Staying in the Shadows (A Naruto Fanfiction) Chapter 3 - Kakashi Hatake
Chapter 1 Chapter 2
After travelling for two days, Jinko and Mitsuki finally reached the gates of the Hidden Leaf Village. "Jinko, how do you suppose we get in?" Mitsuki asked, looking at the gate. He now knew the flaw in his plan. How would he get in? Let alone stay there, without a valid reason. Jinko smiled at him, "Don't worry we'll get in." 'If they remember that is,' she thought. Jinko started towards the gate with Mitsuki dragging along with her.
"Hey! Who are you?" called out the guards, when they passed the village gate. A man with spiky black hair with a straight scar on his left cheek, walked up to both of them. "State your purpose," he demanded.
"I'm Jinko Tao of the Tao clan. I'm, or rather was a Leaf shinobi," Jinko replied. Mitsuki looked at her in disbelief. Is she telling the truth? Mitsuki never knew where she was from, he just saw her everyday for as long as he could remember. He never asked her where she was from or how she knew his father. He never asked and she never said. He didn't feel the need to know such things as long as she was there with him. "Tao clan huh? Where's your head band?" asked the guard, skeptically. "Like I said, I was a Leaf shinobi. I'm not a ninja anymore." 'Jinko used to be a ninja?' Mitsuki thought not believing his ears. "What about him?" the guard looked at Mitsuki. "He's with me. Look, it would be very grateful of you if you'd just let me meet Lord Hokage," Jinko pleaded. The guard looked at both, Mitsuki and Jinko, and nodded. He lead the way and soon the duo found themselves standing in front of the Hokage's office. "Wait here. Let me check with Lord Hokage," the guard instructed. Mitsuki nodded, whereas Jinko was paralysed with fear to hear anything. Behind the doors was the man she once knew and called him her sensei. What would he think when he will her see walking through the doors? Would he recognise her? Her thoughts flashed back to the first day she met him.
Jinko walked through the streets of Konoha worrying about the graduation exam which was to be held the next day. "Naruto!" she heard a man yell, as a very hyperactive, loud, yellow haired boy ran past her. 'What did he do this time?' Jinko sighed. She saw a can of paint in his hand. She shrugged and started walking her way towards the Academy.
Jinko entered the classroom and sat in her usual seat, at the back. She looked around and saw Sasuke Uchiha staring intently at the blank black board. 'Ugh, moody,' she scoffed. The classroom was empty, nobody had come yet except for her and Uchiha, which was not uncommon. Jinko always came thirty minutes early because her elder brother used to drop her off before going on his training but she always found Sasuke in the classroom before her. Once, Jinko was two hours early because her brother had to go on a mission and even then she found Sasuke in the same position. She doubts he even goes home. "H-hi Sasuke," she tried making a conversation with him, hoping he'd reply this time. He didn't even look her way, again not uncommon. Jinko put her head down, feeling dejected. Why does she do this every time? She needs to have some self-respect. She put her head down on the desk when she heard the classroom door open and saw Choji and Shikamaru coming in. Jinko immediately straightened herself up. Her cheeks was tainted pink when she saw Shikamaru walking in. "Hey, Shikamaru what are you doing here so early?" she asked. "My mom kicked me out. What a drag," Shikamaru replied with his usual bored expression. He then sat at his usual place next to her while Choji went front sat at the first bench. Jinko had always found Shikamaru cute. He has been very good to her. He didn't tease her, never called her 'dumbbelle' or made fun of her either. He never bothered to take any interest in her to be honest. He talked to her because she used to and mainly because she wasn't one of the Sasuke fans. She was just like him and his friends — laid back. She was tolerable to him, 'not so troublesome' in his words. However, she was a girl after all, although not much but she was still troublesome.
Soon the class started filling in and everyone was seated in their own place. Jinko had already started to drift off, unfortunately Ino was seated on her bench as well and Sakura was seated in front of Ino and next to Sasuke. They were bickering constantly and to hope that she might get a nap would be stupid. Shikamaru was annoyed as well, Jinko chuckled at him. Suddenly a loud crash and Naruto yelling, "It was just a prank!" was heard. Jinko looked up from her folded hands which were rested on top of the desk to see Naruto tied up in a rope.
Iruka sensei, their teacher, was yelling at Naruto for painting the Hokage's face sculptures. 'Oh, so that explains the paint can,' she thought. She smiled at Naruto's antics. 'That boy is something else,' she thought. Naruto just like Shikamaru was one of the few friends of Jinko. The whole class saw Naruto as an idiot who was brazen and annoying but Jinko always had a good laugh with him. There was not a moment when Jinko would be upset and Naruto wasn't there to cheer her up. Even if he didn't try, laughing was easy with Naruto.
"That's it! Since you missed it, everyone would practice their transformation jutsus again!" Iruka sensei yelled. A cumulative groan was heard in the class. "We always have to pay for your mistakes Naruto!" Ino spoke with venom. Iruka called out names of students and they transformed into Iruka to the perfection. Next it was Naruto's turn. He strode in front and did his hand sign. A blue sphere of chakra surrounded him and he transformed into... a naked woman. Jinko snorted and Iruka sensei tumbled back with a nosebleed."Quit it!" he scolded. He dismissed the class and Jinko sighed in relief.
The next day was the graduation exam. The day which would decide if they were fit to be a Genin. To say that Jinko was on the edge would be an understatement. Jinko was only a step away to be pushed over the edge and to have a nervous breakdown. Everyone was sitting in the class waiting to be judged by Mizuki sensei and Iruka sensei. One by one, students left the room for their exam and Jinko was left with Naruto, Sasuke and Ino. Soon her name was called and Naruto wished her luck.
"You're supposed to make three solid clones Jinko. Go ahead when you're ready," Mizuki sensei instructed. Jinko prayed to her lucky stars for help. Jinko remembered the hand seals — Dog → Boar → Ram. 'Okay, now all I need to do is focus my chakra,' she thought to herself. Jinko concentrated all of her chakra and did the hand seals. Jinko had her eyes closed, she could feel her chakra dividing but she couldn't make herself to open her eyes and see the result. "You can open your eyes, Jinko," Mizuki sensei said. She opened her eyes and saw a single solid clone. Iruka sensei sighed. Jinko held her head in shame. She knew she had disappointed her sensei and was definitely going to fail her exam. Before anyone could say any thing, Jinko started towards the door. "Hold on Jinko," Iruka stopped her. "You may have not made three clones like I asked you to but you did make a good solid clone. I may let this one slide." Jinko looked at her sensei in disbelief, "What do you mean?" "I mean that you've have passed. Come take your headband," Iruka smiled at her. Jinko rushed towards the table and hugged her sensei. Iruka was taken aback but he patted her head nevertheless. Jinko maybe be weak in her academia but she was a good student. Yes, she sleeps all through her lectures but she was an ideal student. Never talked back and did her homework on time. She tried hard. Always. She just couldn't give the desired results. He knew very well that she slept in class only because she stayed up all night practicing what had been taught in school. Iruka didn't have it in his heart to not give her the headband after all she had done to earn it. "Enough now. Go home," Iruka pulled away and gave Jinko her headband. Jinko beamed. That moment was the happiest moment of her life. Jinko's graduation was celebrated like a festival at her home.
The next morning, all the Genins were supposed to go to the Academy for their orientation programme after submitting their profile to Lord Hokage. "Hey Jinko!" Jinko stopped in her tracks and saw Naruto rushing towards her. He stood before her and pointed to his forehead proudly. Jinko's eyes traveled to his forehead and saw the Leaf Shinobi headband tied around it. "You passed?" Jinko asked incredulous. She didn't mean to sound rude but she heard that only Naruto had failed the exam. Yet, here he was showing off his headband clad forehead. "You bet. I would explain how I got it but it's a long story. Right now we've an orientation to go to!" he beamed. Naruto took hold of Jinko's hand and dragged her to the Academy.
They all sat at their usual seats and waited for Iruka sensei to give them further instructions. Their free time was filled with girls fighting over Sasuke and Naruto kissing Sasuke. This was not appreciated by the Sasuke fanclub and Naruto faced their wrath. Finally Iruka sensei came in and the class settled down. He instructed how the students will be divided into groups of three with the exception of one as there was an odd number. These groups would have a Jonin as their sensei. The rest of the instructions didn't matter anymore because the students heard what they wanted to hear — groups of three. Secretly everyone started to hope of being placed in the squad with their friends or crushes. Jinko could see Ino's eyes widened, looking over at Sasuke hopefully. She could feel Sakura and Ino trying to one up each other in their heads. Jinko sighed, she could never see what the girls saw in that kid. Sure he was cute and she might have crushed on him too had he not been so rude towards her. Jinko wasn't the only one to receive such treatment from Sasuke, everyone from the class had the same experience. Somehow, the Uchiha had gotten in his head that everyone is beneath him and doesn't deserve his time. To think that these girls liked him even after all this was unbelievable. However she wasn't far too different from them, she was also hoping to get into team of someone but instead of Sasuke she hoped it to be Shikamaru.
Iruka sensei began calling out names and placed them in squads. "Team 7: Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, Sasuke Uchiha, and Jinko Tao," he announced.
"Iruka sensei! Why does a guy like me had to be teamed up with a slug like Sasuke?" Naruto called. "That's because Sasuke had the highest scores, and Sakura had the second highest scores. To balance out, we put you with the lowest scores and Jinko with the second lowest scores in their team. Get it Naruto?" Iruka replied. The whole class was laughing and Jinko slid in her seat embarrassed. 'Why did he have to do that?' she scolded Naruto in her head. Jinko's mood dipped even below when Iruka announced that Shikamaru was in team with Ino and Choji. She looked at Ino beside her and saw Shikamaru smirking at Ino. 'Look at her, she is so perfect with her hair and her face. You're stupid Jinko, you are the second runner up in lowest grades! What did you think would happen!' Jinko thought.
Iruka told them that they would meet their new sensei after the break, so everyone dispersed to their designated classroom with their assigned team. Ino and Shikamaru stood up and made their way towards the classroom door together. Jinko kept looking at them till they were out of sight. "Ya know, even if you told him he still wouldn't get it," Naruto said, sliding right in her face. "Huh? Pfft. I don't even know what you're talking about," Jinko shrugged him off with her hand and sat beside Sakura. They waited for almost an hour and yet their new sensei didn't showed up. Naruto and Sakura were rambling about how late that guy is while Sasuke was again busy staring the black board with his hands folded. Suddenly Naruto had a great idea of sticking the duster in middle of the door and its frame. "He's a Jonin, you think he'd fall for that?" Jinko and Sasuke argued. "My brother's a Chunin and even he wouldn't fall for that!" Jinko added.
But all of them were proven wrong when a silver haired man with a mask on his face opened the door and the duster fell on him. Naruto rolled on the floor laughing while Jinko, Sasuke and Sakura doubted their teachers skills. "My first impression of this group: you all are idiots," their new teacher replied nonchalantly. This irked Sakura and Sasuke while Naruto was still laughing and Jinko wondered what's behind his mask.
They were called up on the roof of the academy for their introductions. The masked man was leaning on the railing and they all were sitting on a step. "Okay, I'd like to have your introductions. You could include your name, your hobby, what you like, what you don't like and your dream for the future," the Jonin said. "Why don't you show us how it's done," Naruto suggested. 'Seriously? All you have to do is put in your details,' Jinko thought rolling her eyes. "Okay. My name is Kakashi Hatake, I like many things and I don't hate many things. I'd not say my hobby to you and as for my dream... I haven't thought about it," he finished. Jinko dropped her head. 'All he did was say his name,' she thought. "Now you go," her new sensei, Kakashi Hatake pointed at Naruto. Naruto's likes, dislikes and hobbies revolved around eating ramen and his dream was to be Hokage some day so people would stop treating him like pest and finally start appreciating him but Jinko knew this already, after all Naruto was her best friend. Next was Sakura's turn, and unsurprisingly her likes, dreams and hobbies revolved around Sasuke and she caused Naruto to fall from his place when she said she disliked Naruto. Jinko patted Naruto's back. To hear one's crush say they hated them was tough. Next came Uchiha. His likes were nothing and dislikes were many things, that's what he said, to the word. He didn't have any hobby. This wasn't out of character for him but what was weird that he said his dream was to kill someone and restore his clan. Sasuke then glaced at Naruto which made the colour of Naruto's face to drain. "I didn't know they were such bitter rivals," Jinko muttered. Naruto himself was thinking of what did he do wrong.
"Okay now you the one with the cap on," Kakashi pointed at Jinko who was the last remaining member of the group. "My name is Jinko Tao," she started. "I like reading, and drinking tea. Uh, I don't like carrots. My hobby is reading and my dream is to become the best kunoichi!" Jinko heard Sasuke scoff as she finished. Naruto was beaming at her and she looked at Kakashi to see him uninterested. Jinko's heart fell. Maybe she was over estimating herself.
