ahhh this fic really had me sobbing at 3am 😭😭 but i wouldn’t have it any other way!!! the story was soooo heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time 🥺

first of all, i love the boxing setting! the first paragraph really grabbed me and the whole scene made me feel like i was standing there in the boxing ring!! and wheww jin and jungkook as boxers? i needed a minute to process the image in my head 😮‍💨😮‍💨

my cuties jin and oc 😖😖 it’s amazing how effortlessly they fell in love, it all felt so natural! i loved that they were able to connect and understand each other through their sorrow. their date at the carnival!! it was like they were in their own little bubble 😫 that scene on the ferris wheel? HOT!! 😮‍💨 i liked how they had the chance to work on themselves before meeting again 3 years later. when oc said “rough night?” and he turned around, i felt like everything just clicked!! 😭😭 full circle moment really.

jungkookie :(( i was so heartbroken for him!! when oc broke up with him and he was so devastated i sobbed like a child 🥺🥺 but i’m so glad he found happiness in the end and was able to forgive oc and jin. he deserves the world!!

this is all over the place lolol but what i mean is, i loved this fic!! the characters’ emotions were written in such beautiful way, i felt as if i was going through everything with them 🥹 this is amazing isi, i already feel like rereading!! thank you for writing🤍🤍

ps: i checked out the playlist and omg, so many great songs 😳 it really captures the vibe of the fic!! also i squealed when i saw bad bunny’s “ignorantes” because 1. your taste!! immaculate.. and 2. when i think of bad bunny, i think of “sensualidad” and then i think of sensualidad!hoseok speaking spanish and there’s no going back from there 😵‍💫😵‍💫

Down in the twelfth, crimson streaks cloud Seokjin’s vision. He watches the mangled face of the opponent as Jeon lands another perfect blow, feeling the moment pass in slow motion as he holds his breath. One second passes. Then two. Then three. And then, everything is still. The other man hasn’t moved.

A whistle sounds, the referee’s hand goes up, and Jeon Jungkook, the league’s youngblood, is declared the new middleweight champion.

Bracing himself, Seokjin sucks in another deep breath, followed by the explosion of pain across his temples as the crowd erupts into pandemonium at his protegé’s victory. Time slows down again, his eyes meeting the savage glint in Jungkook’s own. It’s no longer the doe-eyed face glistening with red looking back at him. Chaos surrounds him, and Seokjin comes face to face with a ghost.

Bile rises in his throat as Jungkook’s animalistic victory screech echoes throughout the arena.

The lights go down, and everything moves too quickly. The opponent’s limp body is dragged from the ring, the rise and fall of his chest barely visible. Jungkook hops over the ropes and struts towards the locker room, giving Seokjin his cue to break out of his haze and trail after the younger man.
