Samasthiti is a command to attention. Some call it Tadasana (Mountain Pose). This is the first pose to learn before any other posture. Alignment and refining our understanding of Samasthiti will lead to healthy yoga practice and life because is to use it through all day. Believe it or not, is not an easy pose because of all the alignments.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How to do it:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1-Feel the distribution of weight between the two feet and between the four corners of the feet. The weight should be on the center of the heel, on the outside of the foot, and on the balls of the toes. Lift your fingers and spread them out before placing them back on the floor. Pressing the big toe and the outside of the foot will create a strong arch through the feet.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2-Engage through the quadriceps muscles in the front of the leg. This will lift the kneecap and prevent the legs from extending too far.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3-Begin to tilt your pelvis so that your tailbone moves down and slightly forward and the top of your pelvis moves back and slightly downward. Maintain a neutral position in the pelvis to feel a smooth extension in the spine.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4-Expand through your chest and upper back at the same time. The chest should lift without bulging forward. Keep the column as long as possible. Try not to arch your lower back.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5-Roll your shoulders down and back. Try not to trap your shoulder blades. Try to a feel of subtle expansion in your upper back.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
6-The arms will remain at the sides or hand together like in the photo. Keep your head slightly back, with your chin level with the floor, and looking straight ahead. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Then, breathe slowly and deeply. Hold your posture and try subtle changes in pose to observe the effects they have on the body, both physically and energetically.

“Know and Respect your limits rather then fight them”
Normally people goes to yoga books to see asana and then do by the book. You need to respect your body. There’s nothing wrong trying to increase your strength, flexibility, and range of motion, but be aware of injuries that you may causing your body. Most of them just appear a few years later.
When you trying a asana, follow this steps:
1-Start in the level you feel comfortable, without blocking your joints.
2-Stay in the pose and focus on your breathing
4-If you feel that is easy, then try the next level.
3-Follow this steps until you reach the most advanced level.
⚠️⚠️⚠️ BUT!!! ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️
1-Don’t worry if your not flexible like people on magazines and Instagram
2–Even in the easiest level, for your body, the benefits are the same.
3-Hurting yourself is causing damage in your only holy house-Your Body.
🙏🏼 If you need help to reach a pose send me message. I’ll help you.
