much since it makes. It was so frustrating as she was the only person I had to talk to about this, and I was constantly being shot down. Then yesterday my brother asked me what I thought was going to happen in the new season, and I of course replied, "Johnlock!". Again, my sister scoffed, looked me right in the eye and said, "No way. It's never going to happen." I didn't back down this time and told her, "Yes, it is. I KNOW it is." It was her turn to be frustrated then, and what she said next is what brought me to my epiphany. "No, it's not! It's not going to happen, and you're just going to be upset!" Is what she told me. That's when I realized she wasn't doing this to be a dick or to bring me down or even to spare her own feelings. She was doing it out of love. This whole time she had been trying to spare MY feelings. She's straight, I'm queer. Finding out we've all been queerbaited to the highest degree would hurt me way more than it would hurt her, and she wants to keep me from that pain. She was trying to soften the blow. Now, none of you know me. I haven't been de-lurked long enough for that, but I thought you all would like to hear this anyway. I have pretty bad depression and anxiety, and I pretty much assumed my sister hated me because of how weird it makes me. But that's not important. This made my heart sing a little, even though it also made me sad. Representation is important, and we need it now! Please let my sister ship without worrying about my feelings! She's a smol ginger twig who doesn't deserve this! And I can't wait to see her face when Johnlock is confirmed! tl;dl Johnlock is important for gays and straights. Sometimes people hurt you to protect you. Please save me and my sister from this hell.