"Okay. I want you all to meet me tomorrow at the training grounds at 5 am. Do not eat anything or else you'd vomit," Kakashi sensei instructed before disappearing in a poof of smoke.

My feed has been blessed with these lovely faces of our ancestors
today in “things i’m disproportionately emotional about”:
it’s facial reconstructions of prehistoric humans!!
like, look at this part-homo sapiens, part-neandertal man from well over 30,000 years ago:

doesn’t he just look like a dude you’d wanna hang out with? like he probably washes dishes in the kitchen with you, and has excellent weed

what a charming fellow. what stories he probably has to tell. i’d definitely go shoot the shit with him on Contemplation Rock after i’d finished my day’s work carving a bone flute for the autumn hunting ceremony, or whatever
people have been people ever since people first became people, i tell you what
they all had lives and histories and families and friends and dumb gossip and games they played and total bullshit in which they believed wholeheartedly
they all argued about the nature of the world, and of themselves
they all sang songs
they all drew pictures
they all buried their dead in graves, and they buried their dead in graves well before they did a lot of that other stuff. they buried their dead with flowers, with panther claws, with the bones of animals they’d killed, with the bones of family members who had died at the same time or earlier. they buried their dead with their arms folded across their chests
they fell in love
they took care of their old and their sick and their disabled, even when it cost them
they made new things, and worried about what the new things meant for people everywhere, as a whole
if anyone asks what shippudens about send them this

The only acceptable reason for this is if this character is actually a demon who seduces men and then eats them. [source]
Staying in the Shadows (A Naruto Fanfiction) Chapter 3 - Part II.
Part I Chapter 1 Chapter 2
Jinko remembered the next day to be the worst survival training she had ever done and that's saying something.
Kakashi sensei instructed each of them to grab a bell which were hanging from his jacket. The problem was there were only three bells rather than four. Meaning one of them was going back to the Academy. All they had to do was to attack him with the intent to kill. Everyone hid themselves amongst the trees and the bushes. Everyone except of Naruto. "Okay you and me right here!" he charged at Kakashi. Jinko pinched the bridge of her nose annoyed. Baka!
Before Naruto did any harm, (not that he could have), Kakashi sensei got behind him and poked him in the butt. "Thousand years of death!" he yelled and Naruto was sent flying into the pond. Seeing this everyone got into action and attacked Kakashi. But Kakashi wasn't a layman, he was a Jonin. The four genins were not even in the same league as him even if combined. Each of them tried their best to catch hold of those bells but none succeeded. Although, Sasuke came quite close. Jinko saw from her hiding place in the bushes that he almost had it. His fingers graced them but Kakashi sensei was fast, he moved away quickly. Jinko thought it was now her chance to attack him as he would be caught off guard. She jumped out with her hands balled in a fist. "Hyaaa!" she yelled, but Kakashi quickly blocked her punches with his mere palms, while still focusing on Sasuke. "You're punches are pathetic," he chastised her. Jinko's mouth opened and a gasp left her lips. Jinko had given all her energy into that punch but he didn't even flinch. Jinko put her other hand in her sachet and pulled out a kunai. Her hand moved towards his arm which was holding her fist but Kakashi simply slapped her kunai away. "You expect such attacks to hurt me?" he sighed. He straightened up and let Jinko's hand go. Jinko fell on her butt with a thud. She looked around and found that Sasuke had taken this opportunity to run away. "I'm giving you one more chance," Jinko looked up at Kakashi. "Hide wherever you want. You take this seriously and attack me with all your strength. If you are going to just play around then don't waste your breath." Kakashi then disappeared leaving Jinko on the ground. Jinko couldn't believe he thought she was not taking this seriously. She really wanted to hurt him and take those bells. What did he mean 'stop playing around'? She wasn't. She came at him with the intention to kill, like he asked them to. Suddenly Sakura's scream was heard through the forest ground. Jinko stood up and ran in her direction. She saw Sakura lying on the ground and rushed forward, however Kakashi sensei jumped out of nowhere and aimed his fist at her. Jinko couldn't block his punch and fell to the ground.
This happened many times. Jinko tried to attack Kakashi and he didn't even need look up from his book to block her. She made a clone and attacked him but the clone was as good as her. She couldn't block the attacks of Kakashi either. She had been hit in the stomach twice and once in her upper arm. Kakashi had disappeared and Jinko was heaving. She didn't have anymore chakra left for another attack. She fell to the ground. The sun was above her head and Jinko could hear the faint ringing of the timer. She got up and started walking towards the stumps where they had began their training. It took all of Jinko's strength to not fall over. As she reached the stumps, Jinko saw Naruto tied to one of them. Sakura and Sasuke sitting on his each side of Naruto and Kakashi sensei was standing before them.
