One Simple Exercise to Increase your Intuition

One Simple Exercise To Increase Your Intuition

Intuition: the ability to understand something immediately, without the need for conscious reasoning.

We are all intuitive beings and we are all born with the same intuitive abilities, it is just that some people have had more practice.

Your intuition already lives within you, it is already strong, and it is already willing to guide you.

Learning to develop your intuition is truly an invaluable tool that can help you make decisions and can bring you clarity when logic alone is not enough.

You need not acquire any skills to enhance your intuition except a little patience and trust.

Meditation is one of the best ways to put you in the space of receiving intuitive guidance. This is because when your mind is still, you have the ability to filter out unnecessary thoughts in order to access that quiet, still, intuitive mind.

Another great exercise for increasing your intuition however, is a technique that is called Blind Reading.

Here is what to do:

Part 1

Take three blank cards and write: Yes, No & Maybe on one side. Turn them over and shuffle them around so you have no idea which card is where.

Still your mind, then ask a question that you know the answer to such as- “Is my name is Judy”. Close your eyes and place your hands over the cards one at a time.

Notice the different energy or feeling your receive when your hand is on top of each card.

Select the card that you felt the strongest pull to. Keep practicing until you learn what is your intuitive voice, and what is just your mind.

Part 2

When you feel that you have a good understanding of what your intuitive voice sounds and feels like, you can begin asking questions that you do not know the answer to.

Got something that is bothering you? Take the cards and write down three possible situations- one on each card.

Turn them over and repeat the exercise, see which possibility you are more drawn to- perhaps your intuition is trying to tell you something?

Blind Readings are a great way to develop your intuition and to discover what your intuitive voice sounds like. Again, with more practice you will soon become a natural at learning what your intuition is trying to tell you.

Alchemical Planetary Sigils for Evocation

Alchemical Planetary Sigils For Evocation

This post is going to be a sort of follow-up on my Planetary Decagram post. However, where that post focused on the invocation of Planetary Influences, this post is going to focus on the evocation.

Though the two words are often mistakenly used interchangeably, invoking refers to the calling upon or appealing to some power outside of the practitioner, whereas evoking refers to the act of summoning a power within the practitioner, for example: Simon performed an invocation to summon the presence of Artemis, while Samantha performed an evocation to summon within herself the attributes of Artemis, for use in her Craft.

As such, this post is going to focus on the evoking of Planetary Influences from within, so as to affect the actions and inner workings of the practitioner.

The above sigils (taken from my grimoire) are that which i have created, using the astrological glyphs of the planets, and the alchemical glyph for the process of amalgamation (which is the upper-most glyph pictured). I have created these sigils by melding each planetary glyph with this alchemical symbol to create ten unique and useful planetary sigils.

The reason i have chosen the above alchemical amalgamation symbol, is because these sigils are intended to be inscribed upon the skin, thus amalgamating that planet’s attributes and influences with that of the practitioner. In so doing, the practitioner is able to call forth within themselves the power of that planet, for use in their Craft and in their daily life.

So, say you wanted to evoke within yourself the powers of Neptune. Perhaps you wish to delve further into your subconscious, strengthen your intuition, or are planning on doing some serious dream work. For whatever reason, you require the attributes and powers of Neptune, and wish to summon those attributes within yourself:

• Sit yourself down at your altar or working area, and, with a suitably smudge-proof ink, inscribe the amalgamative glyph of Neptune (pictured above) upon your skin. Anywhere on the body is fine. • Dip your finger into some good quality olive oil, and anoint the sigil on your skin, all the while focusing on what aspects of Neptune you wish to evoke. • Take a small sprinkling of dried, ground Neptunian herb, and sprinkle it onto the oiled sigil, further infusing those properties into your being. (A list of planetary herbs is given below). • Sit in quiet contemplation for a few moments, and, using whichever method you normally employ, finish up the ritual and dab off the oil/herb with a clean cloth. Your method of closing a ritual might include blowing out any candles you burnt for the working, saying any words of power you choose (“it is done,” “make it so,” etc.), snapping your fingers or closing your circle, and so on. • Congratulations, you are now a Neptunian badass with all the planetary power you could possibly need. Have fun and kick ass!

