🗡️  JINXES -  quick-lasting, harmless but mean-spirited.

nox - a spell to end a source of light or positivity

your heart in my hand -  to send someone nightmares and to feel a general sense of being lost in life

burn your wishes - a simple curse to destroy someone’s wishes

spell of shattered sight -  a spell that makes a person only see the most ugly aspects of themselves and others around them

🗡️ HEXES - mal-intended spells with temporary effects. 

burst your bubble -  a simple curse to destroy someone’s ego/hope

hex for a player -  a curse from scorned lovers to the one breaking hearts, to give them difficulty finding anyone to be with romantically/sexually

cerberus hex - attacks what hurts things under plutonic protection spell

breezeblocks curse -  to affect someone you resent for leaving

pumpkin head - seasonal hex to “burn” those who wrong you

bad moon rising - a revenge curse, general misfortune for a month

🗡️ CURSES - intense, powerful and long lasting.  

to sink a sailor -  to symbolically drown someone 

marooned sailor curse -  a curse to strand them alone in life. 

avada kedavra - a curse not to kill, but to make the target feel death’s presence in their life. 

imperius curse -  to make the intended feel helpless, that things in their life are out of their power and control

cruciatus curse  - to create pain in the life of the intended, whether physical or emotional

seven devils curse -  a curse to burn the kingdom of and haunt the target

thorn in my side - a curse for abusers

red in your ledger - to return the hurt someone has done

if you take issue with cursing, jinxing, or hexing, that is your craft, but please do not add onto this post telling witches not to curse because “karma”, “the three fold law” or whatever.  mind your own craft.

The Worst Tarot Cards Give the Best Advice

Some find it confusing when a difficult card falls in the advice position. Death is not asking you to die. But the Five of Cups wishes you would cry.

Death

Purge your soul of what no longer serves you. It will only be more painful if you wait for life to force you.

Three of Swords

Acknowledge your pain. The wound will fester if you keep denying its presence. Healing begins only with acceptance.

The Devil

Dive into it with all your might. Do not go gentle into that good night. It will all be worth the fall.

Five of Cups

Cry till the tears run dry. Till the darkness has gone, leaving only the light. Then turn around for a wondrous sight.

Two of Swords

You will never be completely certain. No one is in life. All you can do is follow your heart. It will lead you to what is right.

Turn your fear into fuel. Do not sit there waiting for destruction. Fight with all your might to escape annihilation.

Five of Pentacles

If you bother to look up, you will notice a shelter. Enough with the self-pity. Time to outsmart the weather.

Nine of Wands

As things stand, it is not safe for you to love. This is not the time to fall. Protect your heart, and build a wall.

Ten of Swords

Some pains demand to be felt. So feel them. Give them their deserved recognition. Then banish them to oblivion.

The Tower

Let it end. Watch calmly as it comes crashing down. You have to eradicate the old before you can build a new town.

🍜Healing Soup Spell 🍜

I based this recipe off of this recipe I found a few years ago and it has gone through a LOT of tweaking, especially in regards to herbs and the like.You can 1000% customize this spell to your heart’s content – especially if you’re not a Norse practitioner like me! I came up with the spell during my undergrad when I was helping organize an academic conference and didn’t have the time to get sick since the conference was a week away and it works wonders!

Ingredients:

2 tbsp. butter (I’d highly recommend my garlic butter protection spell!) ½ an onion (protection, cleansing, absorbing negative energy) ½ c. of celery, chopped (calming) 1 c. of carrots, diced (protection, healing) ½ to 1 lb. of chicken (grounding, healing, protection, strength) 1 ½ c. of vegetable broth, salted 5 c. of chicken broth, salted 1 ½ c. pasta of choice (I use pasta in fun shapes!) ½ tsp. basil (protection, purification, harmony, calm) ½ tsp. oregano (happiness, strength, vitality, energy) ¼ tsp. sage (protection, purification, cleansing) 2-3 sprigs of fresh rosemary (protection, purification, banishing, healing, sleep) Grated ginger to taste; about 1 tsp. (health, prosperity) Sea salt or pink salt to taste (purification, cleansing, banishing, grounding and centering) Pepper to taste (protection, banishing, wards off dark/negative energy) 6+ cloves of garlic, minced; dependent on personal taste (health, prosperity)

Cooking Instructions: 

1. Rub salt and pepper into your chicken and throw it into a frying pan with the rest of your butter and cook your chicken. Once it’s finished cooking, let your meat rest and then shred it. 2. As your chicken rests, in a medium to large sized pot, heat up 1 tbsp. butter until it’s mostly melted. Then throw in your onion and your celery and cook them until they’re soft. 3. Add your vegetable and chicken broth into the pot with the celery and onion and add your diced carrots into the broth pot. 4. Add your herbs and wait until your vegetables go soft. 5. After your vegetables soften, put your shredded chicken into the pot along with your desired pasta and the sprigs of rosemary. Cook for about 20 minutes or so (or at least until you reach the desired density of pasta; I prefer mushy noodles when I get sick because my throat swells). 6. After this time, take your herbs that you’ve used and sprinkle the herbs on your soup in the form of the following runes: Ansuz, Sowilo/Sowulo, and Laguz. Ansuz - Good health, harmony, blessings. Sowilo/Sowulo - The sun, life-force, health, victory, wholeness. Laguz - Water, healing power of renewal, life energy. Note: If you don’t work with runes and/or aren’t a Norse practitioner, you can absolutely omit this step OR you can create your own sigil beforehand. If you don’t want to use these specific runes, you can also do your research into what other runes might be beneficial for you! 7. Once you’ve sprinkled on your rune-herbs, you can do a little chant if you so desire. I like to sing the Healing Incantation from Tangled. As you chant or sing, stir your soup, clockwise/sunwise/deosil/doesil to imbue your soup with luck. 8. Consume your soup! I find that this recipe makes enough to last a few days, too!
