Tonight's dessert: Lavender Mint Ice Cream with Earl Grey & Lavender Cream Drop Scones. I don't think I really care for either recipe very much. Certainly not enough to share. If I attempt either again and it comes out better, I'll share then.

The reason I don't like the ice cream is because it's rather lumpy. My folks have convinced me that I tempered the eggs correctly, so I think it's just fat from the cream? Either way, I don't like the residue it leaves on the spoon. And the scones are just... weird. I've never made drop scones without butter before, and I had to add an extra cup of flour to make the batter thick enough. Like I said, weird.

I keep trying out different green tea powders, trying to find the best tasting at the most reasonable cost. This one is a definite no, though it dissolved better than it's buddy. My favorite so far has been Rishi's Sweet Matcha, which came in a resealable little black pouch.

Going to buy Teavana's Matcha Green Tea sometime this week, see how that one fares.

Day 22 of the project, posting on Day 24. My usual video site is in read-only mode, but I don't want to get even more behind on postings. Just a little nothing video, another moving picture, taken during some really great weather. Cool, crisp, and slightly dreary, my favorite kind of day.

Mmm, a green tea latte, some Bing Crosby, and a new toy! A nice evening, defintiely. Was inspired to buy this little guy after watching the newest episode of Skins (the good version). I think I already love Franky.

Lesson: do not leave off posting to this project for more than a day. Because then suddenly you might realize your camera's internal calendar is off by AN HOUR AND 7 MINUTES, and it might take you almost half an hour to sort out exactly what picture was taken on which day.

Forgot about the project this day, then suddenly it's a few minutes to midnight, and I'm too stressed out trying to delete this creepy program from my computer to find something to record. So I just grabbed the camera, snapped, and went back to work.

Pretty sure the program is all gone now, in case you were wondering. The internet is very helpful in these matters.

Today, instead of going out and buying eggs to start on Sub Project #1, I stayed in and discovered the joys of The Big Fat Quiz Of The Year. Noel Fielding and Russell Brand are actually rather charming, aren't they? I'd no idea. Now It's after 10, I'm still without eggs, but it's raining and I feel cheery and content.
