Alright Since It's Trending I Figured I'd Share My Wish For Season 2 As Someone Who Watched The Original
alright since it's trending I figured I'd share my wish for season 2 as someone who watched the original show growing up and has a lot of nostalgia for these characters:
Luke ridiculously pining for Julie.
That's it.
The original Luke suffered so much for this girl it was almost painful to see. Here are some examples:
When Julie was into The Blonde Boy™️, Luke had already fallen for her but never shared his feelings so she was constantly talking about her crush and he was just 'Yes darling lovely that you two are getting close' and you could see the sadness in his face. It was lovely.
The original Blonde Boy™️ was a jerk, so when Julie asked for Original Luke to spy on him (it was 2007 when the show aired, I remind you) to see what he thought of her, Blonde Boy said some bad things, and OG Luke instead of telling the truth and breaking Julie's heart, just said what he thought of her like If I Could Tell Her in Dear Evan Hansen, you know? I still wonder how that helped anyone or what sense that scene made, but damn it was cute.
And last but not least: If I recall correctly (because I haven't watched that show in nearly a decade) the bad guy once blackmailed OG Luke and literally tortured him so OG Luke could protect Julie or whatever. Later on the series the bad guy also manages to catch Julie for a while so he has to watch her being mentally tortured by this evil ghost cop guy. I remember crying on that scene.
OG Luke would literally die again for her and that's exactly what I'm expecting of the remake. Everything about it so far is perfect and is even better than the original show in some aspects, except for Julie and Luke's relationship. If you think you've seen the best hurt/comfort and pining yet, no you haven't. Not until Julie and Luke finally are able to get together after all the pining and suffering and yearning and hurt/comfort they deserve.

I've created a full timeline chart for the entirety of the Back to the Future Game to calculate exactly how long Marty's adventure last. And mainly to see how hungry and sleep deprived he was, and boy howdy does this boy need some food and sleep!

And here's my more comprehensive notes. I tried to hit every single time change in the "Our Story So Far" tab. It's a lot more stream of consciousness and less formal, but was very fun. This is where I got my data from, added up, and stuck into my chart. It's got plot points, some bits of dialogue, and some analysis. (It's also completely unedited as of yet, so keep that in mind 😅)
Feel free to take a gander! :D

Past and future
"Luke? You're so quiet today."
Jessie had been babysitting the Ross family long enough to be able to tell when one of the kids was seriously upset about something. And the Luke she knew preferred to fool around, but not sit on the floor of his own room alone.
The boy winced at the sound of her voice and smiled. Luke had incredible artistry — which, however, was extremely useful for a future professional dancer — and he could easily seduce anyone with his big brown eyes and freckles, which made him look vaguely like a human incarnation of a Dalmatian. But he always smiled at her in a special way, without a hint of pretense. Zuri joked that she had brought her into the house, and thanks to Luke, the girl stayed on for a permanent position. It was no secret that, despite the great amorousness of the eldest of the sons, his heart was surprisingly given only to Jessie. But what to do with such a gift? She never considered herself too beautiful or capable of gathering crowds of admirers in principle. Perhaps this was explained by internal self-doubt.
"Do you remember the good old days when there was no one to raise you?" Jessie asked, noticing the photo album lying on his lap, and sat down next to him.
"Very funny, Jess," Luke responded discontentedly, as if by chance leaning his head closer to her shoulder. "Ask the younger ones that, and they will definitely decide that you are tired of us."
"Where would I go from you?" the girl grinned. "My conscience would torment me. Zuri won't let me go until she comes of age. I myself am interested to know what wonderful people you will grow up to be.
"You know, I don't want to grow up. You will leave, you will have your own life, in which there is no place for four teenagers..." he muttered, not looking at her.
"Luke..." Jessie said, confused, and pulled him into her arms.
Of course, she loved the entire Ross family. And it wasn't just the supposed opportunities to become an actress or earn some money. Despite the sometimes unbearable behavior of her charges, it was hard for her to imagine how life would have unfolded without the guys. Would she have been able to stay in this city at all? Would there have been a good reason? It seemed as if Luke had heard her thoughts.
"And I thought about what it would be like to live with... my blood mother. She... loved me. All parents love their children. But why did she leave me then? What if I wasn't good enough for her?" Luke looked up. There was no mischievous twinkle in his eyes: only a hidden sadness.
"I'm sure your mother had her own circumstances." Jessie smiled warmly, hoping to cheer him up. "Are you happy in this family?"
"Of course! I can't imagine a better family! I was lucky to be with loving parents," Luke replied with a bit of indignation. "Besides, if I had stayed in my blood family, I would be a completely different person. You and I would never have met..."
"I can't imagine how I would live," the girl said with exaggerated drama. "And how can anyone not love you? You're a wonderful child with many talents. A whole world of possibilities is open to you!"
"And among them, there is not a very specific one?.." He bowed his head with the most charming look he could muster.
"They say that love lasts three years. Then you will find out who is really close to you." The girl gently patted his head.
Jessie frankly didn't believe that these feelings would remain in him at least until adulthood. She remembered herself in those years: interests changed rapidly, not to mention sympathies. But that devotion of the boy, who watched her looking for a new relationship, was amazing. Sometimes it even seemed that his intentions were much more serious.
"I already know. I'm sure that nothing will change." And again that loving look, from which the soul became ashamed.
"What are you chatting about?" Zuri looked into the room with a suspiciously cunning expression on her face.
"I’m so lucky to have you all," Luke chuckled, winking at Jesse.
She won't tell about his little weakness. A real family isn't always the one that is blood relatives.
that scene when daniel goes to a fresno concert, closes his eyes soaking everything in and the music slowly fades with a buzzing sound while you can still see him at the side of the stage and all the people and flashing lights and then you realize it's possibly the first time in 30 years that he goes to a concert >>>>>>>>>>>> any scene ever recorded before or after
I may or may not have be waiting for this moment my whole life (and yeah that is a hiberbole) but I finally got the oportunity to talk about two of my favorite subjects: Brazil and Julie e os Fantasmas, not Julie and the Phanthoms, the original brasiliam version of the show.
So, my jorney started when I was talking online with my cousin and we got on the discussion about the differences of the two series what ended with us looking through american articles about the show and talking/discuting and ocasionaly laughting at them. There wasn’t many articles, but there was enough to make the conversation flow and them my catalisys happened - kindda of - I found an Screen Rant article about the diferences between them.
It was a short article and most of it was pretty basic stuff, I didn’t agree wth everything and honestly found the way they made some comparissons unecessary - they didn’t need to drag the brazilian version down to put the american up! both are already great shows - but like whathever. Them… them it came a sentence that annoyed me a lot : the figurine talk.
Now I don’t think it was on purpose or anything like that but it had some misinformation. It started pretty solid with the article stating that since the bands (Apolo 81 and Sunset Curve) were from diferent timelines (the first from the 80′s and the former from the 90′s) they dressed diferentely. What yeah. It’s a good point.

Even the picture about the cd and the disco show it perfectly. They are not the same band. They are not from the same era nor from the same country and as so they are not so similar in most ways. It is a extremely good point on a comparison.
So why it bothered me so much?
Well, cause what came after it.
