Red Flame (Namjoon Drabble, Fluff) Part Two 

Something warm and heavy slung over you, and you grunted. “What the… what’s happening…?”

You half-opened your eyes to see your bedroom with bright light streaming through the crack in the curtains. Looking down, you saw an arm slung over your waist and memories of last night came flooding in… The playful teasings, the sighs that turned into screams, and no less than three times of obtaining the ultimate pleasure. Namjoon was something else.

“Baby?” he murmured, his voice husky from non-use.

You hummed in response and turned over, cuddling up to his chest as he wrapped his arms tighter around you. As you began to form coherent thoughts, you remembered not only the amazing time you had, but also how angry you were. He promised he would do better next time, but you weren’t so sure. After all, he made similar promises before.

A week later, you decided to put Namjoon to the test once more. “We haven’t had much time alone lately,” you said over breakfast.

Joon merely hummed in response, looking around for his keys.

“I was thinking maybe we could go out one night… or maybe, stay in?”

Catching the way your voice went up as your tone grew hopeful, Namjoon looked at you, realizing what you wanted. “Date night?” he said, sitting back down and grabbing one of your hands in his.

You smiled. “Date night.”

“I’ll pick you up at seven.”

As the day descended into evening, you took extra care in getting ready. You put on a light blue wrap-around dress that had cute ruffles and tied in the front with a bow, pairing it with some white flats, and wavy curls. Finally, tonight was the night.

At precisely 6:55, you heard a honk outside. “What the hell?” you thought, peeking outside. Joon’s car was there. He was… early?

You went outside and opened the passenger door, revealing Namjoon dressed in a scrumptious collared black shirt and slacks. His hair was freshly combed, and silver glinted in his ears, making you go weak in the knees. You could hardly believe he was all yours.

The date couldn’t be any more perfect. He took you to a beautiful-yet-casual restaurant, a movie, and finally ended the night presenting you with a rose as the car stopped at a stoplight. “I hope,” Namoon said, looking at you tenderly. “That tonight more than proves that you are my number one priority.”

You blushed, glee spreading from the tip-top of your head down to your toes. “It does. Thank you, Joon.”

“I love you.”

“I love you, too.”

You knew this was far from the last bump in the road of your relationship, though. There would be many times where he would be gone, or wouldn’t be able to devote more than a few minutes to you. However, you knew you would always be in his mind, and more importantly, his heart. After all, he was your soulmate, and your love was forged in the most furious of fire, making it both strong and durable. You wouldn’t have it any other way.
