Complaints About The Fanfiction I'm Working On.
complaints about the fanfiction I'm working on.
It's the first one I've written, and I can't make the scenes flow from scene to scene, as Baz and Simon only meet once a week. I'm going to push on through the rough draft and see what happens. I'm still going to publish it, just to break the ice and get more confident, but it is so rough. Does anyone have any tips that could help me out a little? TIA.

An appreciation for Shounen as a genre.
I don’t typically watch or read too many shounen series, I’ve only seen Fairy Tail, Edens Zero and I don’t quite count Assassination Classroom and Bungou Stray Dogs. But if I’m ever feeling down or out of it, I turn to shounen.
I started reading Rave Master last night, and it’s so simple… in a good way. In many seinen, romance, and drama anime, you have to do all the work for it. You have to find out the motives, the emotions, the reason. But shounen is so refreshingly simple. The character wants to do the thing, so they do it. To quote Okuda from Assassination Classroom “I don’t need… complicated words”.
In shounen, I think we can all learn how to gain confidence and go out and do it, because we see all kinds of characters doing all sorts of things that are more challenging than what we do on the daily.
That’s it, that’s the post
Hector and Isaac are so interesting and I can’t decide who I like more. I will admit to focusing solely on Trevor, Alucard, and Sypha in seasons 1-2, but can you blame me?
Isaac is complex and I can’t totally understand him but I do on a very minimal level. He flip flops around to me and has so many cool scenes in S3.
But Hector is like a kicked puppy… he is betrayed and used every step of the way, from before Dracula to Lenore. I think he has grown a lot, and now wants things other than necessities from the dungeon (in the dungeon he just wanted boots now he wants a life with Lenore and time to relax). He’s just a little simpler to understand so I guess he’s my favorite only because I can get his motivations.
I can’t wait to rewatch and see what I pick up on when actually knowing these two are main characters lol. Castlevania is so much better than I thought it would be…
I’ve recently realized that Russians in anime are some of my favorite characters.
• Irina Jelavich from Assassination Classroom is my second (only to Koro Sensei) favorite character in the series. She has a cool backstory and is the most human in the series.
• Vorona from Durarara!! I love her, and her progression in the series. She has the coolest fight scenes and I love her interactions with Shizuo and Tom.
• Fyodor from Bungou Stray Dogs. He’s not my favorite but he is just so cool. I’m super intrigued by him and am so excited for the next chapter to find out more about him.
• And finally, Victor from Yuri on Ice. I’m only two episodes into the show but I am in love with his character. He seems to show what being burnt out but still loving something really is.
I might have to start purposefully looking for more shows with Russians in them…
Me when Baz put butter on Simon’s sandwiches because he knew Simon liked them that way:
