Kind of interesting that there’s overlap in the aspec and poly spaces
My take, from experience trying to convey it to others:
Crush = I want a romantic relationship with that
Squish = I want strong emotional connection with that
Basically, a crush is wanting romance with someone and a squish is wanting platonic closeness with someone (qpr, or “just” unlabelled super close friends)
