DOUMA!READER X ZHONGLI

100 FOLLOWER EVENT
during your first meeting, Zhongli liked your approachable and calming nature at first, but the more he sat with you, he found it unnerving, forced, if you will. although, he looked forward to meeting you again.
you two entered a relationship, your first emotion was love, really. the archaic lord attracted your attention, and even though you never felt any sort of emotion, he stepped into your life, and guess what happened. the archon has a hard time figuring out his emotions, however, feels emotions like a normal human being.
he quickly deciphered your lack of emotions and tried to help you gain them back, and you couldn't be more grateful. his presence, really, is enough to make you feel emotions even you were unaware of. out of all the lies you tell yourself and you shroud your heart in, you know your feelings for Zhongli are authentic, and you're grateful for that. he understands your nihilism, yet, he doesn't seem to feel the same. out of all the battles and lives he has taken, he doesn't seem to feel what you feel.
despite all of this, you still retain your unnerving cheerful personality, though. it was very realistic, not even the most observant people would know you were hollow, devoid inside. you were a masochist, it was obvious, due to the amount of joy you received while sparring-- and that inspired Zhongli to seek Childe. for sparring purposes, obviously. (Childe was ecstatic, not only were you strong, but you were unrelenting even with your masochism.)
if you had the blood demon art similar to Doma's, he'll be even more terrified of you. his first thought was relating to the Tsaritsa, however, you might take that as an insult. you were stronger than the Tsaritsa, that much is obvious. you proved that quite a lot when you present your abilities. the former geo archon was quite terrified of you being stronger than an archon, but his worries faltered because of how soft you are towards him, but to others... well.
overall, a pretty wholesome yet troublesome relationship. Zhongli didn't like you making fun of him of his mora predicament, but you didn't stop. if he expresses his distress about this topic to you, though, you will smile and understand. you remained neutral when he told you about his true identity, grin not faltering, and showering him with affection after that.

Are fedoras really that bad?

YES YES THEY ARE
Contract 1: Winds of Change
Good morning, Agent. Your destination is Mondstadt, the land of the wind. Your targets are Venti, Kaeya Alberich, and Diluc Ragnvindr.
The bard Venti is an elusive whirlwind in Mondstadt, recently taking the nation by storm with his music and poetry. Do not be tricked by his childish demeanor: our analysts were unable to find anything on his history except that he is somehow linked to various world leaders, including the Tsaritsa of Snezhnaya. I do not doubt that while he will have a public performance at the Cathedral grounds, he could easily slip into invisibility if provoked. He will be a slippery target indeed.
Kaeya Alberich is the Cavalry Captain of the Knights of Favonius, but without his cavalry, he has fully dedicated himself to espionage. Alberich frequents bars and taverns both to drink and gather information, which he then uses to carry out Favonian raids. Among his colleagues he is a shadow and a lone wolf, often acting in gray morality at best to get the job done. Alberich is self-reliant, and dangerously so. He has proven to be more of a chameleon than his military position demands of him and has mastered social stealth and observational skills. It will be almost impossible to sneak anything past him.
Lastly, Diluc Ragnvindr is the head of the Dawn Winery, a company that owns a sizable amount of Mondstadt’s total profits including complete monopoly over its wine industry. With how much Mondstadtians love their wine, it comes as no surprise that Ragnvindr is the wealthiest and by effect most powerful man in the nation. But you won’t find him in the city. Instead, he is busy hosting a ball at the winery for the entire day, though no one knows what he does at night. He has a history of exemplary fighting skill, and though he has retired from the Knights, he still bears a Pyro Vision.
Ludi Harpastum, the most exciting event in the Mondstadt year, is in full swing—meaning that the capital city will be dense with activity. As a result, the Knights of Favonius and Fatui delegation are on high alert, turning this little city into a virtual fortress.
OPPORTUNITIES - various methods of approaching the target, these opportunities are discovered on site, often by overhearing conversations or conducting investigation and reconaissance.
Venti | A Drink to Die For: Interesting. So before Venti’s anticipated performance, he will stop by for a drinking tour of the entire festival. On second thought, the drinking tour might be the main event. Expect plenty of opportunities to pose as a server or sommelier, but act quickly: Venti is not a man of taking things slow.
Venti | Height of Fame: Have a look at these setup notes. It indicates that some hidden scaffolding has been placed to make the statue of Barbatos easy to climb. According to festival tradition, one citizen will be picked to throw a ring of flowers from the top of the statue. And if this is a popularity contest, who wouldn’t vote for the darling bard?
Venti | Curtains Closed: Hmm. Following his performance, Venti has disappeared off to the woods outside the city. The forest is dark and tangled, but there will be no eyes on you. Care to play cat and mouse, Agent?
Kaeya | Death After Noon: Alberich, for all his vigilance, is a known drunkard - quite the feat considering how many in Mondstadt vie for the title. And it just so happens that the Cat’s Tail, one of his frequent haunts, has a newly hired bartender who coincidentally looks just like you.
Kaeya | Et Tu, Brute?: It appears that Alberich does attend to his office duties from time to time. The Knights’ Headquarters are heavily guarded and difficult to infiltrate, but once inside, you have a guaranteed closed space with the target and nowhere for him to run. Posing as a knight might work, but only for a while. Alberich is quick to recognize a face.
Kaeya | A Brother Left Behind: According to this psychological report, Alberich had been suddenly estranged from his adopted brother, Diluc Ragnvindr, following their father’s death. Tensions between the two have been frosty at best, but it seems that tonight Alberich will attempt at a reconciliation just outside the Winery. I assume he intends to do this alone and unguarded.
Diluc | Beauty of the Ball: As you know, Ragnvindr is hosting a party at the winery, where only the elite of Mondstadt and beyond are invited. This is a chance to get up close and personal with the target, whether over a glass of wine or shadowing him to somewhere quiet. If you pose as a potential investor, you could do both.
Diluc | A Fine Vintage: Looking at the program, it appears that Ragnvindr will be having a private wine tasting at the winery’s cellar with the nation’s finest. The bottle in question will be a newly engineered blend of Dandelion Wine, held so closely in confidence that not even Ragnvindr knows what the bottle looks like or who will present it.
Diluc | A Shadow in the Knight: Mondstadt is brimming with urban myths, the newest of which being this ‘Darknight Hero.’ The nighttime vigilante is suspected to be highly skilled in combat, can wield fire somehow, and incredibly wealthy. Sound familiar? Ragnvindr may be at the winery for the day, but I don’t think he could resist rumors of a danger lurking within the city.
With three targets on your back, this won’t be an easy assignment, but you didn’t come here for an easy time. I will leave you to prepare. Good luck, Agent.
I recently came out to my mother's side of the family who are majority conservative christians and it went much better than I expected. Like, they were weirdly supportive. I only got one comment insinuating that I might possibly be going to hell but it came from my aunt and she's dying soon anyway so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Anyway, I'm telling them how shocked I am and that I honestly thought that they'd have more of a problem with it when my grandma is like "Well you know we've been through this before with your uncle Nicky" and I'm like "what" and so it turns out that my uncle Nick was born a Natalie, came out as a boy at 19, and my great grandma proceeded to pay for his top surgery and hormone therapy. In 1974. And I just had to process for a bit because my entire life no one has referred to him as anything other than he/him and his chosen name. I ask why no one ever thought to mention this and they're just like "tbh we forgot. It's been so long that he's been a man" This man is married. He has a wife and three kids. I ask my relatives how they went about having kids, whether through adoption or sperm donor or what and none of them know. Apparently he just told everyone that they were gonna be parents and then one day showed up at my grandma's house with a baby. No questions were asked. Just. He and his wife had a baby now and that was that. Three times. Weeks later when I finally talk to my aunt Sarah (Nick's wife) all she tells me is that neither of them have ever been pregnant and, I quote, "sometimes you just come into children". She phrased it like people use the phrase "come into money". Like children are something that just happens to you. I ask my relatives if any of them had a problem with Nick being trans at the time, saying I'd understand if they had negative feelings about it, as it was the 1970s after all. They were like "nope" and i was just like "you didn't think anything of it?" And my grandfather was like "these things happen" while the other adults nodded sagely. So I guess the moral here is that if my conservative christian relatives could accept my uncle as trans in the 1970s then there really isn't any excuse for anyone. And also my family needs to ask more questions because I'm fairly sure my aunt and uncle stole their kids.
I'm laughing my ass off at that last sentence- But I'm so glad your coming out went well! That's one heck of a way to find out you have LGBT relatives.

