Anyone who is mourning Sherlock and TJLC right now, I suggest watching Hannibal and Torchwood for a queer pick me up. Hannibal has a fantastic slow burn gay romance over three seasons. Unfortunately, it was cancelled in its prime, but the creator, cast, and fans are working hard to bring it back! Torchwood is a queer wonder! Every main character is lgbt. Every. Single. One. It does fall victim to the “kill your gays” trope, but it also features an actual “unkillable gay”, so that’s awesome. Hannibal is on Amazon Prime, and Torchwood is on Netflix. Now go get yourself some love from people who appreciate, love, and listen to their LGBT audience.

Hannibal is what happens when you take a step back, see where your show wants to go, and embrace it wholeheartedly. Sherlock is what happens when you see where your show wants to go, and you fight it tooth and nail until you tear it apart.

OK NOW THAT WE ALL PROVED THAT THE LAST EPISODE OF SHERLOCK COMPLETELY TAINTED THE REST OF THE SHOW, LETS ALL MIGRATE TO THE HANNIBAL FANDOM AND TRY TO GET THAT SHOW BACK ON THE AIR!

C’mon, ladies and gentlefolk! Spend your time on a show that deserves it and relies on it’s fanbase as much as we rely on it! Spend your time on a show that upgrades it’s female characters from the source it was based off of instead of downgrade it. Spend your time on a show that builds chemistry between characters that works on so many levels and doesn’t stab us in the back. Spend your time on a show that has a LESBIAN POWER COUPLE! The creators have pretty much stated that they’d be all for putting the show back on air so lets go save some gay cannibals while we search for a new Sherlock that doesn’t consist of missed opportunities.