Planetary Herbs:

Sun - Frankincense, Camomile, Cedar Moon - Myrrh, Jasmine, Lemon Mercury - Lavender, Geranium, Marjoram Venus - Rose, Ylang-ylang, Lilac Mars - Cinnamon, Eucalyptus, Basil Jupiter - Sandalwood, Oak, Clove Saturn - Cypress, Patchouli, Hemlock Uranus - Coffee, Black Mustard, Anise Neptune - Willow, Mugwort, Lotus Pluto - Poppy, Dandelion, Belladonna

Designing Complex Spells

image
image

It’s been a while since I’ve made a witchy post. This past full moon, I spent a good deal of time designing a complex spell. You can see the pages I brainstormed for a complex spell above.

For the sake of this post, a complex spell:

is sometimes cast to achieve long-term results, without having to consistently recast the spell

requires a lot of magical energy

requires planning

consists of multiple steps, or possibly multiple spells cast in succession

I highly recommend that experienced witches cast these types of spells, mainly because they have the ability to completely drain you. And I don’t want any of you harming your lovely selves!

This post is a guide or, at the very least, food for thought on how to design complex spells. As an example I will use the most recent spell I designed, a spell to worry less about what others think of me.

Step 1: Determine exactly what kind of spell(s) you wish to cast, and in what order.

For example, I created a spell to worry less about what others think of me. But in witchcraft terms, what exactly am I doing? Is it banishment, where I force others to turn their opinions away from me? Is it protecting myself from others’ opinions? Is it cleansing myself from the effect that others have on me? Is it an anti-anxiety spell, or a confidence spell? There’s a lot to consider here that can’t be covered in a single step. Think hard about exactly what you want to achieve. This is a very critical step, so do some brainstorming or sit on it if you must.

Eventually I decided to imitate the weight of others’ opinions on me, cleanse myself of their affect, protect myself from their affect, and then banish others’ affect on me. ( I figured that other peoples’ opinions will be there whether I banish them or not, so I might as well protect myself from them before banishing them from my mind, in a sense.) There are many other ways I could’ve done this spell that would’ve changed the overall intent. But notice how I’m including four spells into one ritual: simulating peoples’ attention on me, cleansing myself, protecting myself, and a banishing at the end.

Step 2: Decide which actions to perform.

In my opinion, action is just as important (if not more) than ingredients in spell work. The action determines what you do with the ingredients you decide on doing. For each spell/step, brainstorm a couple options you could potentially do for that step. Here’s my example:

Ridding Scrutiny: burning, crushing, ripping, trapping in a jar, burying, locking away, cutting, throwing into the wind or into a body of water, snuffing out a candle.

Once you’ve got some potential actions written down, you can decide on which one works best for your particular spell.

Step 3: Decide on materials for each step.

For this step, I advise that you coincide the magical properties of the materials to the purpose of the spell. For example, I had originally thought of ripping up rose petals for the banishing spell, but later decided that that wouldn’t work. Roses symbolize love and peace, and it makes no sense to banish that from my life, when I really want to banish the weight of other peoples’ expectations set on me.

Now that you know exactly what your intentions are, and what actions you’ll be doing with the materials, it’ll be easier to decide on which ingredients to use when. These ingredients don’t only include herbs or crystals–I included mirrors, sticky notes, cleaning wipes, washcloth, and anything else I needed.

I know these are listed as only three basic steps, but hopefully it helps you form an idea on how to design complex spells. If you have any extra ideas or questions, add on to this post, or message me anytime. ☆=(ゝω・)/

That’s all from me for now! Blessed be!! ( ´ ∀`) /.☆.。.:*・°
