Thank you to everyone for blowing up my Stan and Mabel Headcanons post! I never expected to reach 1000 notes on a post, much less within my first week :') I'm probably gonna post a part 2 if I can think of more good ones! I love you all

More Posts from Lkfarrout
Films i would watch with Stanley Pines
and headcanons of his reactions to them
The Blues Brothers:
c'mon two brothers that goof around and run from the cops together? he'd love it
i fear he would laugh so hard he'd cry at the scene where they keep swearing and the nun hits them with the ruler over and over
would crack jokes about how his exes are just like Carrie Fisher's character
Pride and Prejudice (2005)
would complain at first but then get really invested
would lose his shit when Darcy proposes (You had your chance at the cotillion, you!)
would cry when Mr. Bennet talks to Lizzie after giving Darcy his blessing
would be very annoyed with Mr Collins ofc
Blazing Saddles
already one of his favorites probably
would fall out of his chair laughing when Mongo punches the horse
Les Miserable
would relate hard to Jean Valjean
would cry multiple times (me too)
he'd be caught humming Do You Hear The People Sing for days afterwards
My Big Fat Greek Wedding
the big family he always wanted
would love lines like "is okay, I make lamb"
he'd want to get greek food afterwards
might actually try to cure something with windex
Stan and Soos Headcanons
Stan didn't pay Soos to work until he turned 15 (child labor laws, y'know). It was more like voluntary babysitting, though Stan would never admit it. Soos still refers to that time as his "apprenticeship"
Soos wanted to drop out of school and just work at the shack but Stan encouraged him to finish, since he never got the chance. Stan bought Soos a used truck as a graduation gift
Stan always made an effort not to swear in front of Soos, which made things easier when the kids moved in
Soos invites Stan to church every Christmas and Easter. Stan is uncomfortable the whole time, but still goes, and secretly likes knowing that someone thought of him
During the winter months, things get slow and sometimes Stan doesn't bother opening the store. He still pays Soos a full salary, even if all he did was shovel snow for a few hours
Before leaving with Ford, Stan spent a week finally getting the shack's finances in order so Soos wouldn't get in any trouble with the IRS while he was gone.
Stan and Mabel edition
Stan and Dipper edition
How I imagine the writing process for Swooning Over Stans went down:
SPOILERS!
"Okay what does Stan like that we can have the player do with him?"
Crime
Fishing
Boxing
Dancing
Making out in the car like teenagers
"That feels really solid, okay let's do Ford now"
Monster/Cryptid hunting
DD&MD
.....jellybeans? we can do something with that right?
uh, swimming I guess. whatever.
(this is all jokes i love the game and enjoy both routes, Stan's just feels more complete)
(tw: war)
Its been on my mind lately that if Stanley left home in the late 60's or early 70's he would have been eligible for the vietnam draft. And that maybe the first time he commited identify fraud was to evade the draft. One of his prison sentences may have even been due to this. The sentence for draft evasion was 5 years, and while we know his time imprisoned in Columbia was due to a heist, we're left in the dark about his other sentences.
Maybe at first, Stanley had intentions of getting his family the money honestly, but the draft threw a wrench into the whole thing and it spiraled him into a life of crime until the postcard came.
Meanwhile, Stanford was exempt because he was enrolled as a college student. University enrollment allowed deferment from the draft until schooling was complete. And if Ford was enrolled in PHD programs until after 1974, he would've never had to report.
I wonder, did Stanford ever watch the news, the riots, and think about his brother potentially being sent to die in a foreign country? Did he care?
Did Stan ever feel like a coward for not going to war? Did he wonder if his family would have thought of him as a hero - if more people would have attended his funeral - if he had died in vietnam instead?
I have this idea for a comic strip in my head where the pines twins^2 are building a lego set and Stan and Mabel want to attempt to build it with just the picture on the box first and Dipper and Ford are holding the instructions and getting incredibly stressed out watching them
If anyone who can draw wants to make this feel free :)