"There you are Jinko!" Naruto said as he saw her walking towards them. "I was wondering where you were. We've all been waiting for you." Suddenly, Naruto's stomach growled. "Uh oh, stomach's growling huh? That's too bad," Kakashi said. "Oh by the way, about this exercise, I've decided. I won't send any of you back to the academy."
Jinko couldn't believe her ears. He's not going to send us back, she thought. "I'm going to drop you from the programme. Permanently." Kakashi finished. Naruto and Sakura yelled in disbelief. Sasuke got up and attacked him with a kunai. Kakashi flung him to the ground and stepped on his body with his foot on Sasuke's head and his arm holding Sasuke's behind his back. "You can't step on Sasuke like he is some kind of bug!" Sakura yelled.
Jinko couldn't hear all the commotion around her. All her brain was capable to think currently was that she wasn't going to be a ninja ever in her life. Jinko wasn't surprised. She was pathetic today no wonder he is dropping her.
"You all think it's a game. Did you determine what's the point of this exercise? Why are all of you put in a team and not individually?" Kakashi explained calmly. Not individually? Because a team is supposed to act together. Otherwise they are no good. "Team work," Jinko said looking down at her feet.
"Yes. Team work. If you all had figured that out and worked together you might have taken the bells."
"Wait a minute!" Sakura yelled. "There were only three bells and four of us. If we had worked together only three of us would have the bells and that would lead to group conflict and fights!"
"Exactly. I pitted you against each other. I wanted to see if you could over come that and put your team ahead first. But it didn't even cross your mind," he explained. "Sakura! You were so obsessed with Sasuke when he was gone but you didn't help Naruto who was right in front of you."
He then addressed Naruto, "You, Naruto, do everything alone. Everything." Kakashi then angled his foot which was rested on Sasuke's head, pushing it more against the ground, "And you Sasuke, you think others are so far beneath you they were worthless. Arrogance." Kakashi hissed.
He then looked at Jinko and his eyebrow crease eased. "As for you Jinko," Jinko looked up. "For not having any Ninjutsu or Genjutsu I expected your Taijutsu to be strong. Unfortunately, it wasn't." "I have ninjutsu! I can produce a shadow clone!" Jinko defended herself. Kakashi was taken aback. "Oh. Well. You are too weak then." He scratched the back of his head. Jinko looked down. She remembered what she had said the other day on the rooftop. She wanted to be the best kunoichi. Guess she was just aiming too high.
Kakashi then demonstrated how during a mission the enemy can take someone hostage and one of them can get killed if they didn't follow team work. He also mentioned the heroes who were K.I.A. but Jinko wasn't listening. She was focused on not letting her tears slip from her eyes. She felt hopeless.
"Alright. I'll give you all one more chance," he looked at them. Jinko looked up, her eyes red. "I'll give you three hours to get those bells. Eat your lunch to build up strength but Naruto won't have any. It's your punishment." Kakashi then walked away leaving them with their lunch boxes.
Everyone sat down and opened their lunch. Jinko was staring at her nails. Naruto's stomach growls again. Jinko sighed. "Here. Take it," Jinko offered her lunch. "No. Jinko it's your food, I can't take it," he protested.
"Take it. I'm not hungry anyway." It was true. Jinko wasn't hungry. Her stomach was churning with her need to cry. She felt as if she had even a bite of food, it wouldn't pass through her throat. She held her dumpling towards his mouth. Naruto opened his mouth and took it in whole. Tears flowed down his face and he was being dramatic about how she cares about him and she is his only best friend. Sakura argued that she was going against Kakashi's instructions and might fail the test.
"Let him." Jinko said adamantly. A surge of anger and rebellion was flowing through her. She was angry at herself, her luck and maybe even Kakashi. Jinko didn't know why she was so angry even when it was true and Kakashi didn't mean her any harm. He was just doing his job.
"Jinko is right. We need to work as a team and for that Naruto needs his strength," Sasuke sided with Jinko. He offered his rice balls to Naruto. Seeing this Sakura gave her food too claiming she was on a diet. Naruto began sobbing earnestly about how wonderful friends they are and he was grateful to have them.
