akdjkdkdjd riddd this was so goooood!!!! literally, it was written so, so beautifully 🥺 do not be unsure about this!! the way you wrote in the timeline of 19th century, even the smut...i doubt there are words to describe it 😔✋🏻 and hold up, the twist, rid... are u ok? how could you do that?! cha yujin 😤😶 ngl, i was confused at first so i had to give it a read again lol- but anyway, i enjoyed this a lot ^^ again, it was so beautifully laid out 🤧 I'll share the dialogues that I loved the most :)))

He always said that indulging in dreams didn’t mean a thing if your body didn’t move an inch off the bed. Taehyung pulled his dreams from his memory and gathered them in his palm; then, he blew them into the air like glitter and followed their traces.

“But this is a big thing. He would keep up with such information.” You’re desperate and hurting – it’s no secret. But your voice, strained, could tell a stranger that your heart is cracked, unable to heal. “I sometimes feel like I made him up.”

"please… say something." taehyung looks at you with hopeful eyes, which you can only look away from. he just fucking confessed to you.

"i- i'm sorry taehyung. it's just—"

"stop! stop with your excuses, you think i don't know how you feel?"

you gulp. it's so, so obvious that the two of you have feelings for each other.

so, what is it that you have in mind that's stopping you from being the love of his life? taehyung thinks.

and when he grabs your shoulders, asking you to take whatever doubts you have about the both of you off, you look up at him with slightly teary eyes.

"yes, yes i like you too! but, you need to understand that we can never be anything more than… whatever we are now."

removing his hands from your shoulder, he runs a hand through his hair to calm himself down.

you're surprised when you feel a (large) soft hand running over yours.

"y/n, you don't need to worry about what others think, okay? why can't we just be in a relationship and see how it works out? maybe it isn't that bad!"

"do you realise what you are saying right now?! taehyung-" you take a moment and rub your eyes to get rid of the tears that are spilling down your face.

"you are getting married. your parents have already set you up for an arranged marriage! how could you say you like me?"

"do you want me to get married?" he asks, not even looking at you now.

"what?"

"i thought about ways to get rid of this marriage, and finally be with you. but, are you even willing to fight against everyone… for us?"

clenching your hands together, you shut your eyes tightly. you need to do this now.

"no, i don't want to fight for us. i want you to get together with someone who's better than me. you'll have a much better life."

he looks at you completely shocked.

how could you say something like that?

better than you? but you're the best partner anyone could ever have.

"stop fucking thinking about it that way! you mean the world to me!"

"taehyung, please, let's forget about this? forget we ever even talked about this whole thing."

he suddenly scoffs. and you know, he's crying too, just like you are.

"fine, since you want this. i should get married, right? will you be happy then?"

he receives his answer when you nod at him.
