So in his final stand, to save his Cloud, he has to fight a bunch of people who look JUST LIKE HIS CLOUD and KILL THEM

And that's not the worst part of the day, sure, but think about every life he takes...every single one looking like his best friend...who may be dead somewhere anyway, but he's got to keep killing his best friend's doppelgangers just in case his best friend is still alive...

Sometimes I think about how there’s a whole community of people who love their fandoms enough to spend countless hours writing about them for free and a whole community of people who love their fandoms enough to spend countless hours reading those fics … and it makes me so happy to be part of something so amazing.

Why do people in Final Fantasy VII fandom insult each other over different interpretations of any one small scene, and call developers - who have been getting about 2 hour of sleep per day for the last 10 years - lazy, and have ship wars, and get enraged at everything that's different from original game, and hate new voice actors, and hate fans who hate new voice actors, and call people stupid for not agreeing with their wild speculations definitive statements about the third part which doesn't even exist yet, and call other fans names and insult them because they don't agree with them over the smallest detail, and always upvote the most negative hot take on every video and reddit thread, and try to make everyone feel angry and miserable, and hate Genesis, and hate Zack, and hate Yuffie, and hate Whispers, and hate, hate, hate, hate...

When we could all instead just gush over how perfect Zack Fair is? 🥰

Honestly, I'm all for sephiroth and jenova being practically the same thing bc the repeated use of the word puppet by sephiroth himself feels very ironic and bitter. Telling cloud that he doesn't have emotions, that he was created in a lab and that his memories are fake, all of them. That he didn't have a childhood. Never was a child. And yeah, sephiroth being 100% in control and just very unwell also fits in this, in his projection over cloud being his puppet just like he was Shinra's, even though he would never acknowledge it. But I just like the idea that he believes himself freed from everyone's strings, finally in control of his own life for once, just to be too blind to realize that not even those choices were his own bc following orders is still the only thing he knows