The atmosphere changed quickly. There were black clouds surrounding them. Thunder rumbling. Sakura tumbled back with fright. Naruto, Jinko and Sasuke stood still with their eyes wide. "You!" Kakashi jumped out of nowhere. His face to the closest proximity of Naruto's. "You all passed." He said with a closed eyed smile.
"What?" Naruto yelled.
"Yes, you all passed. You helped your team mate when he needed you," Kakashi replied.
"But you said not to feed him?" Sakura asked incredulously.
"Yes. In the shinobi world, you're required to follow your instructions and those who don't are considered scum. But those who leave their comrade behind are even worse than scum," Kakashi explained calmly.
And hence, Team 7 was formed.
Jinko's reminiscence was interrupted when the door to the office opened and the guard from earlier stepped out. "You can go in," he said, holding the door for them.
Mitsuki and Jinko walked in. The room looked quite modest. Almost nothing had changed since she last saw it. The office looked as bland as it did in the earlier days when she used to come with Team 7 for her missions. Two guards were standing near an office desk. Jinko eyed the masked man sitting on a chair in front of the desk, with his signature bored expression. Jinko felt nostalgic for her childhood days but then she remembered those years and how even breathing was painful and the hair on her neck stood up. Mitsuki had shrunken behind her, clutching the obi of her dress.
Jinko bowed her head. "My lord," she said. Jinko hoped she looked presentable. She wanted to make a good impression. Perhaps, to wipe out her first those many years ago. She slid her hand on the sides of her houmongi, hoping to straighten any crease.
Kakashi's eyes never left her. He looked at her from top to toe. The last time he saw her she was only thirteen. And now she stood, seventeen years later, a full grown woman. She turned out good, he thought. After all, the family was of a feudal lord. The yellow colour of her houmongi brought out her black eyes. Her black, silky hair was tied in a bun. His eyes fell on Mitsuki who was clutching her hand. Look at that, she is a mother now.
"Jinko Eguchi."
"Lord Hokage," Jinko bowed. Eguchi? Mitsuki wondered.
"What brings you here?"
"My lord, I wish to admit Mitsuki—," she placed a hand on Mitsuki's back and nudged him forward. "— into the Academy. They don't have ninja schools from where I come from and he has great potential, my lord. I wanted to place him into the guidance of a Leaf shinobi so that he could be great ninja someday."
Kakashi looked at Mitsuki. His pale skin and snake like eyes looked nothing like Jinko at all. "Is he your son?" Kakashi voiced his suspicion.
Jinko looked down, "No, my lord. I'm his guardian." Kakashi kept his stoic face.
"And is that all you want?"
Jinko shook her head. "There's one more thing, lord Hokage. We wish to settle here, me and Mitsuki. If Mitsuki gets admitted in the Academy, I wish to stay with him. It is the duty that I've been assigned and also for personal reasons," Kakashi looked at the floor. "I hope what we ask isn't too much." Jinko finished.
"I need to counsel this with the others. As you can see, you are outsiders. Though you were a Leaf shinobi Jinko, you aren't now seeing as you don't have your headband. Also, this is a matter of security. It's nothing personal. The elders will discuss it and we will inform you as soon as possible. Till then you could stay in the village as visitors," Kakashi laid back in his chair.
"I understand, my lord." Jinko bowed and turned back to leave. "Oh, and Jinko," Kakashi stopper her. "If the decision is a negative, then you'd have to leave the village the very day. I'd would escort you myself to the village gates."
"Yes." Jinko replied firmly and left the room.
It was clear that he didn't trust her. He would have an ANBU to tail me. I bet he already asked for a background check on us by now, she thought.
"Jinko where will we go now?" Mitsuki asked looking up at her as they walked out of the building.
"We will stay in a hotel till the decision comes," she replied.
"What if they don't allow us to stay?"
"We will cross that bridge when it comes. But for now let's go find Ichiraku ramen shop!" Jinko tugged at Mitsuki's hand and dragged him to the streets of Konoha.

Chapter 3: Tranquility.
You open your eyes, only to realize you’ve fallen asleep in Uta’s lap. Blood rushes to your cheeks out of embarrassment, who knew the day’s events had such an effect on you.

“It’s okay, I figured you’d be exhausted after stressing out all day”, he stands up, offering you his hand. “If you want you can go to sleep, although I did want to do one last thing with you”, he adds.