You awed at the beautiful flowers you passed by, like hidden jewels in the grass at a distance, you were careful with your steps. You clasped your bag securely to your chest, inching towards the river filled with gemstones. The sun sparkled them even more, causing you to flutter your eyes as you picked one up and ran, knowing someone was watching. You ran as fast as your feet would take you, afraid of the creatures that now were alarmed by your presence, you immediately ducked into a sort of den, leafs, vines and moss acting like curtains. You fell on your back and leaned up against the wall as you heard some muttering outside.
You held the beautiful gem in your hands, your dirt caked fingers outlining the curves of it.
You steadied your breath when suddenly you heard a young boy calling to you.
"I know you're there, come out!"
You were dumbfounded.
"..n‐no! They mean to kill me!", your voice cracked at the end, obviously scared almost half to death.
"Stealing is wrong, but we don't kill over it. Now, come out! Come out this instant!"
You slowly got up and hid the gem quietly in your pocket, peeking out and adjusting your eyes to the bright sun before slowly and sheepishly standing face to face with the young boy.
You both stared at each other for a bit, taking in each other's features. The boy was beautiful, he had black horns protruding from his scalp, long silky hair, and huge wings that were similar to that of a raven. His eyes were like green leaves of flowers after a summer rain.
He cleared his throat and opened his mouth hesitantly to ask, "you're just a girl.. you're not fully grown yet?"
"You're just a boy too" you breathed out, forgetting all your fears in that moment.
---
Having been forced to return the gem, you were quite a bit grumpy, but had a fruitful conversation with the boy. He told you about his wings, his horns, other fae like him and more. You and him both shared a gratefulness of experiencing a green childhood, surrounded by plants and fresh fruits. He chuckled fondly at some of your more sarcastic remarks about how the animals of your barn had been eating up your socks lately, and inquisitively listened as you told him all about your little book knowledge.
You both finally reached the border of the Moors, where you saw your home in the distance, and took a deep breath, observing in a comfortable silence with the fae beside you.
"That's my home in the distance," you said, pointing at it, your body turned to him. "It's not much, but we're all very happy". He looked longingly at it, then turned to you. "Will you be coming here again?" He asked. "If you'll be here the next time I do." You answered cheekily. He laughed and offered a goodbye-handshake. You gladly took his hand until
"Ouch!"
"What happened?"
You immediately retracted your hand, cringing at the pain you caused him. He held his hand and told you, "Your ring. Iron hurts fae."
You looked at the iron ring with distaste, taking it off quickly and throwing it in the distance, somewhere off in the grass. You turned to him and offered a meek smile, and he smiled back. "I'll see you again sometime soon then. Goodbye, Malleus."
..
The boy sat under a tree, looking at the black and inky sky littered with diamonds of it's own, thinking about the strange encounter, of how you who had so little threw it away just so his hands could touch yours again. And smiled, playfully fluttering a leaf between his fingers.
