(tw: war)
Its been on my mind lately that if Stanley left home in the late 60's or early 70's he would have been eligible for the vietnam draft. And that maybe the first time he commited identify fraud was to evade the draft. One of his prison sentences may have even been due to this. The sentence for draft evasion was 5 years, and while we know his time imprisoned in Columbia was due to a heist, we're left in the dark about his other sentences.
Maybe at first, Stanley had intentions of getting his family the money honestly, but the draft threw a wrench into the whole thing and it spiraled him into a life of crime until the postcard came.
Meanwhile, Stanford was exempt because he was enrolled as a college student. University enrollment allowed deferment from the draft until schooling was complete. And if Ford was enrolled in PHD programs until after 1974, he would've never had to report.
I wonder, did Stanford ever watch the news, the riots, and think about his brother potentially being sent to die in a foreign country? Did he care?
Did Stan ever feel like a coward for not going to war? Did he wonder if his family would have thought of him as a hero - if more people would have attended his funeral - if he had died in vietnam instead?
Stan would be a whore for back scratches from his partner. He's always asking for them. He doesn't even have to say he wants them, he'll just stand close to you with his back turned and you just know what he's asking for. If you don't immediately start scratching he'll look back at you like "You gonna scratch my back or what? It's not gonna scratch itself babe 🙄."
If you stop scratching, he'll say "Hey! Where're ya goin'? Who told ya to stop? Get back here and finish scratchin' me! I can't reach it 🥺!"
He's such an old fart

Someone put my headcanons post on tiktok and it got 24k likes... please don't steal other people's content, guys :(
The way Stanley??? Always looks out for his family??? Even when they've been mean to him???? Is honestly really admirable????
Like not everyone would look out for their sibling after they've cut them out of their life. Not everyone would try to be better for their niece and nephew because they wanted to leave originally. Not everyone would take a lonely boy under their wing and become essentially their parental figure. Not everyone would still try to make amends when their sibling is hellbent on holding onto a grudge nor willing to sacrifice themselves to protect their loved ones.
Stanley Pines is like the most selfless dude when it really comes down to it. He's a good man despite his fuck ups and it makes me adore him as both a character and a person. Wish we had more people like Stan out there in the world.
Silly Quirks of Stanley Pines (hcs)
No I will not elaborate!
Types on a computer with just his index fingers
Kisses with his eyes open
Can count money really fast
Can play the harmonica, but not very well
Tries to kill flies by punching them in mid air (has never been successful)
Drunk kissed an Elvis impersonator
Owns a custom bowling ball and bowling shoes
Believes premium gasoline is a scam
Accused of forklift certification fraud (guilty)
Still doesn't really know what 'kosher' means (grew up Jewish)
I would still let this man do unspeakable things to me
