ARE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE?: Nope. Although, my name is quite funny because it’s the antonym of what I do for a living.  

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED?: Last Friday. I don’t cry often, but I had a rough week, and I felt a lot better afterward, so that’s nice!  

DO YOU HAVE KIDS?: Yes, I have a little goblin of my own! He’s one and a half, and a handful.

WHAT SPORTS DO YOU PLAY/HAVE YOU PLAYED?: As a child, I played baseball. Against my will. Because my dad coached it. I also did karate for a few years, then belly dance as a teenager. As an adult, it’s been mostly Yoga and Pilates. I was a fitness instructor with Fitspirit before I had my son, but now I just hit the gym whenever I can, about three times a week.

DO YOU USE SARCASM?: No.

WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT PEOPLE?: I don’t know. Depends on the people, I guess. The first thing I WANT to access is whether they are queer, neurodivergent and nerd enough for me to stop masking around them.

WHAT’S YOUR EYE COLOUR?: Light green!

SCARY MOVIES OR HAPPY ENDINGS?: The thing about movies is that I tend to identify patterns and end up spoiling them for myself. Because of that, I have yet to come across a scary movie that truly frightens me. So... Happy endings? However, I do indulge in some good horror books.

ANY TALENTS?: Hyperfixating. I once decided I wanted to get a few plants. The next thing I knew, I had 200. Last summer, I decided I wanted to learn how to crochet. A few days later, I was pattern testing for professional crochet artists. Apparently, I’m also a decent writer.   

WHERE WERE YOU BORN?: Canada.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?: I write quite a bit, but have a myriad of other interests, including cooking, drawing, sewing, flirting with pretty ladies, crocheting, hitting the gym, and anything else that captures my autistic bird brain's attention.

DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS?: Yes! I have two cats: Chat Baudelaire and Edgar Allan Paw. 😸

HOW TALL ARE YOU?: Smoll, 5'3.

FAVOURITE SUBJECT IN SCHOOL?: Well, I teach French literature so I would have to go with that! As a student, I loved art class and ethics as well.  

DREAM JOB?: I really enjoy my teaching job, although I would love to make a living from my writing if I could.

I've been grading papers laced with bad grammar all day, it's literally the first thing my tired brain noticed 😂

I wonder, often, if there is a certain amount of damage that is a... sweet spot, shall we say, for engendering darkside power. Unlocking ones potential, without rendering it down.

Enough suffering, to temper the blade.

Not so much that it becomes brittle.

I am sure I have long past both, and become something else entirely. Still, I persist.
