All while just writing a scene to start with.

Your membership poll-winning scene is 1,645 words long, and I will continue writing for another hour or so. It may very well be done and posted to my Patreon tonight or tomorrow morning.

Chapter 11 is currently at 7,888 words and only 1/3 through what I want to include in the mega chapter.

Hello, dearest readers!

I just wanted to update you. I should be getting a new modified ankle brace on Friday (yay, no more walking boots)!!!

Physical therapy starts on 8/2!

I am scheduled for surgery (outpatient) on Friday 7/26.

It should be simple, in and out, with about 3-4 days of not moving and then snail paces after that.

This means it will be prime for writing (while awake bc painkillers can knock me out) for the next few weeks!

I have a consultation today with an orthopedic surgeon for my right shoulder and right knee to see if they need to be operated on or not.

My oldest is FINALLY scheduled for their right knee surgery on 8/13, so things will be interesting for a while after that, but I will still do as much as I can.

With the poll results, I present a results of "How did Bangtan deal without the personal items that Jungkook, Yoongi, and Seokjin too for Y/n's nest?"

“What? Why? It’s mine, hyung. I brought it from home,” Namjoon hears Taehyung whine.

“I just need it. I will explain later. I promise,” Seokjin pleads as he rolls up the younger’s blanket. 

“Joonie, I need yours too. Just give me a few, and I can explain it all, or Jungkook-ah can explain it,” he looks at me with wide, excited but purpose-driven eyes.

“Yeah, of course. Is everything alright? Do you guys need any help?” Namjoon asks while folding up his blanket to give to the eldest mate. The Prime Alpha is now on edge, thinking something is wrong with one of his mates.

“Nope! We have it. It’s okay; just making things better,” Seokjin says with a massive grin. He yanks the blanket from Namjoon’s hands and runs out the door, yelling, “Got it! Here, take Joonies. It's too much to carry both.”

“Got it,” responds Jungkook. “I also have Jimin’s body pillow.”

“I got Hobi’s feather pillow, too. Do you think it’s enough?” Yoongi chimes in. The loud steps down the stairs muffle the rest of the conversation.

“That was… why are they taking stuff?” asks Taehyung.

“I have no idea. Maybe the others know what’s gotten into them,” says Namjoon.

Walking to the doorway, he is greeted with the confused looks and bed hair of Jimin and Hoseok. 

“Do you know what’s going on?” Namjoon asks the two.

“Not even! They just came in, grabbed the bedding we brought, then bolted,” Hoseok complains, stomping his foot. 

“How am I going to get any sleep without my body pillow? All the beds in the dens are separated,” whines Jimin as he holds up Hoseok, who has dramatically leaned against him. At this point, Taehyung has also moved to the doorway and looks just as lost as the rest of us. 

With all the traveling the pack does with tours and events, the personal bedding was one way to keep them grounded. Seokjin, Yoongi, and Jungkook all knew this. It was even Seokjin’s idea to try it out, and it worked. So why are they taking it all away?

“There is a nesting room in this Airbnb. Why don’t we all sleep in there tonight, hmm?” Namjoon suggests. He walks over to Jimin with a little extra sway to his hips, “You can use me as a body pillow. Will that work?”

I trailed after Dr. Kim through the back of the clinic, past doors that I was sure weren’t meant for regular people like me to walk through. After receiving my okay and assuring my mother that we would be back before too long, Dr. Kim led me out of the exam room and into a much more private section of the building. Taking in the rooms around me, it really didn’t even look like a hospital anymore. The walls were bare, no signage and no room numbers to be seen. Instead, it looked like offices, and I wondered if this was where the staff spent their time when they weren’t seeing patients. The hall opened up into a huge communal space, windows lining every wall from floor to ceiling and plant life flourished throughout the floor plan in fancy concrete window boxes. I had to remind myself to keep walking even as I took it all in. Trees reached for the high ceilings, flowers in mid blossom reaching their little petals towards the sun wherever they could find it, even a small stream cut through the room, the water some of the clearest I’d ever seen before.

Dr. Kim headed for one of the garden bridges, pausing halfway across to turn and offer me a hand. Though I was sure I didn’t need it, I accepted gratefully anyway, letting him help me across the wooden structure to the other side of the water.

“This place is beautiful.”

Dr. Kim looked around as if he were appreciating it for the first time, continuing to lead us through the room.

“It’s meant to be a place for staff to recharge, literally and figuratively.” He chuckled.

“Figuratively?”

He nodded. “Nature doesn’t just revive our species. Humans benefit from it as well. It’s a tangible resource that sustains life, but it also heals the mind and body. In a way, humans aren’t much different from Draas.”

In a way… I thought to myself as I watched the sun bring out the iridescence of his skin.

“Ahh, there they are.”

I shifted my attention from Dr. Kim to his line of sight. It wasn’t hard to figure out exactly who he was talking about. Though the room wasn’t empty, it seemed like its inhabitants kept their distance from one table in particular. Two individuals sat across from each other, one very clearly talking animatedly, while the other had slunk down in his seat to lean his head against the back of his chair. His obsidian hair falling in graceful waves behind him while he basked in the sun, eyes closed. His pale skin shimmered like diamonds, only visible when leaves from a nearby tree blew in the subtle breeze through the building and shadowed his figure.

While there was no denying that Draas were unnaturally beautiful, he was even more so. I even found myself admiring him shamelessly. The one across the table from him noticed our approach first, a bright smile taking over his features as he stood to greet Dr. Kim.

“Namjoon! Have you come to join us?”

“Unfortunately, I’m here on business.” He shrugged, though it didn’t escape my attention that he seemed to visibly relax in the presence of these two. “Did you dye your hair again?”

The line of inquiry had me looking over the man in question. He was tall and lean; his physique clad in the traditional black suits only worn by Draas of rank. His features were sharp, his side profile one of perfection that left even I envious, but his smile was the most striking thing about him. It was vibrant, contagious as he nodded in answer to Dr. Kim. He ran a shapely hand through his bold platinum blonde locks.

“I’m trying something new. Do you like it?”

“It looks nice.” Namjoon complimented him. “Your blue is already starting to show through again.”

Sure enough, looking a bit closer, I could see hints of a light robin’s egg shade peeking through the near white. As if he would be able to see it himself, the man tugged on a strand of hair, stretching it out in front of him and nearly making his eyes cross as he looked.

“Aw man, I just colored it yesterday. Yoongi, you must not have covered it well enough.” He pouted, turning back to the man still relaxed in his chair.

“Don’t blame that on me. You know the color never lasts any time you change it.” He mumbled in return.

The lure in conversation must have been his cue that he wasn’t going to get any more of a nap in. Lazily, he sat up, drilling a hard stare into his friend before looking to Dr. Kim and me. A tightness formed in my chest meeting eyes with him, his were dark, irises indistinguishable from his pupils in a shade dark enough to match his hair. That intense gaze didn’t linger on me for long before it moved to Dr. Kim.

“What business?”

His voice was rich, beautiful, but exceedingly disinterested. Cold in a way I had never heard from someone before, the total opposite of the warmth his friend seemed to exude. Never had I felt at a loss in front of someone, but I was beginning to feel anxious in his presence. Not missing a beat, Dr. Kim placed a hand on my shoulder, gently nudging me forward.

“I’d like you to meet someone. Y/N L/N. She’s newly registered.”

He blinked, crossing his arms in a way that suggested he was wondering why that would have anything to do with him.

“And?”

“And…” Namjoon dragged the word out, squeezing my shoulder comfortingly. “I’m matching the two of you.”
