"You are dripping on my lovely new floor," said Rafal. Rhian blinked at the black stone tiles, grimy and thick with soot.

“All sorcery is half illusion. The other half, unfortunately, was blood-soaked terror.” ― Alexandra Bracken
Inspired by the nursery rhyme "Rub-a-dub-dub":
Rub-a-dub-dub, Three mortals in a tub, And who do you think they be? The princess, the witch, the former School Master, Run from the burnt Wizard Tree.
if she's your girl then how come she's hallucinating my 10,000-y.o. dripping wet corpse
If I were to address Rafal after part II of TOTSMOV41, I'd say: "Ok... that’s too much bathtub in one day for you, sir. Time to get out—"
Then again, there's something odd I'm trying to puzzle out: did he do that one Particular Spoilery Thing deliberately or not? Even I haven't decided yet and I can't quite decide, so I might leave it ambiguous. Basically, he comes across more sympathetically if The Thing is not deliberate, and he comes across as clever if The Thing is deliberate. This is a bit of a conundrum. And at the same time, The Thing is not from his pov at that time of the story, so it probably doesn't matter, knowing or not knowing. Ergo, whichever way the truth goes (and I suppose it could be both), Sophie and Agatha (in their povs) can think whatever they'd like, if either awards him the benefit of the doubt.
Although it was deceptively sunny and cold out today, I had an actual Rafal sighting! /j
list 5 things that make you happy, then send this to the askbox of the last 10 people who liked or reblogged something from you! get to know your mutuals and followers! <3
1. Books, short stories, plays, the written word in general, film, fanfiction. (As far as I'm concerned, all these things are different mediums of the same thing: storytelling.)
2. Being right (or "right") about things.
3. Interesting discussion/discourse.
4. Unstructured time.
5. Material things like my laptop, cheese, the birds outside that go "cheep," my irreplaceable house slippers, etc. The list would probably be too long; you likely get the point.
