Ever since you were young, you had always known that your family was different from that of others. You had your parents and older brother, yes, but that was about the only similarity that your family had with the rest. When your mother would take you and your brother out for a meal or to simply play in the playground with other kids, men in fine suits were always lurking. You lived in an estate that could very much be a town from how huge of a land it was, with security cameras and more men in suits lurking about that could. When you had gotten a little older, around the age of thirteen, whenever you would ask your mother permission to go to the mall or have a sleepover at a friend’s house, her answer would always be, “I’ll talk to your father about it” and sometimes, he would agree but the men in fine suits would watch you from afar and you never really got to enjoy that trip to the mall or that sleepover. Most of the time, he wouldn’t.

An Installment to the Polarity Series

The train window had fogged up due to the ruthless cold temperature. However, the snow that fell against it made for a scenic view. Your forehead rested on the glass, eyes lingering on every single snowflake that fell graciously on the city before you.

Tearing slightly away , you took a quick glance around you. The train wasn’t that crowded despite it being Christmas Eve but it was still enough to make you feel slightly suffocated. The loud and bright chattering of people made your body feel uneasy, you didn’t know why such a seemingly happy view brought you so much distress.

Well you did know, it was rooted mainly in the fear of embarrassment, of being judged or feeling out of place. They all triggered that emotion that made you squirm in your seat, the same one that made you want to run away and hide from everyone’s intrusive stares that realistically probably weren’t looking at you at all. But your mind sure convinced you of the opposite.

If only having some much knowledge on the subject would actually change matters for you.

But it never did.

Hold on a hot minute, jungkook says she left him but the promise was “only if you promise not to leave me.” Therefore if he left she was then free to leave.

And he acted and made sure they weren’t friends and all their personal connections were cut by him, he made the contract so he left her first !

Therefore MC didn’t break the promise 👀

i’m glad you noticed that and pointed it out 👀

it’s true that mc didn’t break the promise but that’s all from her pov! you see, their povs clashed. jungkook thought mc broke her promise and mc thought jungkook broke his promise. there’s always 3 sides of a story; person X’s side, person Y’s side and the truth.

we know mc’s story is more detail than jungkook but if you read it a tad bit carefully, you’ll see that jungkook did not break his promise (speaking from his pov). the promise was to not leave each other. it’s true that jungkook acted like he doesn’t know mc and he maintained their relationship as pure boss and employee but he didn’t leave her right ✍🏻

whether he made the contract as a way to manipulate the promise and turn the blame on mc or not, we don’t know 💌 maybe for the upcoming chapters, we’ll get jungkook’s pov and finally the truth 🐣
